The first unit of the new Itama 70, which features exterior styling by Vallicelli Design and interiors by IdeaeItalia, has been launched in Ravenna
Sporting a sleek dark hull accented with a silver cove stripe, the first unit of the new Itama 70 series was launched at a ceremony in Ferretti Group’s new Ravenna production site attended by the owner and his family.
The 21.2m cruiser has a beam of 5.3m and was designed in a collaboration between Ferretti Group, Rome studio Vallicelli Design for exterior styling and La Spezia-based IdeaeItalia for interior design.
According to the shipyard, the “Itama 70 is a new expression of freedom at sea, retaining the distinctive features that have given the brand its iconic status, at the same time as introducing style and design solutions focused on creating an even more engaging cruising experience”.
The profile of the Itama 70 is defined by side windows running the length of the hull, contributing to the yacht’s sleek silhouette and establishing a strong visual connection with the water. Among the most distinctive exterior features is the signature bow sunpad, a spacious area seamlessly integrated into the deck.
Aft, the stern hosts the main socialising area, equipped with a teak-topped dining table that can convert into a chaise longue, while shade is offered by an electric bimini top that includes lighting for entertaining after dark. Further aft, a moveable swim platform provides direct access to the water and a launch pad for a 3.25m tender.
Below deck, the Itama 70 features three en-suite cabins plus a corner galley and compact dinette for indoor dining.
A variety of propulsion packages are offered. The owner of the first unit chose two 1,550hp MAN V12 engines, which can power the boat to a top speed of 40 knots and a cruising speed of 35 knots. The Itama 70 is also equipped with a Seakeeper NG14 gyroscopic stabiliser for increased comfort at sea.
