A new Excess 11 on its way to Southeast Asia took centre stage at the event in Aquahub’s Kwun Tong facility.

An Excess launch party in Hong Kong was organised by Excess Asia-Pacific and Aquahub, just months after the appointment of the dealer, one of the brand’s 10 representatives in Asia-Pacific. Taking advantage of a stopover of a new Excess 11 during its delivery voyage to the Philippines, the event was held at Aquahub’s Kwun Tong facility.

Benefiting from beautiful weather, the launch party began in the afternoon and featured about 30 guests including media, influencers, sailing and catamaran enthusiasts, and business partners.

The Aquahub and Excess Asia-Pacific teams welcomed guests on board the Excess 11 and guided them through the brand’s entry model. Guests sipped refreshing Sunset Spritz cocktails while exchanging their impressions of the yacht and discussing their passion for sailing.

Cosmas Grelon, Asia Pacific Sales Manager for Excess, said: “I’m delighted to have officially launched the new partnership between Excess Catamarans and Aquahub. The Excess 11 was exceptionally well received by the local sailing community, with many guests attracted by the sleek design and impressive performance capabilities.

“Aquahub is uniquely positioned in Hong Kong as a dealership able to provide catamaran owners with berthing solutions, maintenance and haul-out services, a significant advantage for Excess owners. I’m confident this partnership between Excess Catamarans and Aquahub will help bring more Excess catamarans to Hong Kong and further strengthen the local ‘Excess Tribe’ for years to come.”

A world premiere at Boot Dusseldorf in January 2020, the Excess 11 has proved popular around the globe, with over 200 units delivered. In Asia-Pacific, the 37-footer is present in Australia, mainland China, Japan, French Polynesia, New Zealand, Thailand and the Philippines.

The Excess 11 has been offered in the Hybrid edition since 2025, while the 11 and 14 models are now available in the Riders’ Edition, a special version designed as a ‘base camp’ for riders and outdoor adventure enthusiasts.

Also this year, the company announced the development of an Excess 11 incorporating recyclable resin and recycled glass fibres, increasing the yacht’s use of eco-friendly materials.
