GX Superyachts has launched the first GX42, which then embarked on sea trials ahead of its world premiere at the Monaco Yacht Show from September 23-26. Announced at the 2024 edition of the Monaco show, GX Superyachts is led by Vladimir Zinchenko, owner of Greenline Yachts, the Slovenian builder of hybrid motoryachts from 39-58ft.

However, GX Superyachts, which built the GX42 with SES Yachts in Turkey, takes eco-friendly technology to a different scale. The 42m flybridge model introduces proven technologies into the superyacht world through an advanced parallel diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system, extensive integrated solar arrays and a large-capacity lithium battery bank.

With the ability to operate in zero-emissions mode for up to 48 hours at anchor and reduce onboard electricity consumption by up to 45 per cent, GX42 reduces reliance on generators, and lowers operational emissions and fuel consumption.

Seeing the first GX42 enter the water proves that this vision has become reality. We are now looking forward to presenting her to the world at the Monaco Yacht Show, where the journey first began.”
