Multihull Solutions to host APAC premieres at Sanctuary Cove

Multihull Solutions will exhibit new Fountaine Pajot catamarans and a new Neel trimaran at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in May.

“Multihull Solutions is preparing to stage the Asia-Pacific premieres of Fountaine Pajot’s Isla 40 catamaran and MY4.S powercat as well as the Neel 43 trimaran at the 2022 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show. Headquartered in Australia, the multihull distributor will also be showing an ILIAD 50 at the show, which is scheduled for May 19-22.

Several units of the Isla 40 sailing catamaran (Review, Issue 64) have been delivered to the Asia-Pacific, but the May show will be the first time Fountaine Pajot’s new entry-level sail cat will be seen at a major public event in the APAC region.

Larger than its predecessor, the Lucia 40, and having a class-leading sail-to-weight ratio of 10.3, the 12m catamaran features reversed bows and an innovative saloon where the navigation wall is accessible from the entrance, creating additional space in the saloon for a relaxing day bed and added storage. The yacht has the option of three or four double cabins plus a crew cabin if required.

Fountaine Pajot MY4.S

Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts’ new MY4.S recently arrived in Australia and is available for immediate sale. The luminous saloon is bathed in natural light and features a sunroof and expansive opening to the alfresco cockpit, where guests can recline in a dedicated sunbathing area and enjoy easy sea access with the rear platform. Accommodation includes a voluminous owner’s suite.

The Neel 43 that will be on display at Sanctuary Cove is the first to arrive in Australia and is also available for immediate sale. The model has been nominated in multiple awards: British Yachting Awards 2021, Sail Best Boat of the Year 2022, European Yacht of the Year 2022 and Multihull of the Year 2022, with the latter announcing winners at the International Multihull Show from April 20-24.

Neel 43

The Neel 43 follows the 47, 51 and 65 models, which between them have won numerous industry awards and multiple ARC Trans-Atlantic races. Neel Trimarans has launched 13 units of the Neel 43 and has at least 20 on forward order.

The model breaks the mould by incorporating a loft-style interior and construction that utilises eco-sustainable products and processes, and delivers great speeds while offering stability and comfort in challenging conditions.

ILIAD 50

The ILIAD 50 on display at Sanctuary Cove will be a new model featuring a host of upgrades and it sets the stage for the arrival of the first ILIAD 60 into Australia later this year. Founded in 2019, ILIAD Catamarans has already sold 14 models to Australian buyers.

Multihull Solutions will have specialists on its stand at the Sanctuary Cove show to assist with all enquiries across its range. It will also be showcasing an extensive range of pre-owned power and sail catamarans for sale at its adjacent Gold Coast Sales Centre at The Boat Works.

Palm Beach show attracts strong in-water line-up

Many of the world’s leading yacht builders are participating at this year’s Palm Beach International Boat Show in Florida.

Benetti is exhibiting the 47m Bachanal (2019) at this year’s Palm Beach International Boat Show (March 24-27), which will feature other superyachts by the Italian builder displayed by different exhibitors. Other Benettis in the provisional line-up of yachts include the 63m 11.11 (2015), 52m Vianne (1995), 44m Barbetta (2009) and 40m Emina (2014).

Rosetti Superyachts is showing the RSY 38m EXP Emocean after its debut at last year’s Cannes Yachting Festival, while other superyachts on show include the 49 Rossinavi Eiv (2020) and the 47m Heesen Odyssea (2012).

Ferretti Group is showing a Custom Line Navetta 37, Ferretti Yachts 500 and 670 models, a Dolceriva (48ft) and Rivale (56ft) by Riva, a Pershing 8X, and wallytender43X and 48X models.

Sanlorenzo Americas is showing an SL86, SX88 and SD96, as well as a Bluegame BGX70, while Sunseeker’s US distributor OneWater is staging the world premiere of the Predator 65 alongside a Predator 55 EVO™, 65 Sport Yacht and Manhattan 68.

OneWater represents multiple brands in the US and will also be showing a Navetta 52 and Navetta 73 from Italy’s Absolute along with 6000 and 5400 Sport Yacht models from Australia’s Riviera.

Azimuts on display include a 68 Fly, Verve 47 and an S6, while its US dealer MarineMax will also show a Galeon 400 Fly and Aquila’s 28 Molokai, 32 Sport and 54 Yacht powercats.

Princess Yachts America is showing a F55, S62, Y72 and Y78, while other models on display include the Fairline Squadron 68, Prestige 420, 520 and 590, and the Beneteau Swift Trawler 48 after its US debut at last month’s Miami International Boat Show.

CL Yachts will be showing is CLB88 and CLB72, while also promoting its upcoming CLB65 and its newly launched flagship CLX96.

Fraser, Burgess, Camper & Nicholsons and Denison are among international superyacht brokers taking part in the show.

Dubai Harbour welcomed Azimut, Ferretti Group, Sanlorenzo, Princess and Gulf Craft models as it hosted the Dubai International Boat Show for the first time.

The Dubai International Boat Show was held for the first time at Dubai Harbour, where the Superyacht Avenue played host to booths by megayacht builders such as Lurssen, Amels and Damen, Oceanco and Feadship.

Gulf Craft’s Majesty 120 (37m) was among the largest boats on display at Dubai Harbour, which has 700 berths and is the largest marina in the Middle East, able to accommodate megayachts up to 160m.

In Superyacht Avenue, Italy’s Ferretti Group staged the regional debut of the Custom Line Navetta 30 (28.4m) as well as a Riva 100’ Corsaro (30m) and the powerful Pershing 8X (25.5m) and 9X (28.1m) motor yachts.

Alessandro Tirelli, Ferretti Group’s Sales & Marketing Director Serial Business, said: “It is so significant for Dubai International Boat Show to have a dedicated superyacht space and the facilities here are stunning. It is important not just for the exhibitors but also the public to have somewhere we can display our collection. In the future, we cannot wait to bring even bigger yachts.”

Azimut displayed a Grande 32 Metri (105ft), Grande 27 Metri (88ft), an S8 (24.6m) and a 78 Fly (24.1m) in cooperation with Seas & Deserts, its Gulf dealer. Fellow Italian builder Sanlorenzo displayed the SX88 (26.7m), the pioneer of its crossover series that has since been joined by the SX76 and SX112.

“It’s good to be back and the new location at Dubai Harbour is beautiful,” said Luca Cristino, Sanlorenzo’s Vice President Sales & Marketing. “The Middle East market is growing massively, not only for local customers but for also for international buyers, and it also continues to draw a broader international audience.”

British builder Princess Yachts showed a Y85 (26.2m) as well as F50, F55 and F62 flybridge motor yachts, the powerful S62 sportbridge model and the V60 cruiser. Sunreef was planning to stage the world premiere of the Sunreef 80 Eco, but the sailing catamaran was unable to make it to the show in time due to a shipping delay.

According to show organiser Dubai World Trade Centre, the MENA region boasts the world’s second-highest fleet-to-billionaire ratio, while Dubai’s maritime sector accounts for AED26.9 billion (US$7.3 billion) or about 7 per cent of its GDP.

The 2022 Dubai International Boat Show was the first edition since 2019 and was held from Wednesday-Sunday, March 9-13, overlapping with the final period of the Expo 2020 (October 1, 2021 – March 31, 2022).

The first Silent 60 with a saloon door to the foredeck has been launched by PMG Shipyard in Rayong, one of the production facilities for the Silent 60 series.

The first Silent 60 Front Exit has been launched by the PMG Shipyard (Shipyard, Issue 61) in Rayong, Thailand, before delivery to its owner in Florida. PMG is among facilities in Thailand, Italy and Turkey that produce boats for Austrian-owned Silent-Yachts, a leader in solar-electric catamarans.

The original Silent 60 (Review, Issue 63), also built by PMG and launched last year, is a Front Master version and features a full-beam owner’s suite forward of and set slightly below the saloon.

The Front Exit version provides direct access from the interior through a forward saloon door to the foredeck, which features an open-air lounge with enough room for up to six people. The forward door also increases air circulation through the saloon.

The yacht is fitted with twin 250kW electric motors, a 150kW generator and a 225kWh lithium-ion battery bank. The hulls feature features four cabins including a large master cabin with a window-facing bed and a private lounge with L-shaped sofa. The interior features a bright, warm décor, while another Silent 60 Front Exit with a darker décor will be launched soon.

All future Silent 60 models will feature a raised main deck and a flush saloon floor, a design that also increases the ceiling heights on the lower deck, as well as the storage space under the cockpit.

British builder Princess Yachts shows six yachts at the Dubai International Boat Show, ranging from the F50 to the Y85 and including the 38-knot S62.

Princess Yachts is exhibiting six yachts at the Dubai International Boat (March 9-13), which is being held at Dubai Harbour for the first time. Headed by the Y85 from the Yacht range, the Princess line-up at stand MD-30 also includes F50, F55 and F62 flybridge motor yachts, the powerful S62 sportbridge model and the V60 cruiser.

Sales of Princess yachts in the Middle East have tripled over the last 12 months compared to the previous year, with a significant trend towards the larger boats in the range. Ahead of the Dubai show, there was a strong order book with a significant number of customer boats under construction, while the first X95 for the region is aboard a ship bound for the UAE.

Gulf Craft announced that it’s developing the Majesty 111 as it outlined developments at a press conference on the opening day of the Dubai International Boat Show, being held at Dubai Harbour for the first time.

The Majesty 111 will fit between the Majesty 100, Gulf Craft’s best-selling superyacht, and the new Majesty 120, its largest yacht on display at the five-day show as the UAE builder celebrates its 40th anniversary since being founded in 1982.

Mohamed Alshaali, co-founder and Chairman of Gulf Craft, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary, made the announcement as he shared the stage with Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of Dubai Sports Council, Abdulla Binhabtoor of Dubai Harbour developer Shamal and Trixie LohMirmand, Executive Vice President of Events Management at Dubai World Trade Centre, the show organiser.

The Majesty 120 is Gulf Craft’s biggest yacht on display

Gulf Craft, which last year delivered its flagship Majesty 175, again has the largest display at the Dubai show, exhibiting a selection of yachts ranging from 34-120ft across its Majesty, Nomad, Oryx and Silvercraft brands.

The display includes the world premieres of the Nomad 70 SUV and Silvercat 40cc. The Nomad 70 SUV has a top speed of 30 knots with twin 1,200hp MAN engines and builds on the 65 SUV and 75 SUV models in a long-range series headed by the 95 SUV, also on display at Dubai Harbour.

The Silvercat 40cc follows the Silvercat 34cc and offers a larger, 7.9-tonne power catamaran with a draft of just 0.43m (1ft 5in) that can accommodate 12 people on board, with options of either two 400hp or four 300hp outboard engines.

Earlier this year, Gulf Craft kicked off its 40th anniversary celebrations by opening the Gulf Craft Experience Centre, a new luxury hub in Dubai’s Port Rashid designed to bring the brand closer to its international clientele. The builder operates a 462,000sqft production facility in Umm Al Quwain and a service centre in Ajman, as well as a 100,000sqft facility in the Maldives.

The Italian superyacht builder delivered the 214-footer to a passionate collector whose interests include motorcycles and photography.

Benetti has shared more details about its 65m Triumph, built for an owner whose passions include Triumph motorcycles, with one even installed on the upper deck. The owner, who plans to spend long periods on board with family and friends, is a notable collector and Triumph also features a specially lit gallery of photographs by renowned artists.

Built on a proven platform, the yacht features five enclosed decks plus a sundeck and integrates ‘box-in-box’ construction technology for almost all the living areas to reduce noise and vibrations. The 214-footer has a range of over 4,700 miles at 12 knots and accommodation for 12 guests and 15 crew.

Triumph has six decks

The sleek exterior is by Cassetta Yacht Designers, while Benetti’s style department worked with the client on the layout, choice of materials, decor and furniture.

The owner chose Green & Mingarelli Design to handle the decorative aspects, with Triumph using exclusive materials like glass by Lalique, marble and fur, alongside elements of green design. Other materials include Crema Marfil, Statuary and Amani marble, and loom-woven silk and wool carpets.

Saloon on the main deck

The indoor and outdoor dining tables were designed specifically for Triumph. All the outdoor furniture is made of stainless steel, elegantly detailed with special corded rope producing an effect in line with the yacht’s contemporary style.

In terms of layout, the main deck features a generous lounge followed by a dining area that doubles up as a movie theatre, while there’s also a full-beam VIP suite.

A beautifully designed lobby

The upper deck has a spacious exterior dining area, complete with an American bar and a panoramic lounge that can also be used as a touch-and-go helipad if needed. There’s also a 1,400sqft (130sqm) master suite with an adjoining study/lounge and spacious outdoor terrace.

The bridge deck has an air-conditioned gym with 2.4m of headroom and a huge, lightweight , while the sundeck has lounge areas and a Jacuzzi.

The lower deck has a 750sqft (70sqm) beach area, two large garages plus guest and crew accommodation, while there’s also a tank deck.

Fraser Asia has sold the Thailand-based Sunseeker 86 Yacht Maxxx, with Fraser Australia representing the buyer. Phuket-based Benjamin Tabuteau and Hong Kong-based Eric Noyel from Fraser Asia represented the seller of the 26.4m (86ft 7in) flybridge motor yacht, while Peter Redford and Eugenio Cannarsa from Fraser Australia represented the buyer.

“A special thanks to the Asia Pacific Fraser team for their support in concluding the sale of Maxxx, my first for this year,” said Tabuteau. “We’re looking forward to continued collaborations together.”

The Sunseeker 86 Yacht has a jacuzzi and jetski on the flybridge

Built in 2009 and refurbished in 2018, Maxxx has twin CAT engines, cruising and top speeds of 20 and 28 knots respectively, 8,500 litres of fuel and a range of 800nm.

Maxxx is distinguished by the option of a jacuzzi on the flybridge as well as a crane that allows a jetski to be stored on the top deck. The aft cockpit is fitted out for al fresco dining and has a wet bar, while the soft refit in 2018 included new outdoor upholstery and a large, comfortable interior with a new ceiling lining and re-lacquered wood.

The yacht can accommodate eight guests in four staterooms consisting of a master suite midships, a forward VIP suite and two twins that can be converted into doubles, all with large windows and en-suite bathroom facilities.

The Italian builder has confirmed it will exhibit four yachts, including two Grande superyachts, at the Dubai International Boat Show.

Azimut Yachts is displaying four models ranging from 78-105ft at the Dubai International Boat Show, which is being held for the first time at Dubai Harbour (March 9-13). The Italian builder is showing a 78 Fly, an S8, Grande 27 Metri and Grande 32 Metri in cooperation with Seas & Deserts, its Gulf dealer.

The 27 Metri (88ft) and 32 Metri (105ft) from Azimut’s flagship Grande Collection of superyachts both feature exterior design by the late Stefano Righini and interiors by Achille Salvagni.

The Azimut 78, which debuted at the 2019 Cannes Yachting Festival, also features interiors by Salvagni and is the first model in the Flybridge Collection with an exterior by Alberto Mancini. Another premiere at Cannes in 2019, the S8 (81ft) from the sportbridge range features a Mancini exterior along with a Francesco Guida interior.

Azimut recently announced growth of 47 per cent in three years in the Middle East, which now accounts for 25 per cent of the company’s sales and more than half of the 15 sales of the Grande Trideck, the brand’s 38m flagship launched last year.

Ferretti Group will showcase a Riva 100’ Corsaro, Pershing 8X and 9X, and the Gulf premiere of the Custom Line Navetta 30 at this year’s Dubai International Boat Show. The five-day show will be held from March 9-13 at Dubai Harbour, the largest marina in the Middle East and North Africa.

The 100’ Corsaro sits at the heart of Riva’s Flybridge range and had its world debut in Hong Kong in 2017. The 8X and 9X are the two biggest models in Pershing’s X Generation, a five-model series that starts with the 5X and was ‘concluded’ with the release of the 6X last year.

However, the Navetta 30 will be among the show highlights as the yacht makes its debut in the region, having sold well into Asia since her world premiere in late 2020 as the successor of the Navetta 28.

Ferretti Group is attending the show’s 28th edition show in partnership with Ocean360, the exclusive dealer for Ferretti Yachts, Pershing, Riva and Itama in the UAE and Oman. Other Group partners at the event are Seabob, Dolce & Gabbana (official staff uniforms) and Slam (crew uniforms).

Meanwhile, Riva is appearing in stunning black-and-white images in the film Saper Fare, by Oscar-winning director Gabriele Salvatore, which tells the story of Italian-made excellence. The film is being screened in the Italy Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, an event that has already welcomed 15 million visitors and still has a month to run.
