Europa Yachts, headed by CEO Thomas Cachera, has been appointed as the exclusive Indonesia dealer for both Beneteau and Lagoon, with the company building on its representation of both Groupe Beneteau brands in the Philippines.

Europa Yachts has fostered strong communities for both brands in the Philippines, providing a full ownership journey for customers from initial consultation and yacht selection to delivery coordination, after-sales support and long-term service planning, while also organising Beneteau Rendezvous and Lagoon Escapade events.

In Indonesia, Europa Yachts will represent all Beneteau models across Sailboats (Oceanis, Oceanis yacht, First, First SE, Figaro), Motor Yachts (Gran Turismo, Swift Trawler) and Dayboats (Flyer, Antares).

Erwan Her, Beneteau’s Asia-Pacific Sales Director, said: “Beneteau is excited to broaden its successful partnership with Europa Yachts, our Philippines partner, into Indonesia. This expansion reflects the strong momentum we have built together and our commitment to serving customers across Southeast Asia.

“Indonesia is a key market with its amazing archipelago, and with our dealer’s proven expertise and understanding in such territory, we’re confident we will accelerate growth and deliver outstanding results for Indonesian customers.”

Europa Yachts will also represent the full range of Lagoon sailing and power catamarans in Indonesia. After debuting the entry-level Lagoon 38 and flagship Lagoon Eight 2 sailing catamarans last year, the brand’s 2026 debuts will include the Eighty 3 motor yacht and Lagoon 47 sailing model.

Cosmas Grelon, Asia-Pacific Sales Manager for Excess and Lagoon, said: “It is with immense pride and confidence that we are announcing the strategic expansion of our esteemed and long-standing partner, Europa Yachts, into the Indonesian market together with Lagoon.

“This decision represents a significant milestone in our continued regional growth strategy, bringing the unparalleled Lagoon experience with innovation, comfort and service to the dream destination that is the beautiful archipelago of Indonesia. We have every confidence that Europa Yachts will not only succeed but excel in introducing Indonesian enthusiasts and investors to the Lagoon lifestyle.”

Sunseeker’s Asia-Pacific representative, DCH Marine, has handed over a new 90 Ocean Enclosed in Hong Kong to an “ambitious young owner who’s planning even bigger adventures”, as described by the British shipyard.

Formerly known as the Ocean 182, the enclosed-flybridge version of the 90 Ocean (click for Review) is the third Sunseeker in three years for the owner, whose previous yacht was a 76 Yacht, also sold by DCH Marine.

Recognising the emotional significance of the occasion, DCH Marine decorated the yacht and adorned it with small gifts and charms “in keeping with regional traditions and as a gesture of good fortune for the journeys ahead”.

David Wilder, DCH Marine’s Sales Director for Sunseeker, said: “This delivery represents the culmination of many months of hard work by the entire team including DCH sales, DCH service, the Sunseeker shipyard, and the designers and engineers.

“To see everything come together for an owner who has placed such continued trust in us is incredibly rewarding. Delivering his third yacht in three years is a proud milestone for everyone involved.”

Plans are already in motion to further customise the interior, refining the space to reflect the owner’s tastes and lifestyle.

Sunseeker also revealed that the owner’s extensive cruising plans include Taiwan, north to Japan, through the Philippines and Indonesia, “with Australia firmly on the horizon”.

The shipyard also stated that the “cruising ambitions perfectly suit the Ocean series platform”. The 90 Ocean Enclosed has an overall length of 89ft and a huge beam of 23ft 6in, with the expansive three-deck layout combining with the enclosed flybridge to provide 182GT of interior volume. The yacht has twin 1,900hp MAN V12 engines, a 13,000-litre fuel capacity and a range of 1,100nm at 10-12 knots.

Sunseeker stated: “The 90 Ocean Enclosed will provide the ideal base for such exploration, combining expansive interior volume, enclosed helm protection for varied climates, and the long-range cruising capability required for serious passage-making across Asia-Pacific waters.”

Netto II is the second hull from the Amels 80 series, with delivery scheduled ahead of the Mediterranean summer.

Damen Yachting has launched the second hull of the Amels 80 series, with images revealing the superyacht’s name as Netto II. Sold in December 2022, just months after the new model was introduced to the market, Netto II arrived for outfitting at Damen Yachting’s Vlissingen City site in August 2024 and is due for delivery to her new owner before the upcoming Mediterranean summer.

Stefan Regtvoort, Damen Yachting’s Project Manager, said: “Seeing this impressive Amels 80 now afloat and outside again is a proud moment for everyone involved. The successful launch from the dock is the result of close teamwork, precision planning and dedication from all our colleagues and partners including the owner’s team, represented by Kees de Keizer. We’re now looking forward to the next exciting phases as she moves closer to delivery.”

Designed by Espen Øino, the 80m, 2,175GT motoryacht sports a distinctive exterior look, with a hull colour described by Damen Yachting as “metallic dolphin blue” combining with a platinum bootstripe and white superstructure. Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design styled the interiors.

The yacht features a spacious sundeck with an oversized jacuzzi, and a beach club that opens on three sides and provides direct access to the sea as well as facilities like a gym, hammam and sauna. On the aft main deck, a glass-bottomed, 6.5m-long pool serves as a skylight for the beach club below.

Aside from the hallmark features, the second Amels 80 has also been customised with unique details such as a “speakeasy bar with a 1960s casino vibe”, according to the shipyard. There are also seven suites on board for up to 14 guests, alongside quarters for 20 crew.

Netto II is the second Amels 80 to hit the water, with the first, Pangea, delivered in October 2025. There are currently another four Amels 80 units in build, with Project Zurich (Amels 8003) due for delivery later this year.

Benetti Yachtmaster highlights new Service Division

Held for the first time at Benetti’s Livorno and Viareggio shipyards, the Yachtmaster shared key updates including the recent establishment of a Service Division.

The modernisation of infrastructure and on-board technology, preventive maintenance, turnkey services and the new Azimut|Benetti Service Division were the main topics at the 26th Benetti Yachtmaster in Italy.

For the first time, the annual event – created in 2000 by Azimut|Benetti Group founder Paolo Vitelli – was hosted entirely in the company’s Livorno and Viareggio production facilities, which welcomed about 200 superyacht captains, surveyors and owner representatives, as well as Giovana Vitelli, Chair of Azimut|Benetti Group.

The opening day was an opportunity to present the results of the process launched following the listening phase after the 2025 event.

In response to the evidence that emerged last year from structured tools such as the Net Promoter Score and the ‘Perspective from the Bridge’ project, Benetti has implemented new processes and technologies at its facilities to optimise operating standards and flows.

In recent years, Benetti’s drive for innovation has also resulted in structural improvements to shipyard safety. The installation of electronic panels and automatic turnstiles now optimises the management of people flow and access to work areas.

Massimiliano Casoni, Benetti’s General Manager, said: “Ongoing dialogue with owners, captains and crews is a strategic lever for excellence in the production and servicing of our yachts. These activities have helped to strengthen the relationship of trust with our stakeholders, translating into tangible actions across the entire supply chain, from initial contact with the customer to after-sales service, and establishing a long-term relationship between the brand, the owner and the crew.”

Direct feedback from owners resulted in the creation of the Azimut|Benetti Service Division, which was presented to captains during the second day. Launched by the Group in January 2026, the platform meets the needs of contemporary owners seeking simplicity, immediacy and intelligent solutions.

Casoni said: “The Service Division is the natural evolution of our approach to services, designed to support customers throughout the entire life cycle of their yacht, protecting the asset, preserving its value over time and guaranteeing real peace of mind.”

The three strategic pillars of the new proposition are Technical Services, Fleet Operation, and the Lifestyle and Turnkey ecosystem.

The shipyard provides management services that include personalised maintenance plans, warranty extensions and global assistance at certain costs. Additionally, a digital IoT platform installed on board increases the boat’s lifespan and performance.

Benetti is also investing in human capital with the Crew Academy, the programme of training excellence that enhances crew expertise and service standards. Finally, through its Yachtique atelier, the shipyard offers interior design consulting and bespoke solutions, from move-in-ready collections to furnishings designed by leading luxury brands.

Supporting this vision, the Benetti Service Net project was presented during the conference at the Livorno shipyard. This global support network has a broad base of 16 service points located in key geographical areas and managed by 10 partners selected and certified by Benetti.

The service points operate according to rigorous technical standards and under the shipyard’s central coordination, ensuring prompt support, high quality and operational continuity wherever a yacht is cruising. The Benetti Service Net also ensures integrated access to all the shipyard’s maintenance and warranty programmes worldwide.

Also attending the 26th Yachtmaster, Lusben – the Azimut|Benetti Group refit division in Varazze – answered participants’ questions about programmes and services for captains and owners, illustrating the technological innovations, facilities and teams of professionals at the three sites. The event was also an opportunity to look back over Lusben’s 70 years in business since the company’s foundation in Viareggio in 1956.

Yachtmaster guests were also able to soak up Benetti’s heritage by immersing themselves in the atmosphere of this year’s edition of the Viareggio Carnival (Carnevale de Viareggio), an iconic Italian tradition that shares a common heritage with the shipyard. Both were founded in 1873 by the skilled dockworkers and craftsmen of the Darsena.

It was the ingenuity of master carpenters and caulkers that gave life to the first carnival floats, transferring their construction expertise from wooden boats to city parades.

This storied setting, involving masked races and the museum spaces in the Cittadella, provided the backdrop for team-building activities, encouraging discussion and strengthening the synergy between captains and professionals.

TYBA announces Thai Charter Licence update

The Thai Charter Licence threshold has been reduced to 24m, which could “easily double” the number of foreign-flagged yachts chartering in Thailand.

TYBA, Thai Charter Licence, Thai Yachting Business Association

The Thai Yachting Business Association (TYBA) has announced that the yacht-length threshold for applying for the Thai Charter Licence has been reduced from 30m to 24m.

TYBA played a key role in the inception of the Thai Charter Licence for 30m-plus yachts in 2015 and has since lobbied for the minimum required length of yachts eligible to apply for the licence to be reduced.

The Ministry of Transport, with its recent announcement concerning Superyacht Commercial Operations in Thai waters, recently granted permission for yachts of 24m and larger, carrying no more than 12 passengers, to apply for the Thai Charter Licence to conduct commercial charters in Thailand.

TYBA believes this reduction could “easily double the number of foreign-flagged yachts coming to Thailand to engage in superyacht charter”. An increase in superyacht charters would attract more high-value tourists, benefit local marinas and companies providing yacht services, provisioning, repair and maintenance, and support the Thai economy due to VAT and taxes.

TYBA stated that it next hopes to change the rule limiting foreign-flagged yacht crew visas to 30 days and instead tie such visas to the period that foreign-flagged yachts are permitted to stay, which is currently up to 30 months under a temporary import permit.

Leopard Catamarans has debuted the ‘refined’ edition of its 53 Powercat, which is set to have its Asia premiere at this year’s Singapore Yachting Festival.

Leopard Catamarans staged the world premiere of its the upgraded 53 Powercat at this year’s Miami International Boat Show in February. Building upon the foundation of its predecessor, with over 140 units delivered, the new 53 Powercat is available for private owners and within The Moorings Yacht Ownership Program, which offers a guaranteed income stream and alongside owner use.

The yacht retains its efficient hull design and twin 370hp Yanmar engines, which offer top speeds up to 24 knots and an extensive range. The key focus of the redesign is the enhancement of the expansive exterior living areas, with the aft cockpit now available in a flexible ‘Alfresco’ modular furniture setup or a traditional fixed configuration.

The aft area benefits from an enhanced walk-through transom and optional redesigned electric lifting platform, which can extend the cockpit area or carry a tender in the raised position, and be lowered to provide a spacious swim platform.

The flybridge, often described as the heart of the boat, has been refined. It now features a more spacious and comfortable seating layout with modular back cushions and new fabric, an upgraded helm station with improved visibility and ergonomics, and a sophisticated outdoor galley with an integrated sink, grill and refrigeration.

Other changes include modernised cockpit lighting for ambiance and functionality, plus ambient and task flybridge lighting built into seating and structure for night use.

Inside, the saloon has undergone a major refresh, with redesigned seating, upgraded premium finishes and an enhanced connection between the galley, dining and lounge areas. An important engineering update includes housing all major systems in a separate, sealed engine room, substantially reducing engine noise and vibration.

The 53 Powercat continues to be offered with three or four en-suite cabins, with the owner’s version providing a private suite in the starboard hull with a large island bed aft, spacious walk-in closet and en-suite bathroom forward.

The new flagship of the brand’s Power range is scheduled to have its Asia debut at the Singapore Yachting Festival (April 23-26), where it will be part of another strong in-water display by Leopard at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove.

Franck Bauguil, Senior Vice President of Yacht Ownership & Product Development for Leopard Catamarans and The Moorings, stated: “The refined Leopard 53 Powercat is a testament to our commitment to continuous innovation and listening to the needs of our global owners. We haven’t just refreshed the finishes; we’ve optimised the experience at the same price point.

“The combination of its exceptional new living spaces, smart ergonomic design and enhanced level of comfort truly sets a new standard for luxury power catamaran cruising. It remains the ideal platform for both extended private voyages and successful charter ownership through The Moorings.”

Aquila staged the world premiere of its 50 Sail at this year’s Miami International Boat Show, with the model set to make its Europe debut at the International Multihull Show (April 22-26) in La Grande Motte on France’s south coast. Aquila’s 44 Sail is set to debut later this year, with the 65 Sail scheduled to splash in 2027.

Conceived by an Aquila leadership team boasting vast sailing experience, each of Aquila’s sailing catamarans have been developed with long-standing design partner J&J Design, the Slovenia-based studio that has designed many sail boats among its portfolio of 400 production boat designs for 70 builders.

Throughout the Aquila Sail range, propulsion options include diesel engines or Hybrid Ocean Drive™, the latter providing silent electric propulsion or diesel power when conditions demand it.

Aquila signatures carried over from the powercat line include flybridge-to-bow stairs and a solid foredeck with a large seating area. Inside, a well-appointed saloon and galley have panoramic windows to increase natural light.

On the 50 Sail, owners can choose four, five or six cabins in the hulls. Each cabin has extensive headroom and storage, a private entrance and an en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower. The optional owner’s suite offers a queen-sized bed, large hull windows, generous storage and en-suite bathroom with washer/dryer utility area.

Jean Raas, Chief Product Officer and CEO of Aquila USA, said: “Introducing our Sail range was a natural evolution for Aquila and marks an exciting new chapter in our journey as a global boat manufacturer.

“Our team brings decades of hands-on sailing knowledge and industry experience, which we’ve drawn upon to enter the sailing market with intention and precision. The 50 Sail embodies this expertise, and we were delighted to showcase her at the 2026 Miami International Boat Show.”

Raas is a former USA Sailing team member team and Olympic triallist, while his brother Alain Raas, Aquila’s Global Brand Director, sailed competitively from an early age and has completed trans-Pacific crossings. Lex Raas, their father and Aquila’s co-founder, is a long-time sailor and also the founder of Leopard Catamarans.

Also within Aquila, Chief Revenue Officer Nick Harvey is a lifelong sailor and worked on sailing catamarans during over two decades with Groupe Beneteau, Global Service Manager Gareth Wood captained large sailing catamarans, and Chief Designer Jure Zule has sailed competitively since young.

Frank Xiong, CEO of Sino Eagle Group, which manufactures the Aquila portfolio, has extensive experience building sailing catamarans at facilities in China, where the new Aquila Sail models are being built in Hangzhou.

Wally staged the world premiere of the outboard-powered wallypower50X at this year’s Miami International Boat Show in February. The yacht’s standard propulsion package features four 425hp Mercury V10 Verado engines that deliver a top speed of 50 knots and a cruising speed of 34 knots, based on preliminary data.

The upgraded power pack features four 500hp Mercury Racing V8s, as fitted on the model’s second hull, which was on display at the Miami show. The Racing engines increase performance, with a predicted top speed of 54 knots and a cruising speed of 36 knots, also based on preliminary data.

Wally, wallypower50X, wallypower50, Miami International Boat Show, Boot Düsseldorf, wallytender48, wallypower58

Aside from outboard engines, which contribute to an overall length of 50ft 6in, the yacht is based on the wallypower50 inboard model that debuted at Boot Düsseldorf 2024.

The wallypower50 has an overall length of 47ft 11in, as it combines the naval architecture of the wallytender48 (2019) – Wally’s first model following its acquisition by Ferretti Group – with the superstructure style of the wallypower58 (2022).

Wally, wallypower50X, wallypower50, Miami International Boat Show, Boot Düsseldorf, wallytender48, wallypower58

The profiles of the wallypower50 and its X edition include a vertical bow, a fully concealed anchoring system, and a sharp, angular superstructure that’s enclosed on three sides.

Lounging areas includes two double island sunpads on the aft deck, with a central walkway offering easy boarding and disembarkation. Symmetrical fold-down sides increase the usable deck space by over 5sqm and create balconies over the sea, which is even more important on the outboard X version due to its row of outboards along the aft platform.

Wally, wallypower50X, wallypower50, Miami International Boat Show, Boot Düsseldorf, wallytender48, wallypower58

The cockpit area covered by the glazed superstructure includes a starboard sofa facing an L-shaped sofa and a table to port, which all combine to offer dining for up to eight.

Forward is a galley in the starboard corner, opposite a helm station with two of Wally’s distinctive, high-backed helm chairs, originally designed by Poltrona Frau for the wallywhy200 (89ft).

Wally, wallypower50X, wallypower50, Miami International Boat Show, Boot Düsseldorf, wallytender48, wallypower58

Below deck, the yacht features a small lounge area, a bathroom with separate shower to port, and an open double bed in the bow with overhead skylights. Novel features include the ‘magic portholes’, indoor screens that simulate outside views.

Benetti launched Dagger in Livorno, just three weeks after splashing Symmetry. The two 2026 launches represent the third and fourth units of the B.Now 67M, but the first two with hybrid propulsion systems. Built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, the B.Now 67M is a 67m, 1,350GT motoryacht with an 11m beam and features exterior design by RWD.

Symmetry features an interior by Reymond Langton Design and includes 10 special decorations ranging from custom fabrics and lacquered metals to textile artworks. A standout feature is the large chandelier in ‘ice effect’ crystal glass, a bespoke piece that reflects light in a sculptural way.

The owner of Dagger chose Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, the Dutch studio that also handled the interiors of Lady Estey, which is the second unit in the series and was used for the model’s world premiere at the Monaco Yacht Show last September.

Dagger’s interior includes the use of nine woods, while numerous areas have been designed as private art galleries, with special shelves for sculptures and spotlit niches recessed in the walls exhibiting paintings and artwork.

The hybrid propulsion system on Symmetry and Dagger is designed to achieve a tangible reduction in environmental impact and superior acoustic comfort, eliminating vibrations and noise both when under way and at anchor.

The system’s three key elements – main engines, generators and battery pack – operate in variable synergy to adapt to each cruising profile, so optimising energy flows and consumption. The engines can generate electricity, the generators can contribute to propulsion, and the batteries can cover loading peaks or ensure absolute silence.

The propulsion package includes an advanced shaft line system with variable-pitch propellers, which adjust according to the navigation conditions. Technology also includes intelligent use of waste energy, including using the heat produced by the generators to warm domestic water and the swimming pool.

Daniela Petrozzi, Benetti’s Sales Director, said: “Owners are no longer looking just for a yacht but for a more conscious and authentic way to experience the sea. These launches demonstrate how market demand is shifting towards yachts that deliver superior technological autonomy and reduced environmental impact, without ever compromising on comfort.

“For people who choose a large yacht today, the real value lies precisely in the balance between steel construction excellence and propulsion systems capable of offering a quieter and more sustainable quality of life on board.”

The Republic of Singapore Yacht Club (RSYC) marked its 200th anniversary with a Bicentennial Charity Gala Dinner in the club’s Nautica Ballroom.

The milestone event was graced by Tharman Shanmugaratnam, President of the Republic of Singapore, and attended by over 130 guests including club members, sponsors and distinguished guests, raising funds in support of the President’s Challenge.

Founded in 1826, RSYC commemorated its rich heritage through an evening reflecting tradition and a longstanding commitment to service, tracing its journey alongside Singapore’s seafaring story as it evolved into a distinctly Singaporean and multicultural institution.

The programme opened with a Bicentennial tribute video, followed by welcome remarks by Balakrishnan B, Commodore of the RSYC.

In honour of the club’s enduring legacy of service, fellowship and contribution to the wider community, President Tharman officiated the unveiling of the RSYC Bicentennial Plaque and the ceremonial cake-cutting. He was joined by Balakrishnan and other RSYC Committee members, as well as Desmond Lee, Minister for Education and MP for West Coast-Jurong West GRC.

The gala also marked the opening event of RSYC’s year-long bicentennial programme, designed to drive member engagement through a series of sporting and social activities held throughout 2026.

It also brought together significant figures who have shaped the club across generations including Edward Wong, Managing Director of AWP and architect of RSYC’s current clubhouse following the club’s relocation to its present premises in 1999.

Francis Lee was also honoured as RSYC’s first Singaporean Commodore (appointed in 1985) and for playing a pivotal role in redefining RSYC as a national club with an international membership, while championing initiatives that strengthened sea sports development, professional training and the preservation of the club’s history.

The highlight of the evening was a charity auction, featuring a curated selection of rare and exclusive items including a one-of-a-kind RSYC Bicentennial Commemorative Pure Gold Coin, limited-edition Bicentennial Pure Silver Coins and a rare 60-year-old Martell Cognac – one of only 12 in the world – presented in a Baccarat crystal decanter.

RSYC raised a total of S$326,692 through the gala dinner and auction, and all proceeds were directed towards The President’s Challenge – a national movement launched in 2000 by RSYC’s former Patron, the late President S R Nathan, to rally Singaporeans to build a more caring and cohesive society, and support communities in need.

RSYC presented a cheque of $326,692, raised through the gala dinner and auction, to The

President’s Challenge 2026.

Later in the evening, a cheque presentation was followed by a post-dinner heritage exhibition showcasing key milestones from the club’s long and distinguished history. As a token of appreciation, all attendees were presented with a specially produced RSYC Bicentennial commemorative gold-plated coin as a door gift.

Balakrishnan said: “As we mark 200 years of the Republic of Singapore Yacht Club, this bicentennial milestone reflects our enduring maritime heritage and the values that have shaped the club generations. We are honoured to commemorate this historic occasion through a meaningful initiative in support of the President’s Challenge, reaffirming RSYC’s long-standing commitment to contributing positively to Singapore’s community.”

Looking ahead, RSYC will continue to build on its heritage as a premier institution, honour its seafaring legacy and chart its next chapter through milestone occasions and activities that contribute meaningfully to national causes and Singapore’s future.

The Bicentennial Charity Gala was made possible with the support of Platinum Sponsors Royal Salute Scotch Whiskey and Martell; Gold Sponsors Asiatic Fire System, Marina Technology and Construction, Nippon Paint and OCBC; and Silver Sponsors AWP Architects, Cloudable Solutions and Sindcon. Neo Garden served as the Official Caterer, with Adidas as the Official Merchandiser.
