With expanding production facilities in both Poland and the UAE, the catamaran builder has unveiled its “next growth phase”.

Sunreef Yachts has announced Beyond 2030, a “structural transformation” designed to scale the catamaran builder towards the objective of €1 billion in annual revenue by 2030. Owners of its luxury yachts include brand ambassadors Rafael Nadal, Fernando Alonso and now Robert Lewandowski.

Sunreef recently stated that it increased its revenue by 10 per cent in 2025, recording a net profit of €40 million. Growing demand for its superyachts also led the company to rise to sixth among yacht builders in the 2026 Global Order Book for 24m-plus yachts.

Francis Lapp, founder and CEO of Sunreef Yachts, said: “In a demanding market, our performance confirms the consistency of our strategy. Beyond 2030 is about scaling with purpose, investing, innovating and positioning Sunreef among the absolute leaders of global yachting. Our goal is clear: €1 billion in revenue while remaining independent and future driven.”

To support its growth trajectory, Sunreef is implementing a €30 million industrial expansion programme across its two major production facilities in Gdańsk, on Poland’s north coast, and Ras Al Khaimah, the UAE’s northernmost emirate.

In Gdańsk, Sunreef has over 2,000 employees and construction has begun on a 160m-long production hall that will significantly increase overall manufacturing capacity and operational efficiency.

The Ras Al Khaimah facility has over 1,100 highly employees and is scheduled to have new composite and CNC production units, an enlarged carpentry workshop and upgraded logistics infrastructure by this summer.

As well as continued industrial expansion, Sunreef stated that growth in the Beyond 2030 roadmap will be driven by product innovation and increased sales.

New models will reflect further premiumisation of the product range, technological leadership in next-generation, sustainable yachting solutions, plus superyacht expansion through new builds and projects under development. Sales will be driven by reinforced representation in key markets and geographic diversification in high-growth regions.

Galeon debuting 520 Fly

The Polish shipyard is unveiling the 520 Fly, which features interior options by Hong Kong-based In Situ & Partners.

Galeon will debut its 520 Fly at this year’s Palm Beach International Boat Show, which will be held in Florida from March 25-29. The world premiere follows an exclusive preview for selected clients and dealers during the Miami International Boat Show in February.

The 520 Fly represents the latest addition to Galeon’s Flybridge collection, which ranges from the 360 Fly to the shipyard’s flagship 800 Fly. The 17.2m yacht also continues the shipyard’s long-time collaboration with Tony Castro Yacht Design, the UK-based studio that handles the model’s distinctive exterior styling.

The clean exterior lines define the yacht’s modern profile while allowing abundant natural light into the interior. The flybridge is arranged as a dedicated social area and is centred around a spacious sofa layout designed for dining, relaxation and open-air entertaining, while a twin-seat helm station to starboard is flanked by two companion seats to port.

Like many models in the Flybridge series, the 520 Fly incorporates refined drop-down wings, an innovation first introduced in the 12-24m category by Galeon and now fully re-engineered for smoother operation. The wings are larger than before, extending the living space, and include windows that provide views of the sea below.

The galley and dining area on the main deck form a unified open space with direct access to the cockpit, allowing effortless movement throughout the deck.

The interior concept, developed in cooperation with Hong Kong-based In Situ & Partners, is presented in the Amber theme from the Mediterranean palette, while Ocean and Ivory are among other décor options. Warm tones, high-gloss lacquer finishes, brass-toned accents and carefully selected fabrics create a contemporary atmosphere.

The lower deck includes accommodation for up to six guests across three cabins. The full-beam master suite, accessed via a private entrance and featuring an en-suite bathroom, offers a dedicated owner’s space.

A forward VIP cabin and a third guest cabin with a sliding bed system, convertible between double and twin configuration, share a bathroom to starboard. An optional skipper’s cabin is available in the stern.

Galeon models are built at the second-generation, family-owned shipyard in Gdansk, where the company has delivered more than 2,800 yachts since 1996.

Richard Liu announces US$700 million investment in Guangdong province to launch the Sea Expandary boatbuilding brand.

Richard Liu, founder of JD.com and a megayacht owner, has announced the launch of Sea Expandary, a new company building intelligent but affordable yachts powered by ‘new energy’ including wind generation and solar power.

According to local and international media reports, the project involves a ¥5 billion (about US$700 million) investment in Guangdong province and includes R&D, manufacturing, sales, operations, leasing, brokerage and after-sales services.

On the same day as the announcement, Sea Expandary signed cooperation agreements with the Zhuhai Municipal Government, Shenzhen Marine Development Bureau and Qianhai Authority.

Sea Expandary’s plans include a headquarters in Shenzhen and a manufacturing base in Zhuhai utilising AI and robotics technology. Aside from boats, the company revealed plans to develop yacht clubs and marinas.

Liu, 52, stated that his goal with Sea Expandary is to make boats and boating affordable and accessible for ordinary consumers, comparing the sector’s potential growth to the expansion of the car industry in China. However, he said he will not be involved in Sea Expandary’s day-to-day operations, and his primary focus remains on JD.com.

The Ferretti Group shipyard is preparing for the US premiere of the 67m custom hybrid superyacht.

CRN is staging the US premiere of the Amor à Vida, its first hybrid superyacht, at the Palm Beach International Boat Show from March 25-29. It will mark the 67.5m yacht’s first major show in the US, having been exhibited at the Antigua Charter Yacht Show last December by Moran Yacht & Ship, which has represented the owner from the design and construction process.

Nuvolari Lenard designed the streamlined exterior of the 1,447GT, six-deck yacht and collaborated on the made-to-measure interiors and fine detailing with Valentina Zannier, initially in her role as the studio’s Interior Art Director and then under her own company established in 2023.

The superyacht can accommodate up to 14 guests in five VIP cabins and the master suite forward on the upper deck, with the entire level dedicated to the owner.

CRN and the Ferretti Group Superyacht Division Group handled the naval architecture of the steel and aluminium displacement superyacht.

The propulsion and onboard energy management are developed around a hybrid propulsion system, which increases the fuel efficiency of the two MTU 12V 4000 M63 diesel engines and the generators. IMO Tier III certified, the yacht has a cruising speed of 15 knots and a top speed of 16 knots.

An advanced heat-recovery system enhances the efficiency of hot-water management across the pools and plumbing network. By repurposing excess heat, the system streamlines hot-water supply throughout the yacht and significantly reduces energy consumption and operational costs, particularly when the yacht is anchored offshore.

Primarily intended for private use by the owners and their guests, Amor à Vida is available for charter during selected periods of the year. Built at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona, Italy, Amor à Vida was delivered to her owners last May before cruising in the Mediterranean.

Nautor Swan has been named an Official Event Partner of the 2026 and 2028 editions of the Rolex China Sea Race. Organised by the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club since 1962 and sanctioned by the Royal Ocean Racing Club, the Rolex China Sea Race is a 565nm Category 1 Offshore Race from Hong Kong to Subic Bay in the Philippines.

The race partnership marks a significant first step in Nautor Swan’s expansion strategy in Asia-Pacific under Sanlorenzo, as it seeks to strengthen its connection with the local sailing community while aligning the brand with a defining event on the international racing calendar.

The 2026 Rolex China Sea will begin on Wednesday, March 4, with the location prizegiving held in Subic Bay on March 8 followed by the official prizegiving in Hong Kong on March 18.

This year, returning competitors include Philip Turner’s Reichel Pugh 66 Alive, which set the current monohull race record in 47 hours, 31 minutes and 8 seconds, while two Swan yachts, the Swan 45 Mazu and Swan 56 Parnassus, are among the fleet.

With the new race partnership aiming to cultivate a stronger, more engaged community of Swan owners in the region, a dedicated award will be awarded to the top-performing Swan yacht, adding a new layer of friendly competition.

Daniele Lucà, CEO of Sanlorenzo Asia Pacific / Simpson Marine, said: “Partnering with the Rolex China Sea Race is a natural step for Nautor Swan in Asia-Pacific and reflects our deep commitment to sailing. The Rolex China Sea Race is precisely the kind of challenge that Swan owners relish. These are sailors who appreciate not only the beauty and comfort of their yachts but also their inherent capability to perform in demanding offshore conditions.

“This notable alliance is also a key part of our strategy in Asia-Pacific. We see tremendous potential in this region. We are dedicated to investing in the sailing community here, creating world-class experiences that showcase our shared passion for the sea and for competitive sailing, building on Simpson Marine’s strong sailing pedigree in the region.”

The Rolex China Sea Race partnership is also a timely tribute to Nautor Swan’s six-decade legacy, as the Finnish builder celebrates its 60th anniversary this year. From the iconic Swan 65 Sayula II, winner of the inaugural Whitbread Round the World Race, to the modern ClubSwan racing fleet, Nautor Swan’s DNA is deeply rooted in adventure and competition.

ClubSwan offers a global calendar of one-design, rating regattas and events, fostering a vibrant community of passionate sailors, while the ClubSwan 28, 36, 43 and 50 continue to excel on one-design racing circuits worldwide.

This year, the Swan community will compete at the Swan Regional Series, the Swan Maxi Series, June’s Swan Heritage Reunion in Capraia, Italy and the second Swan Asian Regatta at Riviera Zushi Marina in Japan. However, the highlight of the year will be the 23rd Rolex Swan Cup from September 14-19 in Porto Cervo, where over 100 Swan yachts are expected to gather.

By also aligning with the Rolex China Sea Race, Nautor Swan is not only enhancing Asia’s most prestigious offshore race but also creating a catalyst to grow the brand’s presence and build a vibrant Swan community in the region.

Giovanni Pomati, CEO of Nautor Group, said: “Nautor Swan has always been synonymous with the world’s most prestigious sailing events. From our own Rolex Swan Cup in the Mediterranean to challenging offshore races across the globe, Swan yachts are built for sailors who seek adventure and performance.

“The Rolex China Sea Race is a legendary event that perfectly embodies this spirit. This partnership is a testament to our global commitment to the sport and our desire to support the growing community of Swan owners in Asia-Pacific. We are excited to bring the same passion and dedication that defines the Swan experience worldwide to this exceptional race, creating a new focal point for our international family of sailors.”

Organisers of the Southeast Asia Yachting Conference have revealed the eight key sessions of the two-day forum, which will be held at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove from April 21-22. The conference is held ahead of the Yacht Style Awards, on the evening of April 22, and the Singapore Yachting Festival (April 23-26), both also held at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove.

Since its launch, the conference has sought to create a structured platform where regulatory, commercial and operational stakeholders can engage in forward-looking dialogue. As Southeast Asia continues to attract international cruising and refit interest, the 2026 edition aims to position the region not only as a destination but as a coordinated ecosystem capable of long-term, scalable growth.

“The overall objective for 2026 is alignment across Southeast Asia. We’ve moved beyond simply discussing growth,” says Conference Producer Wade Pearce.

“The focus now is on structure, credibility and presenting the region as a coordinated, commercially mature market. If we can align infrastructure, regulation and industry standards, Southeast Asia becomes significantly more competitive on a global level.”

The two-day conference invites senior stakeholders from marinas, shipyards, brokerage houses, yacht management firms, government representatives and investors to discuss the state of the ASEAN yachting industry through panels, Q&As and showcases.

The programme for the 2026 Southeast Asia Yachting Conference is structured around eight key sessions designed to address the major constraints and opportunities of the local yachting industry.

State of Southeast Asia Yachting – Regional Market Outlook 2026-30

The opening session will examine fleet movement data, evolving cruising patterns, infrastructure bottlenecks and regulatory developments, providing a data-informed overview of the region.

ASEAN Alignment & International Positioning – Towards a Unified Regional Voice

This panel will explore cross-border collaboration models and policy alignment to strengthen Southeast Asia’s positioning as a connected cruising destination.

From Cruising Only to Strategic Refits – Building a Trusted Refit Ecosystem

This discussion will centre on how the region transitions from opportunistic yard periods to structured, repeat refit programmes.

Marina & Waterfront Development – Infrastructure as the Foundation

This session will focus on long-term marina strategy, mixed-use waterfront projects and public–private collaboration.

Charter Frameworks & Commercial Licensing

Panellists will examine charter licensing models, taxation structures and the alignment of regional operations with global charter standards.

Robotics, AI & Technology

This session looks at how robotics, artificial intelligence and advanced manufacturing are influencing yacht operations in emerging markets.

Startups & New Market Entrants Platform

A dedicated innovation segment will provide emerging businesses with exposure to established industry leaders and investors.

We remain committed to continuous innovation and excellence, striving to deliver the ultimate travel experiences while playing a key role in driving Thailand’s tourism industry toward a sustainable and high-quality international future.”

Founded in 2015, Aim Charters is managed by Umi and co-founder ‘Fern’ Natjira Deeprasert, the company’s CEO. In the last decade, the company has built up a portfolio with booking access to 60 charter yachts across Thailand, making over 500 charter bookings each year.

The company is officially certified with a level five STAR (Sustainable Tourism Acceleration Rating) rating, is accredited under the Thailand Tourism Standard quality benchmark and has received the official Carbon Neutral Event certification from the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO) for its Phang Nga Twilight Sail voyage.

“What makes us really stand out from other yacht brokers is that while most companies only focus on luxury, we’re taking real action for the ocean,” Umi said. “We aren’t just saying ‘we’re green’ – we have the official certification to prove it.”

Aim Charters’ peak charter season is from November to April, but the company also actively promotes bookings from May to October to allow guests to experience the Thai islands in greater depth during the quieter months.

Casa Sanlorenzo, Venice

Sanlorenzo is celebrating 10 years of arts patronage with its most ambitious cultural calendar to date. The Italian shipyard’s year-long cultural programme spanning art, design, craftsmanship, innovation and sustainability is anchored by the first full year of activity at Casa Sanlorenzo, which last year was inaugurated during the Venice Climate Week and also hosted the ‘Breathtaking’ exhibition by Fabrizio Ferri.

Sanlorenzo’s 2026 arts programme will start at the Milan Design Week in April, where the builder will return to the Interni exhibition programme with a new installation by Piero Lissoni at the Università degli Studi di Milano.

From May, Casa Sanlorenzo will host a series of events through to late November. This year, its first major exhibition is ‘Waves’, which will be held from May 6-June 28 during the Venice Biennale d’Arte period as a landmark exhibition within the city.

‘Waves’ is curated for Sanlorenzo by Sergio Risaliti, Artistic Director of Museo Novecento in Florence, and Cristiano Seganfreddo, with the scientific support of Ersilia Vaudo Scarpetta. The installation will showcase the work of masters of modern art and sculpture such as Alexander Calder, Fausto Melotti, Lucio Fontana and Tony Cragg, alongside emerging contemporary artists including Christine Safa, and visual artists Friederich Andreoni and Marcello Maloberti.

From June 3-8, Sanlorenzo will again participate at Venice Climate Week, opening the doors again to Casa Sanlorenzo for dialogue, science and collective action on climate change.

From September 1-30, Casa Sanlorenzo will serve as a host venue for the fourth edition of Homo Faber in Città. This year’s exhibition, ‘An Island of Light’, is curated by the Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship. Artistically directed by Es Devlin, the showcase investigates the interplay between light, materials and artisanal skill, highlighting the dialogue between craftsmanship, creativity and innovation.

From October 12-November 24, Casa Sanlorenzo will host a solo exhibition by Roselena Ramistella at Casa Sanlorenzo. Commissioned by Sanlorenzo, the work by the Sicilian photographer documents life on Italy’s lesser-known islands outside of the tourist season, and the islanders who inhabit them.

Massimo Perotti, Sanlorenzo’s Executive Chairman, said: “Over the past 10 years, Sanlorenzo Arts has grown from an instinctive passion into the cultural compass of our organisation. Guided by a belief that culture and responsibility are not complements to excellence but its foundation. To support culture is to invest in ideas, champion craftsmanship and encourage the courage to question the present while imagining the future.

“It was in this spirit that we opened Casa Sanlorenzo in 2025 as a permanent cultural home for Sanlorenzo Arts. With our first full-year programme, our ambition is clear: to build a platform where art, sustainability and design exist in meaningful dialogue, reflecting the restraint, innovation and timelessness that define Sanlorenzo in yachting.”

In January, Sanlorenzo Asia Pacific was a Supporting Partner of ART SG, a major modern art fair held during Singapore Art Week.

Europa Yachts, headed by CEO Thomas Cachera, has been appointed as the exclusive Indonesia dealer for both Beneteau and Lagoon, with the company building on its representation of both Groupe Beneteau brands in the Philippines.

Europa Yachts has fostered strong communities for both brands in the Philippines, providing a full ownership journey for customers from initial consultation and yacht selection to delivery coordination, after-sales support and long-term service planning, while also organising Beneteau Rendezvous and Lagoon Escapade events.

In Indonesia, Europa Yachts will represent all Beneteau models across Sailboats (Oceanis, Oceanis yacht, First, First SE, Figaro), Motor Yachts (Gran Turismo, Swift Trawler) and Dayboats (Flyer, Antares).

Erwan Her, Beneteau’s Asia-Pacific Sales Director, said: “Beneteau is excited to broaden its successful partnership with Europa Yachts, our Philippines partner, into Indonesia. This expansion reflects the strong momentum we have built together and our commitment to serving customers across Southeast Asia.

“Indonesia is a key market with its amazing archipelago, and with our dealer’s proven expertise and understanding in such territory, we’re confident we will accelerate growth and deliver outstanding results for Indonesian customers.”

Europa Yachts will also represent the full range of Lagoon sailing and power catamarans in Indonesia. After debuting the entry-level Lagoon 38 and flagship Lagoon Eight 2 sailing catamarans last year, the brand’s 2026 debuts will include the Eighty 3 motor yacht and Lagoon 47 sailing model.

Cosmas Grelon, Asia-Pacific Sales Manager for Excess and Lagoon, said: “It is with immense pride and confidence that we are announcing the strategic expansion of our esteemed and long-standing partner, Europa Yachts, into the Indonesian market together with Lagoon.

“This decision represents a significant milestone in our continued regional growth strategy, bringing the unparalleled Lagoon experience with innovation, comfort and service to the dream destination that is the beautiful archipelago of Indonesia. We have every confidence that Europa Yachts will not only succeed but excel in introducing Indonesian enthusiasts and investors to the Lagoon lifestyle.”
