The 15th edition of the Macau Yacht Show featured over 60 yachts, ‘business matchmaking’ and a forum focused on advancing cross-border yachting policies.
The 15th Macau Yacht Show, which concluded on Sunday, attracted more than 10,000 visitors over three days according to organisers of the event, which is also known as the China (Macau) International Yacht Import & Export Fair.
Organisers also stated that the show in Coloane featured 64 yachts and 20 renowned international brands from over 10 countries “across a dynamic display of luxury craft, marine technology, and lifestyle experiences”.
Yachts on show included an Absolute 52 Fly displayed by Absolute Marine, a Ferretti Yachts 550, an Aquila 42 Yacht flybridge powercat by Marine Italia Asia, and a Leopard 43 Powercat and Leopard 42 sailing cat from Omnia Marine.
Focusing on regional cooperation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area (GBA), the show hosted the GBA Yacht Connectivity Salon (Macau), a high-level forum uniting government officials, marina operators and industry experts.
The dialogue centred on advancing cross-border yachting policies, namely the ‘Northbound Sailing for Hong Kong & Macau Yachts’ and ‘Southbound Sailing for Guangdong Yachts’ initiatives.
Participants shared insights on eight key aspects including customs facilitation, navigation safety and maintenance services, providing a professional foundation for an integrated regional yacht economy.
Business matchmaking sessions further enhanced the show’s international impact, with the invitation of 50 professional buyers from 18 countries including Italy, Australia, India, Mexico and Russia.
Several deals were reached, such as Italian yacht acquisitions and India’s tourism vessel procurement programme, generating intent contracts exceeding RMB 50 million, “reinforcing Macau’s position as a key node in the global yacht trade network”, organisers stated.
In line with Macau’s ‘1+4’ Economic Diversification Strategy, the exhibition partnered with MGM to launch innovative marine tourism experiences, while the ‘Blue Ocean Cup’ Fishing Tournament, surf shows, and fashion parades were among attractions.
“By integrating policy dialogue, international trade collaboration and cultural promotion, this year’s show successfully positioned Macau as a dynamic platform for yacht industry convergence and regional cooperation,” organisers stated.
“The 15th edition leaves behind not just successful transactions but also a stronger bridge between the Greater Bay Area’s marine economy and the global yachting world.”
