Gulf Craft Group has launched the new Nomad 70, which fits in the brand’s portfolio between the 65 and 75. The exploration-focused series of oceangoing motoryachts is led by the flagship Nomad 101 tri-deck designed by Dutch studio Phathom.

Building on the refreshed design language introduced with the Nomad 101, the first Nomad 70 – also designed by Phathom – recently emerged from its construction shed and entered the water at Gulf Craft Group’s shipyard in Umm Al Quwain.

“Designed to be driven, the Nomad 70 is an owner’s yacht, big enough to travel long distances, but small enough to be managed by a group of friends on a remote fishing or wilderness golfing trip,” Gulf Craft Group stated.

Described by the Emirati shipyard as a “pocket adventure yacht”, the 70ft enclosed-flybridge motoryacht boasts an extended cruising range of 2,000nm under the power of two 1,200hp MAN V8 engines and with a fuel capacity of 6,814 litres.

The shipyard added that the vessel is capable of “cruising from Sydney Harbour to north of the Great Barrier Reef, or covering much of the Indonesia archipelago, or travelling from Oman to Jeddah […] something not many yachts of this size can deliver”.

“Every area has been designed around a modern adventurer lifestyle, balancing long-range practicality with the comfort of a home away from home,” Gulf Craft stated.

Pictures show a gently flared spoon bow, and a two-tone white-and-navy hull finished with a golden boot stripe.

Featuring an overall length of 70ft 5in and a beam of 19ft 8in, the yacht is topped by a flybridge with an open aft deck and an enclosed skylounge with the helm station. This allows the main deck to include an aft lounge, midships galley and dining, and a forward, slightly raised full-beam master suite forward with 270-degree panoramic views.

Interiors are finished in a “soft minimalism style” and include a remarkable four en-suite guest cabins on the lower deck. The aft end is dedicated to the large crew quarters, which includes two cabins, a head and a professional-grade, L-shaped galley to enable superyacht-style service while on board.
