One of Azimut’s four world premieres at Europe’s biggest in-water boat show, the Fly 70 is another Mancini and Fantolino design collaboration.
Azimut has debuted the 70 Fly at the 49th Cannes Yachting Festival, with the new flybridge model joining the flagship Grande 44M, Magellano 27M and Seadeck 9 as the Italian shipyard’s world premieres in the Vieux Port.
The Fly 70 features exterior design by Alberto Mancini, a regular Azimut collaborator and the designer behind the newest models in the Grande, Seadeck and S sportbridge series. Built with an extensive application of carbon fibre, and powered by twin Volvo IPS1350 engines, the yacht has a top speed of 31 knots.

The yacht’s signature features include the covered aft cockpit, which houses a starboard dining table, and is available in Terrace and Beach styles, both designed to offer guests open views over the sea.
The Terrace Cockpit version, on display in Cannes, offers an infinity view of the sea for dining through a transparent aft parapet and a stern-facing layout. It also features a large floor storage compartment able to accommodate accessories and water toys.
The Beach Cockpit option eliminates all barriers with a synchronous mechanism that opens the transom and lowers the bench, creating a sunpad flush with the cockpit floor – a solution introduced on the Fly 62.
Outdoor highlights include the flybridge, which is organised into three areas: a forward sundeck adjacent to the helm station, a central C-shaped dinette with a serviced wet bar, and a clean aft terrace that can be furnished with freestanding furniture. Shade is provided by a fibreglass hardtop with vertical uprights.
The Fly 70 is also the series’ fourth model to include interiors by Fabio Fantolino, who previously collaborated with Mancini on the Fly 62, Fly 72, and Fly 82 models.
The interior features brown suede carpeting by cc-Tapis and starts aft with a saloon featuring facing sofas, and a Green River marble coffee table. Two steps lead up to the dining area, which includes Taj Mahal marble for the dining table, and chairs designed by Patricia Urquiola for Andreu World. A sculptural sunshade with wood and brushed bronze slats partially screens the galley.
On the lower deck, there’s accommodation for up to eight guests in four cabins including the full-beam master suite midships, which is designed around an interplay of diagonal lines and embellished with Bronze Amani marble.
The Fly 70 introduces a particulate filter that, through the synergistic action of a silencer, ceramic blocks and a nitrogen oxide catalyst, cuts particulate emissions by 95 per cent and halves sound pressure levels, reducing noise by more than 5 dBA.
Offering cleaner and quieter background noise, this is billed as the equivalent of going from a busy street to a quiet residential neighbourhood.
