Sanlorenzo Japan has been established following a collaboration between Sanlorenzo Asia–Pacific and Shonan Sunny Side Marina, an established marina operator and yacht brokerage based in Kanagawa Prefecture, south of Tokyo. The new company will provide direct brand representation, bespoke yacht consultancy, technical expertise and lifecycle service support for the Italian shipyard.
Sanlorenzo Japan was officially presented at this year’s Japan International Boat Show, where it staged the country debut of the Sanlorenzo SX88 at Yokohama Bayside Marina, host of the event’s on-water display.
Hiroaki Hashiba, Chairman of Shonan Sunny Side Marina, commented: “Japanese clients place great value on craftsmanship, technical precision and long-term service reliability – qualities that define Sanlorenzo yachts. We are proud to represent such an iconic yacht builder and look forward to supporting the next generation of yacht owners in Japan.”
Founded in 1980, the company operates three marinas including its flagship Shonan Sunny Side Marina, which is located south of Yokohama, on the west side of the Miura Peninsula that separates Tokyo Bay and Sagami Bay. It also operates the nearby Hayama Port to the north and Sunny Side Marina Uraga, on the peninsula’s east side, managing a total of over 400 berths.

Daniele Lucà, CEO of Sanlorenzo Asia-Pacific, stated: “Japan is a strategic market with strong long-term potential. Its maritime culture, sophisticated clientele and evolving luxury boating sector align closely with Sanlorenzo’s made-to-measure philosophy. Partnering with Shonan Sunny Side Marina allows us to combine Sanlorenzo’s global brand strength with trusted local expertise.”
Sanlorenzo Asia-Pacific’s activity in Japan this year includes participation in the third Asia-Pacific Superyacht Summit, which will be held in Kobe from May 7-8.
