The SL110A was one of three Sanlorenzo world premieres at Cannes Yachting Festival 2025
Sanlorenzo CEO Tommaso Vincenzi explains: “The goal was to reimagine what a 33m yacht can be.” This seemingly simple yet ambitious brief for the new Sanlorenzo SL110A – the latest in the Italian builder’s series of asymmetric planing yachts – has created a vessel that focuses on light-filled interior spaces, an optimised layout, seamless indoor-outdoor flow and a deeper connection to the sea.
With exterior design by Zuccon International Project and interiors by Lissoni & Partners, the SL110A marks the culmination of a design journey that started with the SL102A and continued through the SL106A, a popular model replaced by the SL110A.
The stern design of the SL110A, for instance, gives an updated twist on the SL86A. A transparent gunwale aft on the main deck allows owners and guests to feel connected to the sea while lounging in the cockpit.
Key features include a starboard balcony and a foredeck accessible from the starboard side deck, owner’s suite and flybridge
“In terms of design continuity, the stern continues the design narrative with references to the SL86A, interpreted through a modern lens,” Vincenzi says.
Just below, on the transom, the pivoting aft platform represents a smart engineering solution, opening to reveal a garage that can accommodate both a tender and jet-ski, while a swim platform extends from under the hull to create a water-level beach club.
BENEFITS OF ASYMMETRY
Stepping on board the yacht from the stern, the asymmetric design that sets this series apart is immediately apparent.
To port, the superstructure extends the full width of the hull. To starboard, an open side deck leads forward to stairs heading up to the flybridge. The asymmetry unlocks greater interior space while still allowing for exterior passages that enable guests to get around the boat with ease.

“Asymmetry on the SL110A is not simply a formal gesture but a tool to reshape the spatial harmony onboard,” explained Bernardo Zuccon, owner and Chief Architect at Zuccon International Project, which also designed the yacht’s layout as well as exterior.
A specific technical innovation in the new yacht is the inclusion of staggered gangways on the starboard and port sides, which permits the gangway area to be absorbed into the interior layout, further increasing spaciousness and comfort.
In addition, large windows, retractable bulwarks and sliding gunwales dissolve boundaries, allowing in light and air while enhancing the sensation of space. In the main saloon, an additional exterior lounging area is created via a drop-down terrace to starboard.
The saloon’s full-beam port side includes the dining area and master-suite access; to starboard are sliding doors and a balcony
Taking full advantage of the asymmetrical design, the main saloon makes the most of the full width of the port side, where a dining table sits alongside an enormous floor-to-ceiling window. To starboard, comfortable sofas and chairs face each other to enable convivial conversation for guests, who can enjoy the balcony when it’s deployed.
“The asymmetric design allows us to sculpt wider interiors, open panoramic views and dissolve boundaries between inside and out,” Zuccon says. With the doors open to aft and starboard and the terrace unfurled, the main saloon becomes a splendid open-air space that feels like a stylish loft set over the sea.

Indeed, the spacious interior is designed to conjure up feelings of a residential home at sea, as Piero Lissoni, founder of Lissoni & Partners, explains: “She has a design language that is increasingly architectural and distinctly less naval.”
The interior is typified by dark joinery and stone-effect materials, while coffered ceilings add interest overhead.
OWNER’S SUITE POOL ACCESS
The master suite is forward on the main deck and accessed through a lobby on the port side. The entrance hall is flanked to port by an open bathroom with his and hers basins, bathroom aft and shower forward, while to starboard is a walk-in dressing room.
The full-beam master suite includes steps to the bow and an aft-facing bed
Forward, light spills into the full-beam bedroom area due to large side windows as well as a high, forward window stretching above the low-slung bed, which is positioned aft-facing on the forward bulkhead. It’s a lovely feature that brightens up the room while still providing privacy.
As a bonus, the owner’s suite has private access to the foredeck via a port door. Lissoni’s input didn’t end with the yacht’s interior – the SL110A benefits from a reimagined bow area featuring a sea-facing terrace replete with a swimming pool and integrated seating areas a few steps up.
The forward pool is accessed by starboard steps from the flybridge (on left) and port steps up from the master suite (on right)
Vincenzi is rightly proud of the master suite’s connectivity with the outdoors. “The widebody, full-beam owner’s suite is a standout feature, conceived as a true sanctuary,” he says. “It provides total privacy, panoramic sea views and direct access to the foredeck pool.
This suite’s private entry connects the cabin with the bow and upper decks, intelligently allowing the owner separation while maintaining connection with every corner of the yacht.”

This layout also connects the foredeck with the flybridge, allowing the owners to move between their own cabin and the upper deck without interruption.
The forward part of the flybridge is connected to the aft half by a port walkway that runs alongside the semi-raised wheelhouse.
The flybridge includes a covered helm station and dining area, plus a roomy aft deck for freestanding furniture
A gate allows access to the covered part of the flybridge, which includes an open helm and companion seating, and an alfresco dining area. The open aft end of the upper deck is clear, allowing for freestanding furniture such as sofas, chairs and sunloungers.
Meanwhile, the lower deck includes four comfortable guest cabins including two VIPs and two convertible twins. The crew quarters are also generous for a yacht of this size, with three cabins and a separate crew mess, while the main galley is to starboard on the main deck.
SL110A is designed for high performance and effortless handling. When equipped with two 2,637hp MTU engines, the yacht can reach about 27 knots. Achieving cruising efficiency was also a focus, with Sanlorenzo stating a range of around 1,250nm at an economical speed of 10 knots.

As a shipyard, Sanlorenzo is never shy of trying new approaches and unusual layouts. It seems with the SL110A that this gambit has paid off yet again, with several orders from around the globe already secured and more expected in the coming months.
From the asymmetrical layout to the architectural interiors and reimagined bow space, the SL110A seems to have achieved the builder’s goals of standing out among similar-sized yachts.
“Given her new proportions, dimensions and clean lines, I believe the SL110A is one of the most elegant yachts that Sanlorenzo has ever produced,” Lissoni says. “Perhaps one of the most elegant yachts currently in production.”
