Ulysse Nardin’s Diver Air introducing a 52 g skeletonised titanium dive watch, the world’s lightest mechanical model.

Ulysse Nardin Watches

In the previous two editions of Watches and Wonders Geneva (WWG), Ulysse Nardin brought just one watch to the party. That watch was the Freak, in various forms, and the idea was to focus the world’s attention on just the one watch. In the case of the Freak, this made a lot of sense, and we told the top brass at Ulysse Nardin so; the Freak needs time to grow on a collector and the model should be far more successful than it is. This year, Ulysse Nardin switches gears with the watch models but it maintains the ‘one watch at a time,’ strategy. The Ulysse Nardin Diver Air, or as the brand has it Diver (Air) is basically the brand’s take on a skeletonised diver’s watch, paired with ultra-light materials, resulting in a record-breaking, world’s lightest mechanical dive watch.

This perhaps is a thrilling space for Ulysse Nardin to play in because usually records broken when it comes to diving watches always relate to depth; nobody is even looking at weight. Additionally, the contrast between the chunkiness of a dive watch versus the Diver Air’s supreme lightness is sure to surprise anyone who picks it up. And perhaps the third reason this is good for Ulysse Nardin is that alongside its Freak series, the diver collection tends to fall to the wayside and this new watch is the talking point the collection needs.

Ulysse Nardin Orange Watch

At just 52g in weight, this thing is just ultralight. The brand spared no expense to cut weight for the watch, incorporating titanium not just in the case but in the components of the movement as well. We were even told that the fabric strap paired with the watch was a result of a collaboration between Ulysse Nardin and suppliers who make lightweight wear for top-level athletes.

The most obvious way they have cut all that mass is by skeletonizing the movement to an insane degree. Bridges are cut to the bare minimum and even then hollowed out to reduce weight. The result is the space inside the watch consisting of 80% air and only 20% material. Now the last question to ask is that at 52g, will its weight completely disappear underwater considering the amount of air and its buoyant nature?

Andy Toh, DCH Marine’s Singapore Country Manager, explains how the company is developing in the Lion City and other Southeast Asia markets.

Andy Toh, Singapore Country Manager, DCH Marine

DCH Marine is a growing Hong Kong-based, Asia-Pacific yacht services business which regionally distributes the Sunseeker, Saxdor and Willams Jet Tenders brands. Singapore Country Manager Andy Toh spoke to Andrew Dembina about the company’s expansion, with recent highlights including hosting VIPs on a Sunseeker Manhattan 68 at a privileged berth during the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix.

Andy, what has been your focus since DCH Marine opened its Singapore office in June 2024?

As Country Manager, my responsibility is primarily to take care of and manage the Singapore office, and to also work on sales of both new and brokerage boats. Singapore is near Malaysia and Indonesia, where we expect more marinas will be opening soon, so I’m also taking care of these markets. Vietnam is another market, and is growing slowly.

Sunseeker Manhattan 68

However, our focus remains on Singapore because we manage parts of our Southeast Asia business through this office. As a yacht hub, we have all the after-sales tech and logistics situated locally.

Previously, I worked in marine components sales in Singapore including for the distributor of Swedish OXE outboard engines, and for the company selling US-made Seakeeper stabilisers.

Sunseeker 90 Ocean

What are DCH Marine’s plans for adding to its offices in Asia-Pacific?

Singapore was the first office outside of Hong Kong, and not within the Hong Kong and China market. We have offices due to open soon in Thailand and coming up after that in Australia. The Thailand operation that we’re setting up now will be in Phuket and will be run by my colleague Danny Zheng as the Thailand Country Manager.

Danny Zheng, Thailand Country Manager, DCH Marine

Across the region, the current yachting market is experiencing a period of steady adjustment since the Covid pandemic’s over-supply of yachts. But after-sales services are going well, which is very important for us and owners, and we are now seeing some light at the end of the tunnel.

Sunseeker 90 Ocean saloon

DCH Marine presented the Asia-Pacific premiere of the Sunseeker 90 Ocean at Singapore Yachting Festival 2025 and will do likewise in Hong Kong with the 90 Ocean Enclosed at this year’s Lantau Yacht Club Boat Show – Festa Nautica (October 17-19). How do these models suit regional owners?

These 90-footers have generated a lot of interest in our market – they are totally different boats. They not only have the capability of long range but are also spacious and luxurious. In terms of volume and deck space, they’re comparable with 100ft-plus yachts. The enclosed-flybridge version has caught a lot of interest because in our region’s tropical climates, some owners want full air-conditioning.

Sunseeker Manhattan 68 saloon

What are the attractions of the Sunseeker Manhattan 68 in your inventory?

It has the same key factors as the upgraded Manhattan 68 (2025) in terms of performance and luxury. Its Asia-Pacific layout has three cabins, instead of the four that are standard. This allows for a very large, luxurious master suite with separate study and lounge areas. Also, there’s one staircase to the lower deck, rather than the standard two, which allows more social space in the saloon.

Having embarked on sea trials, the 120m Project Tanzanite is on course for delivery in 2026, with over 1,000 workers involved in the yacht’s completion.

The Amels 120 Full Custom, Project Tanzanite, remains on course for a 2026 delivery following a successful start to its sea trials from its project base at Damen Yachting’s Vlissingen shipyard in southwest Netherlands.

Over the coming year, more than 1,000 workers, from both Damen Yachting and its supply network, will be involved in the final stage of outfitting of the 120m, 6,083GT superyacht. The 394-footer is the biggest build to date by Amels and Damen Yachting, the yachting division of the Damen Shipyards Group conglomerate.

Featuring naval architecture by Damen Yachting, Project Tanzanite started construction in 2020 in Romania, where the hull was built at the company’s facility in Galati and launched in May 2023, before being relocated to Vlissingen the following month.

In September 2025, the superyacht was floated at the Vlissingen shipyard ahead of the first sea trials this month. The yacht’s owner is represented by Deeside Maritime, which has managed the build and construction of the over the past two years and will continue in its role during through the final phase.

Project Tanzanite is an Amels Full Custom with exterior design by Espen Øino, who has also designed the Amels 60 and Amels 80 from the Dutch builder’s popular Limited Edition series.

Project Tanzanite easily surpasses the length of Amels’ previous flagship, Here Comes The Sun, which was 83m upon delivery in 2017 and extended to 89m following a major refit in the Vlissingen shipyard that was completed in 2021.

The superyacht builder has unveiled designs for the GX38 Voyager, an ice-class aluminium explorer yacht designed by Marco Casali.

GX Superyachts has released designs for the GX38 Voyager, an explorer yacht project. The concept for the 38m hybrid motoryacht was designed at the specific request of a client, and marks the brand’s move towards creating eco-friendly yachts that can also undertake adventurous, long-distance voyages.

Vladimir Zinchenko, founder of GX Superyachts, said: “GX Superyachts is delighted to have unveiled the GX38 Voyager, which is the fruit of months of work with a very motivated client. It extends our unique commitment to responsible yachting into the adventure sector for the first time, with a yacht equally capable of heading to high latitudes or remote areas – all in exceptional comfort.”

The exterior and interiors have been penned by Marco Casali, who has also designed the GX42, which is due for delivery in summer 2026, and the GX34 hybrid yacht.

Casali explained that the designs for the GX38 Voyager began “from the assumption that guests would want to spend extended periods on board to reach remote cruising grounds”. Key features include generous tankage, food storage and lots of space for belongings ranging from clothing to water toys.

The GX38 Voyager will feature an ice-class aluminium hull available with either a ‘traditional’ shape with an 8.2m beam or an ‘ultra-wide’ 9m beam. The hull shape is designed to provide greater interior volume towards the bow and a lengthened aft deck, which features fold-out sides and can carry water toys.

The yacht will be powered by a hybrid propulsion system that reduces carbon emissions by 30 per cent compared to conventual diesel engines, while still being able to achieve a top speed of 16 knots and a globetrotting cruising range of 10,000nm at six knots in hybrid navigation mode.

A flexible interior will offer five or six en-suite cabins, with the owner’s suite and private deck situated on the main deck, while there will also be accommodation for up to seven crew.

Owners will be able to completely customise the interior, with optional features including an eagle’s nest for optimum views, an enclosed sundeck saloon for 360-degree vistas even in extreme weather conditions, a cosy foredeck lounge with a firepit, and a spacious aft deck with room for a jacuzzi and adventure toys such as submersibles and land vehicles.

Axopar 38 to debut at Boot 2026

The Finnish brand has released details of its first Axopar 38 model, which will debut indoors at the Boot Düsseldorf show in January.

Following the success of the Axopar 37, the brand’s best-selling model in 2024, Axopar has released details of its 38, which will debut in its Cross Cabin version at the Boot Düsseldorf indoor show from January 17-25, 2026. The Axopar 38 will later be available in Sun Top, Cross Top and CCX (centre console) versions.

Building on the Finnish brand’s signature ‘adventure boat’ style, the new 38ft model is described by Jan-Erik Viitala, Axopar’s Founding Partner, as “our biggest investment and the most passionate development in our history”.

“On the Axopar 38 we’ve introduced new innovations and features never seen on an Axopar before. At the same time, we have fine-tuned the already world-class drivability found on the 37 without compromising it in any way,” Viitala continued. “The 38 carries the same unmistakable Axopar feeling, now with even more versatility, more comfort and more possibilities than ever before.”

Motoryacht, dayboat, yacht, speedboat, Axopar, Axopar 37, Axopar 38 XC, BOOT Düsseldorf 2026

Constructed in GRP at the brand’s facilities in Poland, the Axopar 38 has an overall length of 11.84m, a beam of 3.56m and an overall weight of 6,380kg. Featuring a 22-degree sharp-entry hull and two 350hp outboard engines, the Axopar 38 is expected to have a top speed of over 45 knots.

A total of 14 guests can be hosted on board during the day, while owners are able to include up to five berths in their chosen layout.

Modularity is again key to the design, with owners given a multitude of options to customise the boat’s layout to their lifestyle. Aft, optional folding platforms can further increase the deck space, with modular fender boxes doubling as either bench seats or a wet bar.

The main socialising space in the wheelhouse has been reimagined, with the lounge offering seating and a dining table for up to six guests. Options include a port-side bar cabinet and an electric table that can convert into a bed to accommodate additional overnight guests.

The forward cabin has been redesigned with increased headroom and a combined sofa and bed setup for flexibility. Design options include adding an en-suite bathroom or a kitchen module for longer voyages.

In the bow, owners can choose from a multitude of layouts, including a U-shaped sofa that converts into a sunbed.

Camper & Nicholsons is powering a new era of superyachting in Asia with one of the region’s strongest sales fleets. The company represents more than 20 superyachts over 24m, with a combined value above €200 million, a line-up that highlights both the growth of the market and the brokerage house’s expanding footprint across the continent.

Since 2023, the company has opened a second office in Singapore and strengthened its team of brokers, building on decades of heritage to offer expertise in new build, brokerage, charter and yacht management. Following are selections from its brokerage fleet for sale.

Solafide

52.00m (170ft 6in) | Benetti | 1995 (2024)

6 cabins | 12 guests | 12 crew

Eight months of work by nearly 100 craftsmen has brought Solafide, a mid-1990s Benetti, firmly into the present day.

Under the eye of Italian designer Tommaso Spadolini, her familiar profile gained graphite accents and stainless-steel detailing, while her interiors were rethought for modern family life. The changes run deep, from structural alterations on deck to the smallest details in finish and fit.

Once a purely operational space for tender launch and recovery, the aft main deck has been completely reimagined. The drop-down bulwarks still perform their practical role, but with the tenders deployed, the area transforms into a shaded lounge, turning a working deck into a social space in minutes.

The 120sqm teak-laid sundeck carries the same spirit of adaptability. Extended during the refit, it is helicopter-capable, while freestanding furnishings can be cleared in moments, shifting from daytime retreat to evening entertainment space.

Even inside, built-in furniture conceals storage, an extendable dining table accommodates larger gatherings, and seating can be reconfigured for different occasions. The technical works were just as comprehensive, from overhauled main engines to new CMC stabilisers and upgraded systems throughout.

Song of Songs is the first yacht built on the Asteria 139 platform, created by Heysea Yachts in collaboration with VYD Studio. As well as a 42m-plus overall length, she offers 431GT of interior volume and flexible deck spaces suited to both private and charter use. Highlights include a bow lounge with Jacuzzi, a beach club, and an owner’s suite with an aft-facing private terrace.

Her three decks are designed for outdoor living. The swim platform leads to a glass-enclosed beach club with a lounge and bar, while an integrated transformer platform provides easy boarding and water access.

The main deck aft converts from coffee tables to shaded dining, and forward a Portuguese bridge features sunpads and a Jacuzzi. The sundeck offers shaded dining, a bar, barbecue, and open aft space for versatile use.

Light oak joinery, pale fabrics and hammered-metal accents create a calm, contemporary interior. Accommodation is for 12 guests in six cabins, including two master suites. Twin Caterpillar C32 ACERT engines deliver 19 knots and a range of 2,000nm, with zero-speed stabilisers ensuring comfort.

Taku

33.53m (110ft 0in) | Riva | 2024

4 cabins | 8 guests | 5 crew

Since Carlo Riva’s mahogany runabouts first turned heads on the Côte d’Azur, the Riva name has stood for glamour, speed and exceptional Italian craftsmanship. Taku carries that heritage into the superyacht era as a 110’ Dolcevita, translating the brand’s signature style into a modern, high-performance form.

Her silver hull is framed by dark-tinted windows forming a continuous ribbon along the main deck, accented by polished stainless steel details. Inside, walls of glass flood the saloon with light, illuminating high-gloss rosewood and pale grey leathers, materials perfected on Riva’s smaller icons.

A standout feature is the 32sqm multi-purpose space on the main deck, offering exceptional flexibility. It can be tailored to suit an incoming owner, whether as a gym, cinema, games room or lounge, or reinstated as a main-deck owner’s suite. In the present configuration, a full-beam lower-deck cabin serves as the owner’s suite, complemented by two double cabins.

Outdoor areas include a foredeck lounge, a beach club and a flybridge helm, giving both captain and guests the open-air thrill that made Riva famous, with the added advantage of a cruising range suited to more adventurous itineraries.

Silentworld

39.60m (129ft 11in) | Astilleros M. Cies | 2006 (2023)

6 cabins | 12 guests | 7 crew

For nearly two decades, Silentworld has called the Pacific Ocean home, crossing thousands of miles between Southeast Asia, Fiji, Vanuatu, the Cook Islands and even the remote Pitcairn Islands. Built in 2006 with the range and economy for serious passage making, she cruises over 4,000nm on just 145 litres per hour.

Lloyd’s classed, commercial registration and a Thai charter licence give her the flexibility to switch between private expeditions and high-end charter.

A 2023 refit refreshed her interiors without losing the traditional warmth of her walnut joinery. Pale carpets and wide windows lighten the main saloon and dining area, while the skylounge can convert to a cinema or games room.

The master suite is framed by large vertical windows and features a grand marble en-suite bathroom accessed through sliding doors. Two doubles, two twins and a convertible bridge-deck cabin complete the accommodation

Across her decks, she offers a sundeck with a spa pool, barbecue and dining tables beneath awnings, as well as sheltered dining on the bridge deck aft. With rebuilt engines, new teak decks and overhauled systems, Silentworld is a proven, long-legged cruiser ready for her next chapter.

Mirae
32.97m (108ft 2in) | Monte Carlo Yachts | 2023

5 cabins | 12 guests | 5 crew

The only MCY 105 Skylounge, notable for a fully enclosed flybridge, Mirae carries the poise of a far larger yacht. Italian studio Nuvolari Lenard, the design team behind some of the biggest superyachts afloat, shaped her exterior and interior, adding the shipyard’s signature interlocking portholes and a layout that maximises light and space.

Still under her original ownership and in as-new condition, she is equipped for global cruising with tropical-grade air-conditioning, a shore power converter, and Seakeeper stabilisers.

Forward, a bow lounge shifts from morning coffee spot to full dining area, while the aft deck’s indoor-outdoor bar connects the main saloon to the sea. Above, the skylounge terrace houses a full open-air galley with twin barbecues, ideal for hosting on board.

Inside, light woods and aquamarine accents create a bright, beach-house sensibility. Drop-down balconies and wide sliding doors blur the lines between interior and exterior, while the skylit master suite occupies a prime position forward on the main deck. Two VIPs and two convertible twins with Pullmans bring guest capacity to 12.

Mirae offers the rare combination of a proven platform and a one-of-a-kind layout, making her a singular opportunity in the MCY 105 series.

Cape Town hosts new chapter for Africa’s boating industry

SHARE

The first African Boating Conference from October 20-22 will help shine a spotlight on the potential of the continent’s yachting sector, writes Maryanne Edwards in a Column for Yacht Style.

The V&A Waterfront hosts the inaugural African Boating Conference

There is an undeniable energy building in Africa’s marine sector, and it reaches a defining moment with the first African Boating Conference in Cape Town from October 21-22. Originally conceived as a dual showcase along with the Cape Town International Boat Show, the spotlight now falls squarely on the two-day conference.

I’ve had the privilege of working with many stakeholders across the continent, and we’re now seeing a shared vision. From marina developers and OEMs to superyacht captains and tourism strategists, the narrative is shifting. Africa is no longer on the fringe of global boating conversations – it’s taking its place at the centre.

The African Boating Conference presents a dedicated forum to address Africa’s unique challenges and opportunities, allowing the marine sector to place undivided attention on critical issues: infrastructure gaps, barriers to intra-African trade, investment frameworks, and the blue economy’s potential to drive inclusive growth.

SHOWCASING AFRICAN CAPABILITY

A highlight of this year’s conference is the keynote by Theo Loock, CEO of Robertson & Caine, the manufacturer of Leopard catamarans. Few individuals embody the resilience and ingenuity of the South African marine sector as strongly as Theo.

Under his leadership, Leopard has grown into an iconic and a globally respected brand, particularly in Asia, Europe and the US. With production rooted in Cape Town and a legacy of collaboration with The Moorings and Sunsail, Leopard has built more than 3,000 vessels, placing South Africa firmly on the global export map.

But what is especially important about Leopard is the way it represents confidence in African capabilities. As Theo will share, the brand’s success is a result of long-term investment in workforce skills, lean manufacturing and a global mindset, all elements that will be critical if Africa is to scale its marine economy across regions.

ADDRESSING REALITIES, UNLOCKING OPPORTUNITIES

The conference will not shy away from the real challenges Africa faces. Among the most pressing is the issue of trade and import duties that continue to hinder the free movement of vessels, components and marine services between countries on the continent. These tariffs stifle growth, discourage investment and limit Africa’s ability to develop an integrated, competitive marine industry.

Other challenges include limited infrastructure in many coastal and inland regions, and the need for policy frameworks that enable, rather than obstruct, marine tourism and investment. But these hurdles also point to opportunity. With rising costs in established markets, there is increasing interest in relocating manufacturing and refit services to Africa.

Panels will highlight how African shipyards are already proving competitive on a global scale, and how the continent’s natural assets – its coastlines, waterways and workforce – can position Africa as both a source and a destination in the global marine ecosystem.

GROWING THE SUPERYACHT AND CHARTER MARKET

Another area of opportunity is the luxury and expedition yacht market, where we’re seeing growing interest in routes along the east coast of Africa, Indian Ocean crossings, and stops in South Africa on the way to the Mediterranean or Caribbean.

Wes Bartho, the South African captain of the 56m Galileo, believes African destinations – if properly supported by marinas, agents, and government policy – can tap into this high-value segment.

“As a South African and captain of an expedition superyacht that has explored some of the world’s most remarkable destinations, I believe Africa holds enormous untapped potential,” Bartho says.

“From remote coastlines and rich cultures to world-class wildlife and warm hospitality, there’s truly nothing like it. I’d love to see the superyacht industry develop further, as we have something genuinely unique to offer the global cruising community.”

LOOKING FORWARD

If there’s a message I’d like to share through this Column, it’s this: Africa’s boating future is not something to watch – it’s something to join. Whether you’re an OEM looking for production capacity, a charter operator scouting new destinations, or a marina group exploring expansion, Africa is open, evolving and full of promise.

The African Boating Conference now stands as the defining platform – a new era of visibility, collaboration and confidence in Africa’s marine sector.

In the third and final chapter of the World Premieres 2025 feature, Yacht Style highlights the year’s new powercats, sail cats and sailing monohulls.

POWERCATS

Aquila has had another dynamic year. At the Miami International Boat Show, it introduced the new Coupe series by debuting both the 42 and 46 models, offering bigger cruiser-style powercats to complement the 32 and 36 Sport models. At Cannes, it debuted the 46 Yacht, the latest addition to its inboard line of flybridge models and effectively a ‘little sister’ to the 50 Yacht unveiled in late 2024.

The 46 Yacht has been designed for long-range cruising and has CE Category A ocean certification. In the standard configuration, the yacht is powered by twin 320hp Volvo Penta D4 engines, while options include a full-beam master suite forward.

Prestige’s M7, a Cannes premiere, is the third model in an M-Line focused on ‘taller, thinner’ architecture than many sailing cat builders also producing powercats. With a 59ft LOA, the M7 is currently the ‘middle’ offering between the M48 and the 65ft flagship M8, and more reminiscent of her big sister.

A three-tier aft deck is offered with either L-shaped sofas in both corners or a central C-shaped sofa, with all seating options facing aft over a high-low central swim platform. The spacious saloon leads to a lower deck featuring a forward full-beam master suite with twin-sink bathroom, while there are a further three en-suite cabins and accommodation for one or two crew.

Fountaine Pajot’s Power 80, a world premiere at Cannes, is the current flagship of the French builder’s Motor Yachts portfolio and shares the same hull as the Thira 80 sailing cat.

Designed by Berrett Racoupeau, the 24m powercat with an 11.1 beam offers 400sqm of living space, according to the shipyard. Guest accommodation ranges from three to six en-suite cabins, while other options include galley up or down. The yacht has a 4,800-litre fuel capacity, while the twin engines can each range from 480hp to 900hp.

Other large debutants at Cannes included Lazzara’s 70ft LPC 300, the VisionF 82 and Wider’s WiderCat 92 Acali, although Silent Yachts’ first Silent 80 2-Deck was unable to attend the show as anticipated. Smaller powercat premieres included Four Winns’ TH33 and TH38 twin-hulled motoryachts, and the Omaya 50 from Bulgaria.

At the Dubai International Boat Show, Sunreef debuted the Ultima 55, the first model in its new Ultima line in build at the shipyard’s new UAE facility in Ras Al Khaimah. Also in Dubai, Gulf Craft expanded its SilverCat range with the debuts of the 35CC and 35CX, while earlier in the year Catana Group introduced the Yot 41 at the Boot Dusseldorf indoor show in Germany.

SAILING CATS

Major premieres of production sailing catamarans generally occur at either the Cannes show in September or – five months earlier and 180 miles west – at the International Multihull Show in La Grande Motte, near Montpellier. The Multihull Show is going from strength to strength and this year’s global debuts included the Lagoon 38.

Lagoon 38

Lagoon’s new entry model, the 38 is a long-planned successor to the iconic 380, which launched in 1999 and became the world’s bestselling catamaran, with close to 1,000 units built across two decades. As its new entry model, the Lagoon 38 is vitally important to the world’s leading builder of pleasure cats, as the key to attracting new clients to the brand – and often to boating.

The 37ft 4in hull has an almost 22ft beam, and allows up to four cabins with double beds 1.8m-wide, which the shipyard says is a first for the market. The 38 is also the second model to feature the flexible ‘In & Out’ cockpit-saloon set-up introduced on the 43, while it can deliver up to 1,420W of clean energy through 520W of solar panels on the coachroof and a further 900W on the transom.

Lagoon Eighty 2

Switching from its smallest to biggest model, Lagoon unveiled its flagship Eighty 2 at Cannes, introducing the successor to the iconic Seventy 7, whose launch in 2016 helped pioneer the large catamaran sector that has grown so rapidly in recent years.

Again using VPLP for naval architecture, Patrick Le Quément for exterior styling and Nauta Design for interiors, the Eighty 2 has a 24m LOA, an 11m beam, features 338sqm of upwind sail area, and offers a wide variety of accommodation choices. Highlights include a 50sqm-plus flybridge with twin helms and solar panels on the hardtop and aft overhang, while the owner’s suite retains the signature starboard balcony.

Fountaine Pajot FP41

Fountaine Pajot staged both of its 2025 sailing cat premieres at Cannes, introducing the FP41 and FP44, its two smallest models, with overall lengths of 39ft 8in and 43ft 6in respectively. Both are available with an internal combustion or electric drivetrain, three or four cabins, and offer upwind sail areas of 100sqm and 123sqm respectively.

The Leopard 52 was a surprise world premiere at Cannes. Constructed by South African shipyard Robertson & Caine, the Leopard 52 succeeds the Leopard 50, the brand’s previous flagship sailing cat. Franck Bauguil, Leopard’s Senior Vice President of Yacht Ownership & Product Development, described the new model as “without a doubt the most versatile catamaran in its class”.

Leopard 52

Alexander Simonis of Dutch naval architecture firm Simonis Voogd Design added that “the new Leopard 52 belongs to a new generation of catamarans that achieve better stability and comfort while offering a larger rig and more sail power”.

At Cannes, Bali staged the global debut of its 5.2, the French builder’s second-biggest model. Based on a 50ft 6in hull, the 52-footer has a near-27ft beam and offers up to almost 200sqm of upwind sail area. As well as Bali signatures including the lifting ‘Bali door’ and forward saloon access to the solid foredeck, the 5.2 has a full flybridge with a forward-facing C-shaped sofa and aft sunbathing. The remarkable accommodation options range from three to six cabins, and up to 16 berths.

Excess 13

Excess’s main premiere of 2025 was at La Grande Motte, where the Excess 13 was unveiled to join the brand’s 11 and 14 models. Featuring naval architecture by Marc Lombard Yacht Design Group and interior design by Jean-Marc Piaton of Piaton Yacht Design, the Excess 13 retains brand signatures such as the twin aft helms, while offering three to four cabins.

At Cannes, the young brand introduced the Hybrid version of its Excess 11. The hybrid propulsion option includes a genset and twin electric motors, which allows sailors to enjoy quiet docking manoeuvres and cruise under fully electric power, increasing the range. The hybrid option will later be available on the brand’s other models.

SAILING MONOHULLS

Nautor Swan saved its 2025 world premieres for September, with the debut of the Swan 51 at Cannes and the magnificent Swan 128 at the Monaco Yacht Show. The three-cabin Swan 51, the new entry model of the Swan line, was designed by German Frers more than four decades after the Argentine drew his first 51 for the Finnish builder, now owned by Sanlorenzo.

Swan 51

On the new 51, the mast is set further aft to enhance balance and performance, while an innovative widebody coaming design makes the usable width comparable to that of a 60-footer, according to Nautor Swan.

Twin rudders allow the yacht to remain balanced, even while steering at a 20-degree heeling angle, at which the hull is optimised for performance. The Swan 51 has three keel options (shallow, standard, performance) and is available in a Sport version with a 1.5m-taller carbon mast. Misa Poggi’s interiors include a choice of four decors.

The Swan 128 is the shipyard’s current flagship and second-longest model to date, after the 131 (2006). The 39m superyacht heads an upgraded Swan Maxi range that includes the 108 (2023), 88 (2024) and the 80 set to show in 2026.

Swan 128

The 128 features naval architecture by Frers, deck and coachroof styling by Micheletti+Partners, and interiors by Poggi. A double rudder system has improved control, even at high speeds, while a moderate heel angle – around 20 degrees in optimal conditions – enhances onboard comfort under sail.

Features include a large swim platform that can be extended with an optional double-action platform, while the garage can accommodate a 4.9m RIB/tender. The interiors include the owner’s quarters forward of the elevated saloon and dining area, while the guest cabins can be arranged to suit owner preferences. The aft area is dedicated to the crew.

Beneteau First 30

It has been a frenetic year for Beneteau, which has introduced four new sailing boats along with half-a-dozen motorboats. Almost half a century since the original First 30 launched in 1977, the French builder kicked off 2025 by staging the world premiere of the new First 30 indoors in Dusseldorf, with the brand promoting the yacht’s ability to plane in medium wind.

Later in the year, Beneteau revealed the all-action First 36SE, a collaboration with Seascape in Slovenia to transform the First 36 into “a thoroughbred IRC racer” and “arguably the fastest, most fun 36ft production boat”. Configured to ensure optimal performance under ORC, the SE version is 400kg lighter than the standard First 36, while a new bow knuckle design shortened the waterline and decreased the wetted surface by as much as 3sqm for improved acceleration and higher speeds.

Beneteau First 36SE

Beneteau then staged the world premieres of the Oceanis 47 and 52 models at Cannes, with the duo introducing the eighth generation of the brand’s cruising yachts. Finot Conq penned the hull of the Oceanis 47.

Biscontini Yacht Design handled the naval architecture of the 52, which features the maximum beam extending all the way to the transom, while the cockpit offers 30 per cent more living space than its predecessor, the Oceanis 51.1, according to Beneteau. Both models feature interiors by Italy’s Nauta Design and accommodation on each can include up to five cabins and three heads.

Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 415

Jeanneau debuted the Sun Odyssey 415 at Cannes, with the yacht launching the ninth generation of the historic line. Jeanneau designed the 415 with Piaton Yacht Design, while Marc Lombard Yacht Design Group handled naval architecture. Options include four sail plans and three keels.

Based on the Sun Odyssey 410’s hull, the 415 features Jeanneau’s signature walkaround side decks and high coamings, while the new transom features a backstay positioned further aft, adding comfort to the twin helms. The interior features a new layout, while accommodation includes an owner’s suite in the bow and two guest cabins (or one cabin and a workshop) aft of the saloon.

Dufour 48

Dufour staged two world premieres this year, unveiling the 48 at the Palma International Boat Show before debuting the 54 at Cannes. Both feature naval architecture by Felci Yacht Design and interiors by Luca Ardizio of Ardizio Design, include a sunpad integrated into the forward coachroof, and offer the option of electric propulsion.

The Dufour 48 has a near-16ft beam and a 117sqm sail area. Interior layout choices include three or four cabins, a saloon with hexagonal table and either a port or forward galley, and the option of a skipper cabin in the forepeak.

The Dufour 54 has a 17ft 3in beam and features the choice of a galley to port or larger galley to starboard, as well as a selection of three to six cabins, including the option of a forward ‘owner cabin’ or larger ‘owner suite’. The choice is yours.

The Italian shipyard has splashed the first unit after announcing three confirmed sales of its new flagship designed by Zuccon International Project.

Sanlorenzo launched the first hull of its flagship 74Steel on October 4 in a private ceremony in La Spezia, having announced three sales of the 1,900GT superyacht. Built in steel and aluminum, the 74Steel is the flagship of the Italian shipyard’s Superyacht range, which also includes the Alloy (44.5m), 50Steel, 52Steel, 57Steel and 64Steel.

Massimo Perotti, Chairman and CEO of the Sanlorenzo group, said: “From a brand perspective, this is a pivotal moment for Sanlorenzo. This is our most ambitious project and marks a new pinnacle in our steel range, but the 74Steel is more than just our largest yacht. It represents elegance, restraint and the purity of living life at sea – the core values of Sanlorenzo.

“With the 74Steel, we’re challenging the idea that size equals excess. We’re demonstrating that we can apply the same refinement and precision you’d expect from Sanlorenzo, even in this new, larger category. This is not just about size – it’s about philosophy.”

Zuccon International Project, Sanlorenzo’s long-time collaborator, is responsible for the 74Steel’s exterior lines. The platform is engineered to an overall length of 72m, but the first three orders are of slightly different length because each has a different bow shape, with hull one featuring a vertical bow.

The first two units have a diesel-electric propulsion system, while the third has conventional in line shaft-propulsion. Engineered with Siemens Energy, the diesel-electric propulsion system relies on six variable-speed Volvo Penta – Mase generators driving twin Schottel E-Pods of 1,000kW each. The hybrid setup includes water-cooled Lehmann Cobra battery systems employing lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cell technology, offering a combined 1.5 MWh capacity.

Hull one includes a 300sqm owner’s deck and a day-lit beach club that expands to 290sqm at sea level. The interior design is by Francesco Paszkowski in collaboration with Margherita Casprini, while each subsequent order has different interiors and customised layouts.

Tommaso Vincenzi, CEO of Sanlorenzo, said: “We’re offering our clients a yacht that feels fully customised without losing the reliability of a proven platform and the aesthetic that makes a Sanlorenzo recognisable everywhere.

Each of the three hulls in this series to date is a true reflection of bespoke design. The owners have worked closely with us, almost co-authoring their yacht, allowing for an unprecedented level of customisation. These are not just yachts – they’re expressions of individuality.”

In the second chapter of World Premieres 2025, Yacht Style looks at the rest of the year’s new motoryachts, many debuting at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival.

Note: To read World Premieres 2025: Motoryachts Part 1, click here

AB Yachts AB 95

AB Yachts – part of Italy’s Next Yacht Group – hosted the global debut of the AB 95 at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival before also exhibiting the superyacht at the Monaco Yacht Show. The 28.5-metre flybridge motoryacht can reach 50 knots due to 6,000hp of thrust from three 2,000hp MAN V12 engines operating with two MJP steerable waterjets and an MJP central booster.

Designed by Archea Associati, the sleek design includes a reverse windscreen and a low-slung, helm-free flybridge reached from the cockpit by two external carbon staircases. Aft, the beach area includes an integrated sea-facing sofa, while the lower deck can accommodate up to 10 guests in two full-beam suites and two guest cabins, plus four crew in two cabins.

Also from Italy, Absolute debuted the 70 Fly and Navetta 62 at Cannes. The 70 Fly is the flagship of the inland builder’s Flybridge series and feature’s Absolute’s first high-low swim platform. As well as the cockpit and aft flybridge areas featuring loose, modular furniture, attractions include a saloon with sliding doors to port. The lower deck includes a full-master suite forward, full-beam VIP midships and two more guest cabins in-between.

Absolute Navetta 62

The Navetta 62 joined the shipyard’s series of high-volume semi-displacement flybridge models. Notable features include a reimagined foredeck, where a C-shaped sofa faces a forward sunbed that can be set up with an aft-facing sofa, allowing guests to sit around an adjustable high-low table. The lower deck’s three guest cabins include two full-beam suites with en-suite bathrooms.

Among British builders, Sunseeker unveiled the 2025 edition of the Manhattan 68 indoors at Boot. As well as a sleeker profile, the updated version is primarily distinguished by new layouts plus refreshed exterior upholstery. The flybridge features a larger, more versatile seating arrangement and an ergonomic console, while the aft cockpit includes a built-in privacy screen. For the interior, Design Unlimited has created options for configurable layouts on the main and lower decks.

Princess F58

Princess, celebrating six decades since it was founded in 1965, kicked off the year at Boot with the F58’s global debut along with the first outing of the 60th-anniversary edition of the V40. The second-largest model in the F Class of flybridge motoryachts, the F58 can reach up to 35 knots with twin 1,200mhp MAN V8s, has the option of a moulded hardtop, and features three guest cabins and a crew cabin on the lower deck.

Princess’s second debut of 2025 was at Cannes, with the V65 unveiled as the new flagship of the Plymouth builder’s V Class of cruisers. Featuring an Olenski-designed deep-V hull and predicted to reach 36 knots, the V65 has an array of notable features including a super-smooth exterior, a large, three-window sunroof, a cockpit with an aft-facing triple sunpad, and a foredeck with a sofa and two adjustable sunloungers.

Pearl debuted its new 63 flybridge at the Palma International Boat Show, with the brand upgrading its 62 with a series of impressive new features including a revised aft cockpit with a huge L-shaped sofa, two foldable, high-low tables and opening balconies on both sides. A midships master cabin with a separate entrance is among four double guest cabins, while other key features include a hydraulic swim platform, a tender garage or crew cabin, and a flybridge hard top with sunroof.

Galeon 620 Fly

Galeon, meanwhile, continues to put out new product at an alarming rate, starting the year at Boot by debuting the 435 GTI – the first inboard model in the GTO (Grand Touring Outboards) series – and an upgraded version of the 640 Fly featuring an interior by Hong Kong-based In Situ & Partners.

In Situ is also responsible for the interiors of the 620 Fly that debuted at Cannes. Instead of offering drop-down sides on the main deck like previous Galeon models, the 620 Fly introduces two long, fold-down aft bulwarks that hover above the water and adjoin the aft platform for a three-sided walkaround beach club. The port balcony is even accessible from the full-beam master suite. And there’s also a main-deck balcony, on the starboard side.

Also at Cannes, the Polish shipyard introduced the 435 Exp, the first model in a new ‘explorer’ line. The yacht features a modernised, trawler-style profile with reverse-ranked windscreen, and a sculpted flybridge with an upper helm.

Saxdor 400 GTS

Finland’s Saxdor staged the world premiere of the 400 GTS at Cannes. With a fully open deck and T-top roof, semi-walkaround layout, fold-down terraces and versatile lounging solutions, the open 400 GTS complements the performance-driven 400 GTO and versatile 400 GTC.

UAE’s Gulf Craft debuted both its Majesty 112 Terrace tri-deck superyacht and Majesty 100 Terrace at this year’s Dubai International Boat Show, with the 100 Terrace going on to appear at both Cannes and Monaco with the Majesty 120.

An evolution of the popular Majesty 100, the 100 Terrace introduces a full-length flybridge that features a pool and lounging area forward of the enclosed skylounge, while also providing shelter for an open-air bow ‘terrace’ on the main deck. Gulf Craft also revamped its range of Oryx sport cruisers, debuting the 47LX, 37FX and 32FX in Dubai.

Majesty 100 Terrace

Australia’s Maritimo staged the world premieres of its M50 flybridge and S60 sedan models at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in May 2025. The M50 features an enclosed flybridge, a ‘folding’, full-width hydraulic swim platform and a fuel capacity of 3,700 litres for extended range. The S60 has a hardtop that can carry a davit and tender or water toys, freeing up the ‘adventure deck’ and aft garage for other purposes.

FROM FRANCE

Prestige has had another significant year, with the French-owned builder adding a third model to both its upgraded F-Line of flybridges and growing M-Line of multihull motoryachts. The F4.3, which debuted at Boot and exhibited at Cannes, is the new entry model for the F-Line.

Prestige F4.3

The successor to the 420, the F4.3 is a similarly impressive all-round package, with a large flybridge for a 43-footer and two full-beam cabins on the lower deck. A notable change is that access into the saloon is via doors on either side of the aft galley, which connects with the cockpit by a huge flip-up window. There’s also an outdoor barbecue, accessible from the swim platform.

Beneteau has had a busy year across its motor ranges, debuting most of the year’s new models at Cannes. The shipyard’s biggest new model is the Grand Trawler 63, built at Groupe Beneteau’s Monfalcone shipyard in Italy.

The successor to the Grand Trawler 62, the 63 retains the full-displacement hull but otherwise features upgrades to most living areas, which include three or four guest cabins on the lower deck, while a wide range of enticing new options are also offered.

Beneteau has also introduced a new entry model for the Swift Trawler series, with the 37 developed in both Fly and Sedan versions. The former includes a low windshield on the flybridge, a helm station to starboard, and an integrated C-shaped sofa and table plus cool box.

The Sedan version’s coach roof includes a clean top deck that can be used to store water toys and recreational gear or can be fitted with loose furniture like sunbeds and chairs. Both versions can include a bimini.

Beneteau Gran Turismo 35

Beneteau has also refreshed its Gran Turismo line, introducing both the 35 and 40 ‘crossover express cruisers’ at Cannes. Designed by Andreani Design with naval architecture by Michael Peters, both open models feature drop-down sides and two cabins below deck. The 35 comes with outboard engines, while the 40 is available with either outboard or inboards.

Beneteau has also added to its Antares line of weekenders, introducing the new Antares 9 at Boot and the Antares 12 Coupe at Cannes. The latter complements the range’s flagship 12 Fly, also features a starboard cockpit balcony, and can be fitted with either two 400hp or three 300hp outboard engines.

Jeanneau’s 2025 powerboat debuts comprise the Merry Fisher 1095 Fly Series 2 and Cap Camarat 9.0 Series 2, both upgraded editions of previous models.
