Rossinavi showcases 53m Heed

SHARE

Designed by Alberto Mancini and Achille Salvagni, the all-aluminium Heed was among world premieres at the 2026 Monaco Yacht Show.

Rossinavi staged the global debut of the 53m Heed at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show, where the full-custom, full-aluminium superyacht was among the stars of the four-day spectacle. The yacht was launched earlier this year at Rossinavi’s Pisa shipyard.

The sub-500GT yacht features exterior design by Alberto Mancini Yacht Design and interiors by Achille Salvagni Architetti, in collaboration with the shipyard and the yacht’s owner. The process was supported by the owner’s representative, Matty Zadnikar of SeaNet SuperYachts, who coordinated the designers and construction process.

Mancini’s clean exterior lines include a near-vertical bow balanced by slightly angled windscreens for both the pilothouse on the bridge deck, and the master suite forward on the upper or owner’s deck, where a counter-current swimming pool dominates the bow. The yacht is topped by a small, secluded observation deck, while the lower deck includes a beach club with pool and fold-down sides.

Heed’s metallic-grey hull finish enhances Mancini’s sculpted geometry by emphasising the interaction between light and shadow across its surfaces, and allowing the yacht’s appearance to shift throughout the day.

“Working within the 499GT threshold allowed us to rethink proportion and space with greater freedom,” explained Alberto Mancini, who founded Alberto Mancini Yacht Design in 2009.

“Placing the owner’s suite forward on the upper deck creates a quieter, more intimate connection with the sea, while the metallic grey hull reveals the beauty of the yacht’s clean, sculpted surfaces through a delicate play of light and shadow throughout the day.”

On the main deck, indoor areas include a fully glazed main saloon, and a separate dining area that opens onto a fold-down starboard balcony. Serene softness is the thread running through Salvagni’s interior design, where curves and organic shapes dominate.

Sofas unfold like waves, armchairs recall pebbles and shells, while sculptural details appear to grow from walls and ceilings. Doors, wardrobes and handles also avoid conventional profiles, swelling and curving as though shaped by water, pressure or wind.

Materials include brushed, bleached wengé floors, bleached teak walls, butter-coloured parchment and dark eucalyptus. Metallic accents in an amaranth tone between copper, rose and deep red introduce flashes of intensity inspired by a Mediterranean sunset.

Achille Salvagni, who founded of Achille Salvagni Atelier in 2013, stated: “I wanted the interior of this yacht to feel as though it had not been designed but rather shaped by the forces that surround it – by water, wind, light and time.

“From the beginning, I was interested in creating a world suspended somewhere between the sea and the sky: an interior without rigidity, where architecture seems to lose its conventional boundaries and become something softer, more instinctive, almost alive.”

Heed has two 1,900bhp Cat C32 diesel engines, a top speed of 18.5 knots, a cruising speed of 14 knots and a range of 4,000nm at 10 knots. An onboard battery system enables the yacht to remain at anchor with the generators switched off, reducing noise and vibrations and allowing zero local emissions in hotel mode.

Federico Rossi, Rossinavi’s COO (click for Leader interview), said: “Heed has been an extremely stimulating project, one that will truly leave its mark on the market. With generous open spaces, a panoramic owner’s cabin and a large pool, it is a yacht designed to be lived on, where functionality leads without compromising on style.”
