In Issue 90, Fraser explains that the brokerage market for pre-owned superyachts remains active, with over 2,100 vessels worth almost US$20 billion on the market.

Following the publication of recent data, Fraser CEO Anders Kurtén was optimistic ahead of the northern hemisphere’s summer season, as announced in Yacht Style Issue 90. In June 2026, 2,151 pre-owned yachts over 24m were listed for sale worldwide, representing a total market value of US$19.6 billion (€17.3 billion; value based on asking price), Fraser revealed.

“Brokerage activity for pre-owned yachts remains robust, with healthy year-on-year growth in both units and value. Motoryachts dominate supply, while sailing yachts remain a niche segment,” Kurtén stated.

“Most inventory clusters in the 30-40m range so provides buyers in this segment with choice and negotiating leverage, although pedigree, well-priced turnkey vessels continue to command immediate interest.

“Larger yachts above 60m attract a discerning and selective clientele, and it speaks to the health of overall demand that in these segments we continue to be inventory restricted more than demand restricted.

The data also reflects a stabilising new-build market, with sales volumes recovering slightly year-on-year while remaining well below the extraordinary peaks of the early 2020s.

“Emerging trends include demand for explorer-capable yachts and ‘ready now’ listings, indicating subtle shifts in buyer behaviour toward flexibility, practicality and immediate go-anywhere use,” Kurtén added.
