Platoon wins Rolex TP52 World Championship

Germany’s Platoon pipped Turkey’s Provezza in a thrilling Rolex TP52 World Championship in Barcelona.

The 2023 edition of the Rolex TP52 World Championship brought together 10 teams from seven nations and four continents in Barcelona, Spain, to compete for the one of the most sought-after prizes in sailing.

 

At the end of an exacting series that demanded patience, determination and skill, the German team Platoon, led by owner/helm Harm Müller-Spreer, won its third world title, demonstrating an exceptional ability to deliver under pressure on an epic final day.

 

The Rolex TP52 World Championship is the highlight of the 52 Super Series, the world’s premier monohull Grand Prix racing circuit. The TP52 is a 52ft (15.85m), full-carbon-fibre racing yacht at the forefront of the sport.

Rolex has been the title sponsor of the world championship, and the official timepiece of the 52 Super Series, since 2017 as part of a proud partnership with the world of sailing stretching back six decades.

 

The 10 competing teams were all led by passionate owners accustomed to success in their working life and united by a love of the sport and its values.

 

Competitive by nature, their crews comprise the elite sailing talent required to race at this elevated level. Seamanship, teamwork and consistency are indispensable elements to shine in a competition that can be won or lost in the instant of a tactical decision or a manoeuvre.

 

Platoon’s veteran tactician, Vasco Vascotto, distilled what makes the difference in an evenly matched fleet: “With top-level crews, 90 per cent of the tactical calls are very similar. It is the details that makes the difference.”

 

 

Those details come from leading figures in the sailing spectrum such as Santiago Lange, coach to Ergin Imre’s Provezza team. The legendary triple Olympic medallist from Argentina is an exceptional observer.

 

“Above all, it is one hundred per cent teamwork,” Lange said. “Each member is an expert in their field, each has their own opinion, and it is the ability to channel this exchange of information that allows the team to grow and achieve its goals.”

 

Every part of the machine must work perfectly, to perform its function and ensure perfect movement. Information is the oil that guarantees the smooth functioning of each part.

 

 

The format of the Rolex TP52 World Championship is simple: in each race, teams score points according to their position on the finish line. Every race counts and team with the lowest cumulative score at the end of the series is the winner. This formula, as fair as it is ruthless, demands maximum effort and punishes the slightest error.

 

Five teams managed to score first places across the eight races, proving the quality of the fleet. However, it requires more than exceptional moments of brilliance to secure a world championship. Those that aspire to the overall title exhibit consistency in concentration and perseverance in the pursuit of excellence.

 

A lack of wind at the start of the championship compressed the scheduled programme of five days of competition into just three. When the wind arrived, it delivered competition of the highest order, testing the resilience and determination of the crews.

 

The eventual winner was decided on a thrilling final leg of the last race when Platoon overcame two rivals to take the title by a single point from Provezza.

Müller-Spreer was thrilled with the achievement. “It feels great,” he said. “It’s not something you can do easily. To achieve world titles in this category is a great honour.”

 

Vascotto stressed the importance of teamwork and ability to bounce back from mistakes. “A team makes a difference if you work as a team,” said the Platoon tactician. “You need intelligence and motivation, and at the decisive moment we had the temperament to wait for our opportunity. You cannot be afraid to lose because that’s what gives you a chance to win.”

 

The 2023 edition of the Rolex TP52 World Championship demonstrated many things during its course. Most significant were the exceptional quality displayed by all 10 contenders, along with the small margins between success and failure. The winning team’s defining edge was its unwavering commitment in the most difficult moments, turning adversity into triumph.

Aquila Power Catamarans has confirmed that it will host the European premiere of its 42 Yacht flybridge model at the Cannes Yachting Festival (September 12-17), where it will exhibit alongside the 36 Sport outboard cruiser, the brand’s most popular model.

 

The Aquila 42 Yacht (click for Review) had its world premiere at the Miami International Boat Show in February and is the new entry model for the Yacht series of flybridge inboard models, joining the 44 Yacht, 54 Yacht and flagship 70 Luxury. The 42 Yacht’s appearance at Cannes marks the model’s first major boat show outside of the US.

The 42 Yacht is built to CE Certification Category A and designed by France-based VPLP Design. The yacht features outdoor social areas in the cockpit, flybridge and foredeck, a large saloon and galley, while there are a range of accommodation options in the hulls and bow.

 

Aquila staff at the Cannes show will also offer information on the brand’s upcoming 47 Molokai, which is set for a world premiere at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (October 25-29).

Celebrating its 150th anniversary, Benetti will showcase three models at the Super Yacht Extension at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival from September 12-17. The Italian builder will show a Motopanfilo 37M, Alluria, along with an Oasis 34M, Opus, and an Oasis 40M, Oreos.

 

Alluria is the fifth hull of the Motopanfilo 37M, a model inspired by the motor yachts of the 1960s. The yacht features an exterior by Francesco Struglia and interiors by Lazzarini Pickering Architetti, while the décor by Loro Piana Interiors offers classic fabrics including linen in shades of white, blue and malachite. Alluria is fitted with an SCR system that reduces NOx emissions.

Opus is the sixth unit of the Oasis 34M, a model that had its world premiere at Cannes last year and is the little sister of the hugely popular Oasis 40M. Like its big sister, the 34M is notable for its aft Oasis Deck™ solution, which connects the interiors and the beach area to provide closer contact with the sea.

 

Like the Oasis 40M, the Oasis 34M features exteriors by UK-based studio RWD and interiors by New York architects Bonetti & Kozerski.

In the 20th century, phinisis were built by the seafaring cultures of South Sulawesi to carry exotic spices, sandalwood and textiles through the ancient spice trading route. Today, new phinisis are primarily Indonesian charter yachts built for cruising, diving and recreational activities.

 

Although the onboard pursuits may have altered, the distinctive architecture and boatbuilding skills of the UNESCO-recognised Bugis Makassar community have not, resulting in striking new builds, such as the 50m Vela, which offers a harmonious blend of ancient craftsmanship and enchanting cruising opportunities.

Vela is among the newest phinisis operating charters

 

Accommodating up to 12 adults and two children, Vela is available for charter throughout Indonesia with Camper & Nicholsons. The boat’s cruising itinerary takes in Raja Ampat in the winter, where guests swim with manta rays during drift and reef dives in richly biodiverse waters.

 

In the summer months, Bali and the Komodo National Park offer shoreside sightings of Komodo dragons and whale shark encounters, while the option of exploring the famed Spice Islands in between seasons allows for treks into rainforests in search of the elusive Bird of Paradise.

There’s also the option of exploring off-the-beaten-track destinations in Flores, east of Komodo, and the Alor archipelago further east.

 

Vela (meaning shoreline) is one of the largest phinisis on water. Built by Pak Haji Abdullah in 2022 at its Sulawesi shipyard, the boat successfully unites old construction techniques with a modern offering.

 

Its two hotelier owners, Dimitri Tran and Adrien Portier, have brought their hospitality expertise to the water with the aim of redefining the phinisi charter experience.

“We wanted to build a boat that feels like it belongs in Indonesia, but to standards that are more comparable to a superyacht in the Mediterranean,” says Tran, who celebrated Vela’s delivery by enjoying a 10-day Indonesian cruise with Portier and friends, with fireworks and beach barbecues among highlights.

 

“Modern phinisis are powered by an engine with the sails kept for their aesthetic beauty, but we wanted Vela’s sails to be more than decoration and for the boat to be able to sail whenever wanted.”

Designed by naval architect Tresno Seery, Vela is a tall phinisi and boasts a large sail surface with 650sqm of off-white gaff-rigged sails.

The sleek, pronounced hull is made from durable ironwood – which ensures good seakeeping in rough, high seas – and a superstructure primarily crafted from teak.

 

The boat’s 32m-high masts and classic schooner rigging with winches, booms and gaffs set her apart from other phinisi yachts and deliver impressive sailing capabilities that showcase true artisanal skill. A double keel gives the boat weight under the waterline, while the implementation of a marine cooling system – another notable difference – further enhances guests’ onboard comfort.

Vela’s spars are made of carbon, but the masts are crafted from steel. The main mast doubles as a crane to lift the yacht’s toys and tenders in and out of the water. It eliminates the need for a separate hydraulic crane on deck, freeing up the exterior areas for dining, relaxing and socialising, as well as enhancing the efficiency and convenience of the boat’s charter operations.

 

The opportunities for fun on the water are boundless. In addition to two Zodiac tenders, the yacht carries a fantastic selection of water toys including two Yamaha jet-skis, waterskis, wakeboards, paddleboards, surfboards, kayaks and various towables.

Solid teak furniture produced by local artisans using teak from sustainably managed sources is found throughout the yacht. In addition to the yacht’s zero-plastic policy, reef-safe bath and body products made with natural ingredients and bamboo toothbrushes are offered in respect of Indonesia’s delicate cruising environment and responsible charter offerings.

 

Likewise, the interior is both refined and contemporary with carefully sourced materials chosen by the owners from overseas. There are white linen and fabrics by brands such as Hermès, Dedar Milano and Rubelli, reading lamps by Contardi Italia, brass door handles made in Italy by Olivari, and silverware produced by Cutipol in Portugal.

Among Vela’s standout features are the six en-suite guest cabins, which include the full-beam bridge deck master with a private terrace, and the similarly-sized VIP on the main deck, both offering panoramic views out to sea.

 

Each cabin features a bathroom with Axor fittings and dressed in white marble and green tiles made by Balinese ceramics specialist Gaya. Hand-woven plant fabrics, traditional kimonos and decorative throw pillows made from natural plant-based indigo add an elegant touch.

A formal saloon is the yacht’s only indoor dining option, with nearly all meals taking place outdoors on either the main deck forward or aft. The chef’s culinary skills are far-reaching and tailored to guests’ preferences – nasi goreng with a side serving of sambal one night, mushroom risotto the next.

 

For the yacht’s 15 artworks, the owners collaborated with three of Indonesia’s leading contemporary galleries. “Our mandate was to showcase up-and-coming talent and highlight what Indonesian contemporary art is today,” Tran says.

Azimut has confirmed that it will debut the Verve 48 along with the Magellano 60 at the Cannes Yachting Festival, which will also mark the in-water premiere of the S7 sportbridge model that was unveiled at the Boot Dusseldorf indoor show in January.

 

An upgrade of the Verve 47, the Verve 48 reveals new developments by Azimut and Francesco Struglia, who designed the interiors and exteriors. The stern area is completely new, larger and integrated with two ladders to easily get into the water, while the yacht features a drop-down bulwark on the port side.

The Verve 48 also reveals a new hard top that’s available with an opening tempered glass insert, which reduces weight and lets in light and air, even at anchor.

 

Powered by three 600hp Mercury V12s, the Verve 48 can reach up to 50 knots, while fuel consumption during cruising speeds has been reduced by 15 per cent and noise has been reduced by up to 10 decibels compared to the Verve 47.

The Magellano 60 is the new entry model for a range that includes the upgraded Magellano 66, Magellano 25M and flagship Magellano 30M.

 

The new model features an efficient Dual Mode semi-planing hull and is the first Azimut to be used with HVOlution biofuel, which combined to produce a well-to-wake reduction in CO2 emissions of more than 80 per cent compared to a yacht of comparable size powered by diesel.

Designed by Ken Freivokh, who worked on earlier Magellano models and the more recent 25M and 30M, the Magellano 60 features the aft teak louvres on both sides that have become the series’ signature. 

 

Features include an ‘infinity terrace’ in the aft cockpit, an aft galley and a forward saloon area with a starboard dining area with a sea view through the large windows.

The S7 features an exterior by Alberto Mancini and is the first Azimut to feature an interior by Yachtique. Joining a sport yacht series featuring S6, S8 and S10 models, the 22m S7 is part of Azimut’s Low Emission Yacht family, combining a hull designed with by P.L. Ausonio Naval Architecture with the efficient propulsion of three Volvo IPS engines.

 

Azimut says the S7 has up to 30 per less consumption and CO2 emissions at the most frequent speeds of use compared to a boat of the same weight and size with a traditional hard-chine hull and shaft line. Marine Italia represents Azimut in Hong Kong, Macau, Guangdong, Taiwan and Singapore.

Absolute Yachts has announced that it will exhibit nine yachts from its three ranges at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival, which will be held from September 12-17.

 

The line-up of Absolute models on display in the Pantiero area of the Vieux Port includes the new 52 Fly, which had its world premiere at the Miami International Boat Show in February.

In line with Absolute’s new generation of flybridge yachts led by the 60 Fly and the 56 Fly (click for Review), which will both be in Cannes, the 52 Fly also has infinity aft decks and modular furniture in both the cockpit and flybridge.

 

Other distinctive features include opening saloon windows and the option of solar panels on the hard top, while the lower deck includes a full-beam master cabin in the bow, two doubles midships, and a versatile crew cabin.

Damen Yachting has delivered the SeaXplorer 58 Pink Shadow to its owner, who will use the 58m, 1,090GT superyacht with family and friends around the world. Featuring naval architecture by Damen Yachting and an exterior designed with Azure Yacht Design & Naval Architecture, the superyacht has accommodation for 12 guests and 18 crew, and will soon also be available for charter.

 

Following the SeaXplorer 62 Anawa and SeaXplorer 77 La Datcha (click for Review), Pink Shadow is the third superyacht from the Dutch builder’s range of luxury explorer yachts and features a premium synthetic teak deck.

Pink Shadow’s arsenal of toys includes two large multi-role tenders, road and off-road vehicles, and motorcycles. Due to an ice class hull and 30 days’ oceangoing autonomy, Pink Shadow can safely sail to many remote destinations often unreachable for other vessels, while wastewater tanks enable the yacht to access zero-discharge zones of outstanding natural beauty.

 

The owner selected UK-based Design Unlimited for the interior and contributed personally to a custom configuration in keeping with the SeaXplorer’s explorer spirit.

A secluded oasis accessible only via private aircraft tucked away in the island of Pamalican, Amanpulo is the hidden gem of the Philippines.

Six years have passed since my last visit to my mother’s hometown in the Philippines.

Radiating an aura of utmost exclusiveness, the Amanpulo resort stands as a secluded oasis accessible only via private aircraft. Within its confines, the noise of the external world becomes powerless, ensuring an uninterrupted cocoon of tranquil solitude. The trip from Amanpulo’s private lounge and hangar in Manila to the island’s secluded airstrip unfolds over just over an hour. Upon arrival on the island’s shores, an extensive expanse of coral sand beaches stretching over five kilometres adorns the lush landscape, embraced by a jungle-filled heart.

A rhythmic ebb and flow of seven kilometres of coral reef encircle the 85-hectare refuge, a serene sanctuary where a myriad of colourful fish and calm sea turtles harmonise with one’s leisurely aquatic dreams. Amanpulo’s casitas and villas, an architectural symphony envisioned by renowned Filipino architect Francisco Mañosa, either perch gracefully on the hillside or fully embrace the shoreline. Their design, an homage to the traditional homes of the Philippines, showcases vaulted wooden ceilings, elegant stone walls, accents crafted from coconut shells and expansive Cebu marble sanctuaries.

For those whose appreciation of the world’s beauty can’t be satisfied by mere observation from the private al fresco terrace, a slew of water-front options await, such as the effervescent poolside clubhouse, the splendid Aman Spa, a maritime haven for the discerning diver and the relaxed sanctuary of the beach. Noteworthy are the fitness retreat, the allure of sailing on azure waters, engaging in the art of fishing and mastering the back-and-forth rhythm of the tennis court.

Glistening like an ethereal masterpiece, the resort evokes thoughts of a painting from a treasure trove labeled “Tropical Dreamscape”, unfolding as a fusion of cerulean oceans, powdery strands of shoreline and a rhythmic sway of palm fronds. The resort was meticulously crafted to showcase the island’s pristine wilderness, orchestrating a symphony of harmony where the sleek structures, polished and poised, seamlessly meld with their untamed backdrop. Scattered like stardust, these retreats are so artfully spaced that even when hosting a group of guests, the feeling of an island nestled in splendid isolation pervades the atmosphere.

Pamalican, a small islet cradled within the folds of the Cuyo archipelago in the arms of the Sulu Sea, bears witness to the splendid paradise that is Amanpulo. Though it appears secluded from civilisation, a twice-daily connection between the resort’s private 15-seater aircraft and the bustling heart of Manila bridges them in just over an hour. From the moment one steps onto the resort’s private airstrip, a fragrant garland of blooms and a refreshing touch of linen offer a warm welcome, all provided by a personal assistant. This guardian of comfort takes on the role of a guiding hand, arranging activities, weaving the threads of dinner plans and attending to every other desire during the stay. As expected from an Aman retreat, the nearly 400-strong staff echo this commitment to service, often exuding a proactive ethos coupled with an uncanny familiarity with each guest’s name and preferences.

An interlude within this haven unfolds as a tableau of options, each more enchanting than the last. Tennis courts beckon the sporty, diving expeditions await the adventurous and waterborne escapades provide a playground for aquatic enthusiasts. For those yearning for serenity, a hilltop sanctuary for yoga offering panoramic vistas extends an invitation. Alternatively, the spacious embrace of the Club House pool and the leisurely lounges within the Beach Club offer sanctuaries where time can drift away like a leisurely ballad.

Within the embrace of Pamalican, the unparalleled gem of the Philippines gleams in lavish splendour. Amanpulo, a revered jewel according to local Filipino tales, unveils nearly four miles of sand of powdered sugar-like softness, a pristine hue defying conventional description, and a crystalline lagoon mirroring the tranquil calmness of a serene pool for much of the year. Wrapped in an air of exclusive mystery, it has beckoned luminaries to bare their souls within its embrace, for it is here that the allure of seclusion finds its most exquisite form.

Time follows one’s preferences, a symphony of possibilities. Diving entices, sea turtles glide through the ballet of snorkeling, fishing expeditions encourage communion with the depths and sails unfurl to meet the horizon’s edge. Amidst these exhilarations, an adventure to a nearby village, a voyage via seaplane or a helicopter to a South Sea pearl haven awaits. Even in the pursuit of sustenance, guests can personally harvest ingredients from the organic garden, curating elements for a meal that reflects their inner essence.

Asia Global Yachting is shaking up the luxury charter scene in Phuket by launching a ‘Classic Line’ of boats dating back to the 1950s. The initial four-strong range of charter CAs includes stylish motor and sailing yachts ranging from 50ft to over 100ft, offering from two cabins to six suites, and hailing from Europe, Australia and Asia.

Chartering from US$14,000 a day, Camara C accommodates up to 12 guests in six interestingly arranged cabins including a full-beam master suite forward on the main deck.

 

On the lower deck, the five all-white en-suite cabins include a double and twin forward, while aft of the engine room are two symmetrical doubles plus a VIP with twin queen-sized beds in the stern. There’s also accommodation for six crew in the bow.

The main deck offers cosy alfresco dining in a covered, rounded aft cockpit. The interior starts with a long, gorgeously furnished saloon with sofas on three sides and a dining table forward, followed by a large galley. The foredeck is a working area with a crane and space to store water toys, which include diving, fishing and snorkelling equipment, kayaks and a paddleboard, as well as a tender.

 

The flybridge is one of the most popular areas for guests, offering lots of clear deck space, a large deck-level sunbathing and lounging area aft, and a covered dining table midships just aft of the bridge.

For a change of tack, there’s Aventure, the only sailing yacht in the Classic Line, but what a sailing yacht she is, with a strong track record of racing and chartering across Southeast Asia including in Myanmar’s Mergui Archipelago.

 

A beautiful 95ft wooden ketch with a vintage style belying her relatively recent construction, she features a traditional design by Patrick Balta. The only 21st-century build in this feature, she was built of ironwood and mahogany in Sulawesi from 2007 before being outfitted and finished at the Ratanachai Shipyard in Phuket from 2011-13.

Mami Wata’s low-slung design includes an open upper deck that has a helm station with windshield, facing sofas, coffee table and loose chairs aft, while forward and down half a level is the saloon, which includes the lower helm and its classic ship’s wheel.

 

Like Mami Wata, the 90ft Maha Bhetra is owned by Asia Global Yachting and is well established in Phuket as a popular charter yacht. Delivered in 1994, Maha Bhetra is built of hardwood with teak flooring and welcomes guests on the main deck, which features three elegant full-width staterooms decorated with Southeast Asian antiques from the 18th century. In the bow is a cosy outdoor bench and table.

Commissioned by the Timken family and named after The Firebird ballet by Stravinsky, the 84ft ketch was the world’s largest aluminium sailboat when she was launched in the US at the Palmer Johnson shipyard in Wisconsin.

 

In her 65 years afloat, she has circumnavigated the globe three times including voyages to the Antarctic and Arctic regions, and even became the subject of an eponymous novel in 2020. She spent the last part of the 20th century in the Virgin Islands before moving to Australia in 2009 and undergoing a US$1 million-plus refit.

Firebird’s current home is in Phuket, where she was beautifully reappointed in golden Burmese teak by Teak Timber. The new-look interior offers an elegant, 1960s feel and there’s even a daybed in the saloon, while a wood-burning stove is provided for cruising in the higher latitudes. There are three guest cabins, including a master with a private staircase.

After being sold to the current owners, an architect and interior designer, Thea underwent a 2012-14 rebuild that included a 2m extension of her wooden hull, which boasts an exceptional thickness of 4.8cm throughout.

 

This year, she completed another extensive refit, this time in Satun province in southern Thailand. Powered by twin Caterpillar 3408 engines, Thea can reach 13 knots and cruises at 10 knots, while her 21,000-litre fuel capacity ensures impressive range.

The main deck includes a roomy aft cockpit, large saloon, separate dining area forward and a galley with a swing hatch to the dining room and dumb waiter to the wheelhouse on the flybridge. The flybridge also includes an aft-facing stateroom with panoramic views and private aft deck, plus two cranes and tender storage.

 

The lower deck includes the master stateroom aft and two more en-suite guest cabins, as well as accommodation for three crew in a captain’s cabin and bunk cabin. Thea is currently in Langkawi but could relocate to Phuket in November.

“Kampong spirit” has long been a part of Singapore’s history, stemming from the period before Dutch and Portuguese traders landed on the island’s shores. Kampong translates to “village” in Bahasa Melayu, Singapore’s national language as well as one of the oldest known and most commonly spoken language native to the Malay archipelago. Kampong spirit is a resultant cultural collocation coined to describe positive communal attitude and solidarity between a multi-ethnocultural people, though a common consensus has formed amongst Singaporeans in recent times that kampong spirit has been slowly chipped away at, mostly owing to how the island city experienced a rapid restructuring of its social compact when it skyrocketed from small fishing port under colonial rule to its current standing as one of Asia’s most developed economies in just 58 years since its independence.

The story of the island’s humble beginnings as village fishing and trading port may be common knowledge, but less is known about the way of life native islanders shared with each other further along its busy shores.

 

What did community life look like on the island before the rapid growth and blooming of the city-state known as Singapore, and what does a meaningful interaction between its past and present look like? That is precisely what the Oval Partnership sought to investigate in the Lost Cities exhibition.

A collaboration with several research groups from local universities Singapore Management University and Singapore Institute of Technology, the exhibition is a purposeful stray-away from past nostalgia-inciting replicas of village settlements in pre-colonial Singapore. Instead, the display was designed to uncover forgotten experiences of pre-colonial urbanism in Asia through a past-meets-present perspective. Guided by exploratory social research trips to satellite islands Pulau Ubin and Lorong Buangkok — the two earliest and last known village settlements of pre-colonial Singapore — the Oval Partnership and its collaborative researchers took to local communities to document and collect first-hand accounts of kampong life in the 21st century, a rare gem of a culture most Singaporeans consider extinct.“This event recreates the experience of a bygone age and enables attendees to explore how life was lived then,” shares Mr Chris Law, Founding Director of The Oval Partnership and visionary behind the exhibition. “Now we have a clearer sight of where we came from and how we were shaped. It deepens our understanding of the giants whose shoulders we stand on so we can build a better world for the generations that come after us.”

An experiential exhibition with three key zones each guided by a reinterpretation of kampong life, the Lost Cities exhibition takes one on a time-travelling journey to a 14th century kampong through the contemporary lens of three key themes: heritage, sustainability and community. The meticulously detailed exhibition explores the world of a fictionalised kampong lead by female village chief, Esah, and how she leads her thriving community to co-exist harmoniously with nature through cultural practices rooted in equality, most of which might even be considered as progressive today.

 

Visitors of the exhibition can expect both a refreshing perspective of Singapore’s history as well as an admirable display of sustainably sourced exhibit materials, such as locally sourced wood from ethical carpenters and non-profit conservation-advocacy organisations. From interactive displays to creative experiences rooted in historical kampong practices, the exhibition promises an engaging and unforgettable journey through the Lion City reimagined.

 

In addition to the research-driven exhibition, the Oval Partnership has also tapped into the talents of three multidisciplinary artists, Gilles MassotMarc Nair and Zen Teh, who have contributed their take on art inspired and honouring Singapore’s kampong heritage.

 

An immersive experience through time, the Lost Cities exhibition will take place from 18 August to 1 October in Fort Canning Centre for members of the public to journey through Singapore’s first kampong cities and dive into a third space synchronously connecting past and present.
