Fountaine Pajot has revealed the FP48, which is among the brand’s three world premieres scheduled for the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival in September.
Fountaine Pajot has released photos and design details of its FP48 ahead of the model’s world premiere at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival from September 8-13, when the shipyard will also debut the FP55 and FPY70S.
Shown privately at this year’s Fountaine Pajot Open Days in La Rochelle, the FP48 will follow its debut in Cannes with an extended boat show tour, exhibiting at the Grand Pavois La Rochelle, Genoa International Boat Show, Barcelona International Boat Show and the Annapolis Sailboat Show.
The successor to the Tanna 47, the new 48ft sailing catamaran combines a total sail area of 134sqm with Fountaine Pajot’s optimised ODSea+ propulsion system for cleaner power. Solar panels that can generate up to 2,300W of renewable energy have also been integrated into the roof of the FP48, further emphasising the brand’s commitment to sustainable cruising.
Described by the yard as a model “for owners seeking freedom, comfort and long-range cruising”, the FP48 is defined by expansive living areas with a seamless flow throughout the vessel. Outdoor lounging areas are offered in the foredeck and the lounge deck on the coachroof, while the integrated helm station keeps the skipper at the heart of the action even while underway.
A key feature is the 3m sliding aft glass door, which can be opened to create one large living space connecting the cockpit and saloon.
Large windows and colour palettes inspired by natural shades create an airy and modern feeling on board, with Fountaine Pajot proudly identifying that the Millesime 2027 design scheme features fabrics made entirely from recycled materials.
Below deck, the FP48 is offered with either four or five cabins in three different layout configurations. The Full Maestro version offers a full-beam owner’s suite and two double en-suite cabins, while the Classic Maestro features two double en-suite cabins, a master suite and a multi-purpose room that could potentially be used as a walk-in wardrobe for the owner. The Quintet version offers five en-suite cabins; four double cabins and one bunk cabin.
