Senior Advisor Carmen Lau represented the seller of the Hong Kong-based superyacht, which was converted from a commercial workboat in 2007.
Camper & Nicholsons announced the successful sale of the 67m, 1,303GT Global, with Senior Advisor Carmen Lau representing the seller and Ralph de Joode of RYacht representing the buyer of the former commercial workboat.
“We extend our warmest congratulations to the new owners and wish them many memorable moments on board,” stated Camper & Nicholsons, which is owned by China’s Sea Expandary Group.
Lau is currently in Hong Kong preparing for the Lantau Yacht Club Boat Show (November 6-8), where Camper & Nicholsons is exhibiting the 37m all-aluminium Zeepaard (2003), built by the JFA shipyard in France, and the 24m Codecasa Vero.
Lau was representing Global when it was exhibited at the show’s 2025 edition, having helped purchase the six-cabin superyacht on the behalf of the owner several years earlier.
“It was an honour to act as buying broker when the owner acquired the yacht prior to Covid, and it has been a pleasure to support him once more as he entrusted us with her sale. I appreciate his continued trust and the tremendous support from his team and crew,” Lau said. “I’d also like to thank Antony Cowie of Cowie & Co for his professional counsel as the seller’s lawyer.”
Global began her life in 1982 as a commercial workboat before Shadow Marine transformed the 220-footer in 2007 into one of the world’s first true support vessels.
Special features include a certified helipad, climate-controlled hangar and heavy-duty deck equipment including a 35-tonne telescopic crane. Global was sold with two U-Boat Worx submersibles: a Cruise Sub 7 and a Super Yacht Sub 3.
The yacht’s common areas include a lounge, dining area, cinema/briefing room and gym. The upper deck includes accommodation for 12 guests in six guest cabins, each with a private balcony, while there’s also accommodation for 13 crew.
