Sunreef Yachts has launched the first Sunreef 100 Eco at its shipyard in Gdańsk, the northern Polish city where Francis Lapp founded the catamaran company in 2002. The sailing catamaran now enters the final outfitting phase ahead of sea trials and its world premiere at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show (September 23-26).

Lapp, President of Sunreef Yachts, said: “With the Sunreef 100 Eco, we are proving that the future of superyachting can be both luxurious and responsible. Combining electric propulsion, solar power and the efficiency of sailing, this yacht sets a new benchmark for clean cruising.”

Solar panels seamlessly integrated into the hulls, superstructure and bimini continuously generate clean energy while preserving the yacht’s sleek profile.

Hull one was commissioned by a returning Sunreef superyacht owner, with the shipyard stating that “the project reflects a growing interest in innovative technologies that enhance the cruising experience without compromising luxury, comfort or performance”.

Fabio Giangrasso, COO of Next Yacht Group, said: “The launches of the latest AB 130 and Maiora 36 Exuma yachts represent a significant achievement for our shipyard. We met our objectives on schedule, maintaining product quality, performance and an obsessive attention to detail on board as our top priorities.

The Maiora 36 Exuma, which has a small sundeck above the flybridge hardtop, had its world premiere at the 2025 Monaco Yacht Show and is a design collaboration between the shipyard, Quartostile and ACube Design Studio.

The 36.9m yacht with a 7.9m beam combines performance with efficiency due to a combination of three 2,000hp MAN V12 engines, two MJP steerable waterjets and a central MJP booster, enabling a top speed of 33 knots. The yacht is also equipped with gyroscopic stabilisers, operational both at anchor and underway.

The propulsion set-up also contributes to a shallow draft of just 1.45m, enabling the 36 Exuma to visit bays, harbours and shallow waters that many yachts in this category can’t access. The yacht has accommodation for 12 guests in five cabins, as well as five crew in three cabins.

The sleek AB 130, which has an overall length of 39.65m, a 7.9m beam and a 1.3m draft, is the flagship of AB Yachts, which focuses on high-performance, sport yachts. Three 2,600hp MTU engines combine with two MJP steerable waterjets and a central MJP booster to provide a top speed of 41 knots, while a gyroscopic stabiliser operates at both zero speed and while underway.

Outdoor areas include a sport-style flybridge with an open-air cinema, a foredeck lounge and a beach area with retractable side wings that help create a fully equipped platform on the water for relaxation, socialising and watersports. Launched in February, Netto II recently departed the Netherlands and headed for the Mediterranean in her maiden voyage.

The Amels 80 Netto II has departed Damen Yachting’s Vlissingen and embarked on her maiden voyage, to the Mediterranean. Following Pangea, Netto II is the second Amels 80, a Limited Editions model that features an exterior design by Espen Øino and interiors by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design.

Netto II has a metallic dolphin-blue hull, platinum bootstripe and white superstructure. Inside, the owner’s special requests include a speakeasy-style bar inspired by a 1960s casino setting, adding a personal character to the yacht’s interior.

Kees de Keizer, the owner’s representative, highlighted the collaborative nature of the project: “The collaboration with Damen Yachting has been a pleasure. Throughout the build, we were able to rely on the shipyard’s expertise, flexibility and commitment to quality. The opportunities for customisation allowed us to realise the yacht the owner had envisioned.”

The 80m, 2,197GT superyacht accommodates up to 14 guests, with a private 517sqm owner’s deck complemented by six guest cabins on the main deck. The main-deck lounge features floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows and opens to the exterior aft deck, while the spacious sundeck includes an oversized jacuzzi.

Closer to the water, the beach club opens to the sea on three sides and incorporates a wellness area with a gym, hammam and sauna. Above, a 6.5m glass-bottomed pool on the main deck aft brings natural light into the beach club below. Netto II also features a foredeck touch-and-go helicopter landing area, and a forward garage for watercraft and toys.

Netto II features naval architecture by Damen Yachting, with her efficient hull design and modern propulsion technology supporting quiet, comfortable operation across extended voyages.

Captain Fraser Gow said: “It has been an immense privilege to serve as build captain for Netto II and to be back at the Amels yard, watching the owner’s dream take shape. She is a truly remarkable yacht, and I feel deeply honoured to be at the helm of such an extraordinary Amels 80 build.

“Leaving the Amels family behind is bittersweet, but now it is time for Netto II to do what she was built for. I cannot wait to take her out onto the open ocean and begin the adventures that lie ahead.”

Custom Line launched the first Navetta 35 at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona, with the ceremony attended by the owner’s representative, the captain, the surveyor, the shipyard’s senior management and the employees of both Custom Line and outside contractors.

Filippo Salvetti, responsible for the exterior styling of the Navetta 35, and Chiara Massarani of ACPV Architects, which handled the interiors, were also present at the ceremony. Salvetti and ACPV Architects, founded by Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel, previously collaborated on Custom Line’s Navetta 30 (2020) and Navetta 38 (2024).

For the Navetta 35, the two studios again collaborated with Ferretti Group’s Strategic Product Committee and Engineering Department, while Custom Line Atelier curated the interior styling to reflect the owner’s tastes. The tri-deck motoryacht has an overall length of 34.5m and a beam of 7.7m, and over 300sqm of indoor and outdoor space.

Highlights include a 58sqm sundeck with a ‘sunset solarium at the bow and an optional panoramic spa pool at the stern, a 23sqm, fully glazed skylounge on the upper deck, and a 44sqm cockpit that benefits from the absence of an external staircase on the aft main deck.

The yacht can accommodate up to 10 guests in a master suite on the main deck and four guest cabins on the lower deck, while there are also berths for six crew.

The interior design language features soft volumes, organic geometries and custom-made freestanding furniture designed by Antonio Citterio. Owners can choose from three different colour schemes. For hull one, ACPV Architects developed the ‘Light Mood’, featuring ivory, beige and caramel colourways, based on the owner’s wishes.

A world premiere at the 2026 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, the S50 is a fresh addition to the Australian shipyard’s S-Series of sedan motoryachts.

Maritimo has described its new S50 sedan motoryacht as “ideal for Southeast Asia”, with the Australian shipyard now represented in the region by Primus Marine.

Maritimo staged the world premiere of the S50 at this year’s Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, where the builder stated that a record 1,400 people booked viewings at their display, which included six Maritimo yachts and two by recently acquired Caribbean.

Maritimo, S50, Primus Marine, Southeast Asia, Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, Caribbean, S-Series, M-Series, S55, S60, S75, M50, M55, M60, M75, M600, S600, Offshore

Released a year after the M50 flybridge model, the two-stateroom S50 incorporates new design elements inspired by the success of the M-Series model as well as the S55. The S50 features a sleek, automotive-inspired silhouette, a slender hardtop and a redefined interior flow that increases natural light and living space.

The S50’s running platform builds on the M50’s proven engineering while shedding unnecessary weight through refined laminates and infusion processes. A single-level cockpit and saloon layout enhances connectivity, and helps create a sense of openness and comfort rarely found in a 50ft yacht.

The cockpit is larger due to a new European-style boot that hinges from just in front of the curved seat and reveals the entire lazarette, ideal for housing water toys. In the galley, which has 2.4m of headroom, the pantry and bureau can hold drawer fridges, wine storage or an ice maker.

An angled, two-seater settee between the galley and main lounge – which has a 2m ceiling height – can easily convert into an extra double bed. To port, a C-shaped dinette is the main interior social space, while there’s abundant natural light through windows with slim frames, enhancing the sense of space and offering clear views from the helm, saloon and galley.

Below deck, there’s ample headroom in both the full-beam owner’s suite midships and the forward VIP cabin, where the double bed is arranged at an angle to enable easy access from both sides. As well as benefiting from big windows, the cabins enjoy light and fresh air through opening portholes and deck hatches.

“The S50’s blend of innovation and craftsmanship positions it as the perfect contender for the Southeast Asian market,” Maritimo stated. “With its new hardtop design, increased cockpit and storage space, and a master suite that rivals much larger yachts, it delivers on Maritimo’s commitment to luxury cruising without compromising on performance, liveability and comfort.”

The S50 is the entry model for an S-Series that also features the S55, S60 and S75 sedan models, while the M-Series comprises the M50, M55, M60 and M75 flybridge motoryachts. The Offshore Series comprises the M600 and S600, offering fishing-focused versions of the M60 and S60 respectively.

Maritimo enjoys strong response at Sanctuary Cove

The Australian shipyard staged the world premiere of its S50 at the 2026 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.

Maritimo enjoyed an “overwhelming response” at this year’s Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS), with exceptional visitor interest across the brand’s A$38 million display including the global debut of its new S50 sedan.

The six-vessel Maritimo display included the S55 Black Edition and four M-Series Flybridge models: the M50, M55 Black Edition, M60 Black Edition and flagship M75. The Australian shipyard also showcased two new vessels from the recently acquired Caribbean brand, the 40F and 27F Flybridge cruisers, which both enjoyed significant interest.

Maritimo reported record viewings and strong appointment bookings across its range, as the show attracted more than 41,000 visitors.

Derrick Nowak, Maritimo’s Global Business Development Manager, said: “We are heartened by the overwhelming response at SCIBS, which reinforces the brand’s connection with existing owners and new prospects, including international visitors from Asia, Australia, New Zealand and the USA.

“SCIBS continues to be a strategic platform for Maritimo because of its accessibility to Southeast Asian markets and its value as a showcase for our latest innovations.”

The S50, the latest addition to Maritimo’s S-Series, is described as particularly suited to the tropical conditions of Southeast Asia, where Primus Marine is Maritimo’s authorised dealer, with a presence in Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia.

Designed for owners seeking a balance of open-water capability, luxury and contemporary styling, the S50 features a 15.36m design length, 5.22m beam, 3,500-litre fuel capacity and twin 800mhp Volvo D13 engines as standard.

Maritimo’s strong response at SCIBS highlighted continued interest from Southeast Asian buyers, reinforcing the relevance of the shipyard’s long-range cruising philosophy and owner-focused design for regional boating lifestyles.

Against the backdrop of growing interest across Southeast Asia, particularly in markets such as Thailand, the show has helped build momentum for Maritimo’s expansion in Asia by highlighting the brand’s core strengths in long-range capability, protection and reliability.

CRN has splashed the 70m Project Thunderball at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona in a private launch ceremony attended by the yacht’s owners and their family. The clients purchased the yacht in 2022 and have been represented throughout the build of the steel-and-aluminium project by Y.Co.

Featuring an overall length of 70m and an 11m beam, the 1,100GT superyacht features exterior design, preliminary naval architecture and general arrangement by Vripack. The Dutch studio drew a profile defined by sleek, sailboat-inspired lines, with a sharply raked bow and gently curved bilges.

Images of the custom superyacht show the hull painted in a striking combination of dark blue and cherry red, punctuated by two silvered lines running the length of the yacht.

Italy’s Nauta Design was responsible for the interiors and the design of the outdoor living areas,

with a particular focus on comfort and spatial flow. CRN has described the interior decor as “timeless”, with features blending “a deep connection to maritime culture” and a “modern, refined aesthetic”.

The guest areas are spread over four decks, which includes accommodation for up to 12 guests in six cabins and 15 crew in nine cabins.

CRN revealed that Project Thunderball is equipped with a specialised energy storage system to increase efficiency and reduce fuel usage while at anchor, with the added benefit of fully silent operation.

Project Thunderball will undergo sea trials and final outfitting before being delivered to her new owners later this summer.

Nautor Swan, represented in the region by Sanlorenzo Asia-Pacific, has splashed the first hull of the Swan 80 in a traditional Finnish ceremony at its production facility in Jakobstad on Finland’s west coast.

Hull one, Elvi, will be used for the model’s world premiere at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival (September 8-13) before it heads to Sardinia for a special edition of the Rolex Swan Cup (September 14-19) as the Sanlorenzo-owned shipyard continues to celebrate its 60th anniversary.

The opening model of a Swan Maxi range that includes the 88, 98, 108 and 128, the Swan 80 is designed with a sub-24m hull and load line length, so has the operational flexibility of a pleasure vessel.

Featuring an overall length of 25.55m (83ft 10in), a low-profile coachroof and a long, clean deck, the Swan 80 features naval architecture by Germán Frers, exterior styling by Lucio Micheletti and interior design by Misa Poggi.

Suitable for ocean crossings or fast-reaching in Mediterranean conditions, the hull is constructed of foam-cored GFRP (glass fibre reinforced epoxy) with carbon-fibre reinforcements. The design includes twin rudders (with sacrificial tips), a refined bow entry and powerful aft sections, while keel options include shallow, standard and telescopic.

On deck, a near-flush teak surface flows from cockpit to stern, while the twin helm stations benefit from winches and controls positioned for intuitive handling in both short-handed and fully crewed configurations.

The cockpit can transform from protected cruising lounge to an open racing space or social terrace. At anchor, the garage door opens to double as a swim platform.

Below deck, the Swan 80 is available in multiple layouts. Stairs lead down to a saloon with two facing C-shaped sofas, with a dining table to starboard and coffee table to port.

The first hull features a forward master suite, a forward VIP cabin and two aft guest cabins, all with en-suite bathrooms. There’s separate access to the full-beam crew quarters including galley, all located forward of the tender garage.
