Launched in February, Netto II recently departed the Netherlands and headed for the Mediterranean in her maiden voyage.
The Amels 80 Netto II has departed Damen Yachting’s Vlissingen and embarked on her maiden voyage, to the Mediterranean. Following Pangea, Netto II is the second Amels 80, a Limited Editions model that features an exterior design by Espen Øino and interiors by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design.
Netto II has a metallic dolphin-blue hull, platinum bootstripe and white superstructure. Inside, the owner’s special requests include a speakeasy-style bar inspired by a 1960s casino setting, adding a personal character to the yacht’s interior.
Kees de Keizer, the owner’s representative, highlighted the collaborative nature of the project: “The collaboration with Damen Yachting has been a pleasure. Throughout the build, we were able to rely on the shipyard’s expertise, flexibility and commitment to quality. The opportunities for customisation allowed us to realise the yacht the owner had envisioned.”
The 80m, 2,197GT superyacht accommodates up to 14 guests, with a private 517sqm owner’s deck complemented by six guest cabins on the main deck. The main-deck lounge features floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows and opens to the exterior aft deck, while the spacious sundeck includes an oversized jacuzzi.
Closer to the water, the beach club opens to the sea on three sides and incorporates a wellness area with a gym, hammam and sauna. Above, a 6.5m glass-bottomed pool on the main deck aft brings natural light into the beach club below. Netto II also features a foredeck touch-and-go helicopter landing area, and a forward garage for watercraft and toys.
Netto II features naval architecture by Damen Yachting, with her efficient hull design and modern propulsion technology supporting quiet, comfortable operation across extended voyages.
Captain Fraser Gow said: “It has been an immense privilege to serve as build captain for Netto II and to be back at the Amels yard, watching the owner’s dream take shape. She is a truly remarkable yacht, and I feel deeply honoured to be at the helm of such an extraordinary Amels 80 build.
“Leaving the Amels family behind is bittersweet, but now it is time for Netto II to do what she was built for. I cannot wait to take her out onto the open ocean and begin the adventures that lie ahead.”
