Lagoon Eighty 3

Lagoon’s Eighty 3, which builds upon the platform of the Seventy 8, will also be among major global debuts after the French brand’s flagship powercat was unveiled privately in March at the Lagoon Exclusive Days in Bordeaux. Like the Eighty 2 sail catamaran, the Eighty 3 features naval architecture by VPLP Design, exterior design by Patrick le Quément and interiors by Italy’s Nauta Design.

Also within Groupe Beneteau, Prestige will stage world premieres of both the M8 Evo and M6. Both are effectively upgrades of existing models, with the M8 Evo an evolution of the 65ft flagship M8. The M6 is the new version of the M48, which was the brand’s first powercat and has secured over 80 sales around the world to help establish the brand in the multihull sector.

Prestige M8 Evo

In the 60ft range, Bering – which builds in Turkey and Bulgaria – is debuting its first powercat, the aluminium BC60, which has a 3,000nm-plus range due to a whopping fuel capacity of over 13,500 litres. The 62-footer has a 28ft-plus beam, a draft of just over 4ft and an interior volume of 121GT with an enclosed flybridge, as on hull one, although the model is also offered with an open top deck.

Meanwhile, Pioneer Yachts is debuting its solar-electric PY60, with the first hull, Pioneer One, operated by the Mike Frank, founder of the German shipyard.

Pioneer Yachts PY60

Although engineered and built in Germany and utilising 48V electrical architecture, the powercat is designed by Italian studios Cossutti-Ganz Yacht Design (exteriors), renowned for its work on Bavaria’s sailboats, and Micheletti+Partners (interiors), a collaborator on recent Swan Maxis including the Swan 128, Swan 108 and Swan 88.

Like Pioneer, Veya is also showcasing its first boat at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival, showcasing the Veya 53. Veya is a French collaboration between Fountaine Pajot, one of the world’s leading catamaran builders, and the Couach shipyard in the coastal town of Gujan-Mestras, where the first hulls of the Veya 53 are being built.

Veya 53

Drawn by the Berret Racoupeau Yacht Design studio in La Rochelle, the Veya 53 has a 26ft-plus beam, a draft of just 3ft 7in and a choice of two cockpit layouts. The twin-hulled yacht is available with two 440hp or 550hp Yanmar engines, with a 2,000-litre fuel capacity as standard plus an extra 800 litres as an option.

In the same size sector, the Yot 53 flybridge powercat makes its world premiere as the flagship of the Catana Group powercat brand, following the Yot 41 and Yot 36 cruiser models that will also be on display in Cannes. Poland’s Dracan Marine is debuting its 42 Touring, an enclosed version of the Dracan 42 that debuted at Cannes in 2024.

Aquila 35 Sport

Aquila’s five-model line-up in the Power Cat Village – complemented by two sailing catamarans in Port Canto – includes the world premiere of the 35 Sport, as the brand continues to refresh its Sport series of open outboard cruisers.

Following the 45 Sport that debuted at this year’s Palm Beach International Boat Show and makes its Europe debut at Cannes, the 35 Sport features the same bold styling but in a more compact package. Featuring a double-stepped hull with a 14ft 9in beam, the 35 Sport is powered by two 300hp Mercury Verado V8 engines or 400hp Mercury Verado V10s.

Oceanwalker S60

Chinese shipyards Oceanwalker and GranOcean will be staging the Europe debuts of their leading models. Oceanwalker has chosen the Cannes show for the Europe debut of its S60, a model that already has multiple units in markets around the world including Asia, the Middle East and the Americas. Oceanwalker powercats are built at the Fujian Skywalker shipyard in China’s southeastern Fujian province.

GranOcean is hosting the Europe debut of its W-72, a model that has helped establish the brand in the US and will be followed by larger models including the X-32.
