The German shipyard has described the 5,602GT superyacht as “among the largest traditionally styled yachts ever to be built”.

Lürssen has delivered the 117m, 5,602GT Boardwalk, which the shipyard has described as “unlike any Lürssen before her” and “among the largest traditionally styled yachts ever to be built, both in length and volume”. Boardwalk is the third superyacht delivered by Lürssen this year, following the 78m Odisea and 134m Deep Blue.

US-based Frank Woll designed the exterior of Boardwalk, which features a fine-lined profile and sculpted bulwarks, and has been built in steel and aluminium.

“I believe nature is one of the finest architects,” Woll commented. “The starting point for Boardwalk was the fluid and streamlined geometry of the sea’s most agile marine life, sculpted by water itself. In the evening, when she is on display, we are revealing her timeless clarity of form with a constellation of lights.”

Motoryacht, superyacht, megayacht, yacht delivery, Lürssen, Boardwalk, Frank Woll, Amy Halffman, Suzanne Glover, Teresa Francis

Boardwalk’s most eye-catching feature is its aft main deck, which features “an innovation never before featured on a Lürssen” – a retractable deck section installed over the deployable stairwell to the beach club which, once closed, is hermetically sealed and class-approved. The area also includes a swimming pool, jacuzzi and sliding glass doors to the main saloon.

The yacht also includes a cinema, spa, gym, putting green, two helipads and a large garage that carries a fleet of vehicles including three custom tenders, an amphibious tender and off-road 4x4s.

Distinctive features include a glass-walled ‘catwalk’ that transforms the engine room into an engineering gallery, and about 3,000 points of exterior lighting, a third more than is usual for a yacht of this size.

Woll collaborated with the late Amy Halffman as well as Suzanne Glover and Teresa Francis to style the interior, which is largely finished in high-gloss burled mahogany and mirrored stainless steel, and includes 11 guest cabins, each with direct access to its own private terrace. According to Lürssen, Boardwalk’s owner was also heavily involved in the design process, “down to the minutest detail”.

Peter Lürssen, the shipyard’s CEO, commented: “Our singular job as a shipyard is to translate a vision into an operational vessel. At Lürssen, this also means exceeding expectations, but this can only be achieved through clear and accurate conversations.

“The lines of communication throughout this build had exceptional clarity. For this I am incredibly grateful, and I believe the results speak for themselves.”

Members of the Emirati royal families, clients, dealers and media recently attended an exclusive preview of the all-new Majesty 145 at the Gulf Craft Group shipyard in Umm Al Quwain. Gulf Craft Group was the winner of the Builder in Asia category at Yacht Style Awards 2026, held in Singapore in late April.

Mohammed Alshaali, Gulf Craft Group’s co-founder and Chairman, and CEO Erwin Bamps hosted guests at the private preview, which was held ahead of the yacht’s handover to her owner.

Alshaali said: “The Majesty 145 is a celebration of the entire team behind her. Every detail reflects the dedication of our designers, engineers, craftsmen, project managers, production teams and everyone who contributed to bringing this yacht to life.

“A vessel of this scale is never the work of one person. It is the result of shared commitment, discipline, experience and pride in what we build. For me, this moment is about recognising the people who continue to carry our standards forward and show what can be achieved from the UAE.”

The Majesty 145 was launched into the water in late April in a ceremony attended by Alshaali and Cristiano Gatto of Cristiano Gatto Design, the Italian studio responsible for the exterior and interior.

The 45m model is the latest addition to Majesty’s Superyacht Collection, which spans models from 100ft up to the shipyard’s flagship Majesty 175 (2021), also by Cristiano Gatto Design. The design firm is also behind the Majesty 160, which is scheduled to launch later this year.

The six-cabin Majesty 145 features dual infinity-style pools and dedicated wellness features including an infrared sauna and upper-deck gym. Technical innovations include a heat-recovery system that provides fuel-efficient hot water and climate control, an advanced water-mist fire-suppression system, and a certified lithium battery storage and charging system for onboard water toys.

Bamps added: “This preview is not only a celebration of a new yacht, a brand milestone or the capabilities of a shipyard. It is also a reflection of the UAE’s growing strength as a manufacturing nation. The Majesty 145 demonstrates the resilience, ambition and technical capability that exist within our industry, and our ability to compete on the global stage alongside the world’s finest yacht builders.”

Busy year for superyacht deliveries – Fraser

SHARE

Following over 200 deliveries of 30m-plus superyachts in each of the last two years, this looks set to be a bumper year for handovers, with well over 300 scheduled in 2026.

Superyacht, Fraser, deliveries, sales, CEO, Anders Kurtén, Yacht Style

As explored in Fraser’s new Global Superyacht Market publication (available for free via fraseryachts.com), sales of brand-new yachts in 2025 showed signs of renewed momentum according to Fraser CEO Anders Kurtén in his latest Column for Yacht Style.

“While overall volumes remain below the highs of 2021 and 2022, they are recovering slightly year-on-year. Demand continues to be supported by long-term interest in custom and semi-custom projects,” Kurtén wrote.

Superyacht, Fraser, deliveries, sales, CEO, Anders Kurtén, Yacht Style

“Activity continues to be concentrated in the 30-50m size segment, where semi-custom production offers shorter lead times and more predictable pricing.”

Kurtén stated that an increase in sales above 80m highlights sustained demand at the very top end, where experienced owners continue to commission highly customised projects. Together these trends suggest a more measured new-build market, driven by long-term planning, technical innovation and increasingly individual owner requirements.

“Looking ahead, the global order book shows sustained activity, reflecting a continued focus on larger, more complex projects,” he wrote.

“Although the number of yachts in build is slightly lower than in the previous two years, the average build length has risen, highlighting the continued shift toward greater scale and technical sophistication.”

Camper & Nicholsons, the ‘Global Brokerage in Asia’ winner at Yacht Style Awards 2026, has sold the 39.6m Silentworld. Sales Broker Adam Blackmore represented the seller, while Martin Hills of Alexander Marine Australia represented the buyer.

The recent transaction will mark a return to Australia’s east coast for Silentworld, which was based there before her sale to Asia in 2021, when Blackmore represented the buyer.

Built in Spain and launched in 2006, Silentworld has travelled extensively. Her most recent refits took place in 2018 and 2023, with the latter project focused on her interior. The yacht has accommodation for nine crew and up to 12 guests in six cabins including a main-deck master suite.

Camper & Nicholsons stated: “We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Roy Chan, who acted as legal counsel throughout the process, demonstrating exceptional professionalism and dedication in navigating a complex transaction.

“Special recognition also goes to Captains Ivan and Rado, along with the entire crew, whose continued commitment to delivering outstanding charter experiences and their invaluable support during the sales process have been instrumental. We extend our warmest congratulations to the new owner and wish them many memorable moments on board.”

Blackmore’s listings include two Hong Kong-based superyachts: Daydream, a 2021 Custom Line Navetta 30 with an asking price of €7,995,000, and the 48.5m Western Isles, now priced at US$3,495,000 following a US$355,000 reduction in April.

Built in Japan and launched in 1974, Western Isles had her most recent refit in 2025 and has accommodation for 14 guests in seven cabins, as well as nine crew. She has a 100,000-litre fuel capacity and a range of 8,000nm range.

A familiar presence at major boat shows across Asia, the Middle East and the US, the Oceanwalker S60 continues to front a brand building both twin-hull and monohull motoryachts.

Oceanwalker stated it’s already building the 19th hull of its globally popular S60 power catamaran and hopes to build another 50-60 units over the next five years at the Fujian Skywalker shipyard in China’s southeastern Fujian province, neighbouring Guangdong. Located in the township of Longjiao in the Longhai District of Zhangzhou, neighbouring Xiamen, the coastal shipyard has over 220 employees

Founded by Jason Jiang Zuguang in late 2022, the builder has focused on production of the S60, but is also building the X53 and X62 monohull flybridge motoryachts while also developing plans for S50 and S80 powercats.

However, the S60 – which has a top speed of 18 knots with twin 440hp Volvo Penta D6 DPI engines – has been the key to Oceanwalker securing strong representation in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, US and Europe.

Sky Walker Yachts, a charter-focused boating company based in the UAE, was appointed in March 2023 and took delivery of the first S60. The powercat exhibited at the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show in 2023 and 2024, as well as the Dubai International Boat Show in 2024.

Revolution Marine Group, whose new yachts portfolio also includes CL Yachts motoryachts and Heritage powercats from Italy’s Canados, was appointed as Oceanwalker’s US and Europe dealer in 2024.

The S60 was shown at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in late 2025 and this year’s Palm Beach International Boat Show. Revolution Marine Group is also collaborating with Oceanwalker on the solar-electric S60e, equipped with twin 200hp (150kW) electric motors.

Last year, Oceanwalker appointed Fantasea Ocean as its representative in Singapore and Indonesia, with the S60 exhibited at the Singapore Yachting Festival at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove in 2025 and this April. In December 2025, the S60 made its Hong Kong International Boat Show debut at Club Marina Cove.

“The company’s founders believed most powercats on the market still had room for improvement in terms of onboard comfort and interior space utilisation, so design comfort and generous indoor living space became the core DNA of the Oceanwalker brand,” said Sales Director Henry Hou.

Oceanwalker, Fujian Skywalker, shipyard, China, Fujian, province, Guangdong, Longjiao, Longhai, Zhangzhou, Xiamen, Henry Hou, Jason Jiang Zuguang, S60, S50, S80, X53, X62, monohull, flybridge, motoryachts, powercat, power catamaran, Asia, Middle East, US, Europe, Sky Walker Yachts, UAE, Abu Dhabi International Boat Show, Dubai International Boat Show, Revolution Marine Group, CL Yachts, Heritage, Italy, Canados, Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, Fantasea Ocean, Singapore, Indonesia, Singapore Yachting Festival, ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove, Hong Kong International Boat Show debut, Club Marina Cove

“The S60 exemplifies this vision. Its interior layout is carefully tailored to meet the needs of both family and business outings, offering significantly more living and activity space than competing models in its class.”

A new Amels 60 superyacht has been delivered to her new owner and named QU2. Following her private naming ceremony and departure from the Damen Yachting Vlissingen City yard, she embarked on her maiden voyage to the Mediterranean for her first charter season.

Rob Luijendijk, Commercial Director at Damen Yachting, commented: “As she departs, we wish her fair winds, following seas and many memorable voyages ahead. Amels 60 QU2 is a strong expression of what our Limited Editions approach makes possible. She brings together the proven technical backbone of the Amels 60 with a highly personal onboard experience shaped around her owner’s vision.”

Like all Amels 60 superyachts, QU2 is powered by a hybrid propulsion system, offering an extended cruising range of 5,000nm. Exteriors are by Espen Øino and defined by distinctive lines and signature trapezoid windows. QU2’s interiors have been customised by British studio Winch Design, with the shipyard describing the design as “well suited to the demands of charter”.

The yacht’s design highlights include a helipad, a 29m-long sundeck with a jacuzzi, an extended swimming platform and a 28sqm beach club with sauna and ample capacity for toys including two tenders and a pair of jetskis. There are cabins for up to 12 guests and 13 crew, with the owner’s suite including a 7sqm private balcony.

Luijendijk added: “With each Amels 60 delivery, we continue to build on our knowledge in design, engineering and real-world operation, and QU2 reflects that experience in a way that feels distinctly her own. Her balance of guest comfort, personalisation and crew-focused functionality is especially valuable for charter, where the onboard experience and service flow need to work naturally together.”

QU2 is the ninth Amels 60 to be delivered and the second this year, following Alva, which features Harrison Eidsgaard interiors. The 10th unit in the semi-custom series, which is currently for sale and has interiors by Laura Sessa, is scheduled to be launched in 2027.

Lürssen has staged a spectacular technical launch of the 101.4m Project Ziggy, following completion of the superyacht’s steel architectural structure. Following this major construction milestone, the German shipyard has announced that the project is on course for a 2028 delivery.

Harrison Eidsgaard has designed the exterior and interior of Project Ziggy, which marks the British studio’s second collaboration with Lürssen following the 95m CC-Summer delivered in 2019. The shipyard has described the profile of Project Ziggy as “muscular yet agile”, with its angular surfaces lined by vast panes of glazing.

According to the shipyard, Project Ziggy features “among the largest structural glass elements ever fitted on a Lürssen”, a notable statement given that the shipyard’s fleet includes vessels measuring as large as 180m LOA.

The shipyard also revealed that the high-volume project has been commissioned by a North American client, introduced to Lürssen by Thom Conboy & Associates and represented by WMG. According to Lürssen, the owner plans for the yacht to be “lived on”.

To fulfil this brief, Project Ziggy’s layout and facilities have been arranged to support “seven-star service” during extended cruising periods in any destination. Notable features include a helipad on her foredeck and cascading aft decks accommodating a sequence of pools and wellness areas.

Upon completion, Project Ziggy will be Lürssen’s 27th superyacht measuring over 100m LOA.

Veya Yachts, a new player in the growing powercat sector, has confirmed that it’s on schedule to stage the world premiere of its first model, the Veya 53, at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival (September 8-13). The model’s global debut will be followed by its US debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (October 28-November 1).

Veya is a French collaboration between Fountaine Pajot, one of the world’s leading catamaran builders, and the Couach shipyard in the coastal town of Gujan-Mestras, where the first three hulls of the Veya 53 are in build and will soon be followed by hull four.

Veya 53, power catamaran, powercat, Cannes Yachting Festival, Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, Berret Racoupeau Yacht Design

Drawn by the Berret Racoupeau Yacht Design studio in La Rochelle, the Veya 53 has an overall length of 54ft, a 51ft waterline and a beam of just over 26ft, plus a draft of just 3ft 7in. The twin-hulled yacht is available with two 440hp or 550hp Yanmar engines, with a 2,000-litre fuel capacity as standard plus an extra 800 litres as an option.

Aft features include a hydraulic swim bathing platform between two fixed transoms, while the cockpit is offered in two layouts. One includes inward-facing sofas on both sides of a C-shaped dinette – atop a storage locker for water toys – and two bar stools by the aft galley. The other includes loungers on either side, plus a folding table to starboard near an aft-facing sofa by the galley.

On each side of the cockpit, several steps lead up to wide side decks that access a foredeck with a sunken lounge with an integrated sofa that faces forward to chaise longues in each corner.

On the port side of the cockpit, stairs lead up to the flybridge, which has a wet bar to port and a C-shaped dinette with folding table to starboard. Forward is a helm station to port and a L-shaped sofa to starboard.

The interior starts with a U-shaped galley to starboard, where an aft flip-up window enables connection with the cockpit. Forward is the lounge area, where a C-shaped sofa to port faces a two-person settee and the indoor helm.

The lower-deck layouts include a three-cabin version featuring a master suite that occupies the port hull and includes an outward-facing bed situated forward. The starboard hull has two guest cabins with window-facing beds and a crew cabin in the forepeak.

The four-cabin version features four en-suite guest cabins and two en-suite crew cabins, one in each forepeak. The choice of three or four cabins also dictates whether the port stairs are aft or forward of the saloon sofa.

Sanlorenzo Asia-Pacific stated that Barbagallo Marine’s strong market presence and client-focused approach make it an ideal representative for Bluegame in Western Australia, supporting both seasoned owners and those new to the brand.

Daniele Lucà, CEO of Sanlorenzo Asia-Pacific (Interview, Issue 87), said: “We are pleased to welcome Barbagallo Marine to the Sanlorenzo Asia-Pacific family as our official Bluegame partner for Western Australia. Barbagallo Marine’s reputation and in-depth knowledge of the local boating culture make them exceptionally well positioned to represent Bluegame in a market defined by adventurous cruising and high expectations of performance, safety and quality.”

Western Australia offers some of the country’s most varied and spectacular cruising grounds, with more than 100,000 registered recreational vessels in the state and close to 300,000 licensed boaters. Rottnest Island, near Perth, is the state’s most popular boating and cruising destination, welcoming over 800,000 visitors annually and offering a network of sheltered bays, protected anchorages and established marine facilities.

Further north, the Coral Coast, including Shark Bay, Ningaloo Reef and the Abrolhos Islands, attracts owners seeking pristine waters and extended cruising opportunities. The coastline along the Kimberley – the state’s northernmost region – is internationally recognised for its remote, expedition‑style cruising, dramatic landscapes and world‑class natural environments.

The German shipyard’s ready-to-build, semi-custom concept is designed by Reymond Langton to offer “a turnkey path to ownership”.

Abeking & Rasmussen (A&R) has revealed designs for Aruby, a 70m, 1,770GT semi-custom superyacht concept named after the precious red gemstone and designed by Reymond Langton as a “ready-to-build” solution for clients. A&R has formerly collaborated with the British studio on 58m and 78m motoryachts.

“Aruby is our answer to the modern owner’s desire for quality without the typical development lead times,” explained Till von Krause, Sales Director of A&R’s Yacht Department.

“By utilising a pre-engineered, proven platform, we save months of development time. This allows owners to skip the complexities of a new build while still enjoying the individualised experience and interior design freedom for which A&R is famous.”

Images of the new concept reveal a modern profile, combining a plumb bow paired with smooth, rounded exterior lines reminiscent of waves. The superyacht will be powered to top speeds of 16 knots by a hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system house in an optimised, single-tier engine room.

The motoryacht features a plethora of indoor and outdoor entertaining spaces. Highlights include the main saloon, outfitted with panoramic windows and a cocktail bar, while the expansive sundeck offers a forward swimming pool and an outdoor cinema complemented by a firepit.

Aruby also boasts an extensive beach club including a glass-bottomed pool that filters light to the waterside lounge below, as well as an extended swim platform, gym and sauna.

A total of seven staterooms, including a 90sqm owner’s suite with two private balconies, makes Aruby flexible for either personal or commercial use, with the German shipyard describing the project as one that “bridges the gap between our fully custom masterpieces and highly efficient platforms”.

Tamara Gramberg, A&R’s Head of Marketing & Sales Management, stated: “Aruby is a turnkey path to ownership. Ready-to-build, there is no prior new build experience needed. Aruby is ideal for family use, entertaining and has perfect charter potential.”
