Sanlorenzo Asia-Pacific hosted the Asia-Pacific premiere of Bluegame’s BGM75 multihull motoryacht in Singapore last weekend. Held at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove, the regional debut of the BGM75 included a dockside presentation accompanied by live music, followed by private tours and sea trials of the 22.7m multihull motoryacht.

Daniele Lucà, CEO of Sanlorenzo Asia-Pacific, commented: “The BGM75 is a decisive step forward for Bluegame and for yachting in our region. Her arrival underscores the growing appetite in Asia-Pacific for yachts that combine environmental efficiency, interior volume and unmistakable Italian style.”

Bluegame’s first multihull, the BGM75 was designed by Bluegame’s Chief Designer Luca Santella and Bernardo Zuccon of Zuccon International Project. The BGM75 features a sleek profile and a generous 8.15m beam, as well as folding aft terraces that add 2m to the width. The model offers 50 per cent more room than a monohull of the same length, according to the Sanlorenzo-owned brand.

Francesco Bandini, Bluegame’s Sales Manager, flew in from Italy for the special occasion. “This yacht demonstrates perfectly balanced proportions that allow for a spacious and seamless interior,” he said. “At first glance, it features the elegant shape of a monohull, yet offers increased volumes along with the enhanced comfort and safety typical of a multihull, which is great for Asia.”

Harvey Brewin, Sales Manager for Simpson Marine Singapore, noted: “The number of conversations we had during the premiere confirms that the BGM75 strikes the perfect chord with Southeast Asian owners. Her long-range capability and versatile layout are exactly what this market has been waiting for.”

The BGM75 joins Bluegame’s Asia-Pacific fleet, which includes BGX63 and BGX73 models in Thailand, Australia, Malaysia and Indonesia.

Backed by 150 years of heritage, sister brands CL Yachts and Cheoy Lee Yachts offer a range of luxurious motoryachts from 65ft to superyachts.

  •
  •
  •

Famed for its robust, finely crafted, globally cruising motoryachts, Cheoy Lee Shipyards draws on 150 years of boat and shipbuilding experience to deliver advanced and highly capable motoryachts from 19m to 60m across two key brands.

Cheoy Lee has remained family run since it was founded in the 1870s, with current management made up of the family’s fourth and fifth generations. It’s a testament not only to the longevity of the brand – which encompasses everything from yachts and superyachts to commercial vessels and workboats – but also to the forward-thinking ethos the shipyard has always applied to its builds.

After starting with yachts constructed in teak, Cheoy Lee was one of the first builders to explore and embrace GRP in the 1960s, becoming a leading brand for GRP yachts and helping pioneer glass and foam sandwich construction.

That drive to break new ground has continued throughout the shipyard’s history, and it comes in all aspects of vessel design and construction; from the adoption of hybrid technologies for the ferries it builds, to the application of hybrid styling and design to its latest range of modern explorer yachts.

Today, Cheoy Lee channels its heritage, history of innovation and highly skilled workforce into creating award-winning yachts, with two key brands: Cheoy Lee Yachts, which continues the lineage of the shipyard’s superyachts and custom builds with vessels up to 60m finished to the highest standards; and CL Yachts, launched in 2018 and which specialises in series production of refined modern GRP yachts.

Quality and safety remain key considerations – the yachts are built in ISO-certified production facilities, and all are built to class with RINA-certified GRP hulls.

The custom superyachts and CL Yachts models are constructed in Cheoy Lee Shipyard’s advanced facilities, which include state-of-the-art CNC water-jet, laser and plasma cutters, 3-, 4- and 5-axis milling machines, Leica 3D scanners, 3D prototyping and semi-automatic pipe welding machines.

Martin Lo

Martin Lo, Director of both Cheoy Lee and CL Yachts, and a fourth-generation family member, said: “These cutting-edge tools enable us to continuously enhance our manufacturing processes, ensuring the highest levels of precision and efficiency.”

CHEOY LEE YACHTS

Renowned for their quality, coveted for their go-anywhere capability and cherished by generations of passionate owners, Cheoy Lee yachts have a deserved reputation among discerning owners who are serious about their cruising. Modern design, construction techniques and technology define the cruising experience of Cheoy Lee yachts.

Cheoy Lee’s all-new 127 Discovery harnesses the shipyard’s DNA and adds modern styling and luxury to deliver a 38.7m trideck that offers a 4,000nm range at 10.5 knots. Part of Cheoy Lee’s Explorer series, the 127 Discovery is a collaboration with Nick Boksa of Boksa Marine Design who, like Cheoy Lee, draws on an extensive background in both commercial and leisure projects.

The result is a compact and efficient go-anywhere explorer that packs the features and spaces typical of a larger yacht.

It’s not just about style and space, however. Cheoy Lee approaches the engineering and construction of its superyachts in the same way it tackles commercial projects, and that means robust systems design and inherent reliability with commercial-level equipment to ensure self-sufficiency and issue-free operation even when cruising far from the beaten track.

The 127 Discovery has a traditional steel displacement hull with sharp entry and spray chine to ensure comfort and safe passage in heavy sea conditions. Features include a main-deck master suite, four guest suites on the lower deck, an aft beach club made possible thanks to stowing the main tender on the main deck aft, and a generous sundeck with a bar, grill, jacuzzi and multiple seating areas.

CGI of Cheoy Lee 127 Discovery

“The 127 Discovery draws on everything we know about building seaworthy global cruisers and hardy, reliable commercial vessels and workboats, and combines it all into an elegant, contemporary ocean-going yacht that delivers luxurious world cruising without compromise on facilities or service,” Lo states.

“While the yacht can be operated with a smaller crew, we have made provision for up to 10, including the possibility for a captain’s cabin on the bridge deck, and comfortable crew spaces with two crew lounges. These aspects, along with the consideration of things like professional galley design and storage space, are critical for extended explorer cruising, and they epitomise Cheoy Lee’s approach to the design and construction of exceptional yachts for adventure and fun.”

CL YACHTS

The CL Yachts model line brings the Cheoy Lee experience and expertise to three ranges of series custom and production yachts – CLX, CLB and CLA. “From the timeless elegance of Series A and B to the cutting-edge design of Series X, each model is meticulously crafted for exceptional performance, unparalleled comfort, and sophisticated style,” Lo explains.

CLX96

Heading the pack are CLX96 and CLX99, two modern explorers that combine the essential ruggedness and seaworthiness of Cheoy Lee’s explorer yachts with styling by Milan-based industrial designer Jozeph Forakis. CLX96 splashed in late 2022 to wide acclaim, with its larger CLX99 sibling – unveiled in autumn 2024 – serving as an evolution of the model with increased interior volumes, more exterior space, and the same futuristic styling from Forakis.

Angular lines, an aggressive plumb bow and reverse windscreen – mirrored in reversed profiles at the aft end of the superstructure – serve not only as references to the shipyard’s workboat heritage but also have practical functionality, improving vision from the helm, increasing the sense of interior space, and maximising natural light and connection to the outside.

CLX96 features best-in-class innovations, including five large, distinct outdoor zones and a striking main saloon with windows that are almost without mullions. This, plus the impressive performance which allows for cruising at close to 20 knots and a top speed around 25 knots, has been made possible by marrying Forakis’s disruptive design ideas with finessed naval architecture by Earl Alfaro and structural engineering by Al Horsmon and the CL Yachts team.

CGI of CLX99

It’s the same combination that has created CLX99. “The groundbreaking CLX99 is fully designed and is ready to be built as soon as an order is placed,” Lo confirms.

It’s not just the Series X which is grabbing all the attention. In the Series B line-up, the Forakis-styled 24.9m CLB80 brings exterior space and interior comfort to a highly capable cruiser with more conventional raked windscreens and distinctive boomerang fashion plates in the superstructure.

An angled bow with a large overhang and an extended sundeck – which not only provides shade for the aft cockpit but which also serves as a boat deck with launch crane for a tender – deliver a contemporary take on classic bluewater motor cruisers.

CGI of CLB80

Offered with an aft-galley, forward-seating layout as a main deck option, with the main helm located in the sky lounge, CLB80 can be configured according to a client’s needs. These include the enclosed skylounge – a boon both for cooler climates and off-season cruising, as well as for hotter climates where shade and air-conditioned spaces are at a premium – and an impressive beach club that serves as a base for waterborne activities.

Series B is also getting a boost with CLB65 SUV, which was presented at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in May 2025 and is currently in production. The 19.7m yacht takes the SUV concept to new heights as a compact and versatile model that strikes a balance between timeless elegance and practical functionality.

That functionality is coupled to versatility in deck spaces and interiors, including a multipurpose area that can serve as a beach club, command centre for fishing and diving, or even a temporary crew cabin to complement the master suite, VIP stateroom and ensuite guest twin cabin. In addition, CLB65 SUV presents fine performance with either Caterpillar or Volvo Penta engines that can push the yacht to a 30-knot top end.

CGI of CLB65 SUV

“CLB65 SUV is the sportiest and most compact yacht to date in the CL Yachts series, and it builds not only on the success of our CLB65 but also on five generations of boatbuilding prowess to deliver performance, manoeuvrability and comfort in equal measure,” says Lo.

“It’s the perfect embodiment of all that learned experience and traditional seaworthiness offered in a model that features the contemporary styling and modern features that clients expect from CL Yachts.”

GLOBAL REACH

It’s not just in construction and design that Cheoy Lee has been investing. The brand now boasts an extensive network of dealers around the world, building on its key operations in Fort Lauderdale, US. The network extends to Australasia, the Middle East, Europe, Turkey, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia, ensuring that clients worldwide can enjoy a seamless yacht-buying and after sales experience.

The culmination of that heritage, design, engineering and global network is a portfolio of yachts that are not only continuing to enthral owners but which are also garnering international acclaim. CLX96 has won multiple awards, while CLB80 came out top in the 2024 GOOD DESIGN Awards.

Martin Lo and Fiona Li at the Yacht Style Awards

Cheoy Lee and CL Yachts combined have also received recognition, winning Yacht Style’s 2025 Builder in Asia award. Not that the shipyard is resting on its laurels. As has been the case for more than 150 years, it continues to push boundaries.

“Beginning in 2022 we embarked on the development of hybrid and alternative-powered vessels tailored for our commercial endeavours,” Lo explains. “This expertise also extends to the creation of new yachts as we see increasing demand from yacht owners for sustainable and more eco-friendly alternatives to traditional diesel power and conventional materials.”

Cheoy Lee Shipyards is also collaborating with prestigious universities in Hong Kong to explore innovative technologies and approaches to production, such as artificial intelligence and human-robotic manufacturing techniques. The goal is clear: to enhance production efficiency while at the same time enhancing quality in all the shipyard’s offerings.

“With both the Cheoy Lee and CL Yachts lines, we’re driven by innovation, design and performance, and our brand creates visionary solutions that set new benchmarks,” Lo concludes. “With every detail carefully considered, we deliver creations that inspire and excel in every way.”

Vladimir Zinchenko, owner of Greenline Yachts and co-founder of GX Superyachts

Once an electronics engineer, Vladimir Zinchenko bought and revived the then-ailing Greenline Yachts shipyard in Slovenia in 2009. Since then, he has led the landlocked facility to build over 1,000 hulls across its evolving range of motoryacht models, known for their eco-aware fibreglass range with hybrid propulsion systems and solar-panel options.

At last year’s Monaco Yacht Show, Greenline announced a new, simultaneous mission: GX Superyachts – larger-format, higher-end, all-aluminium yachts, born with a similar ecologically-minded ethos. Starting with the GX42, GX Superyachts is planning three sizes of yacht, each offered in RHP (Raised Pilot House), Fly or Coupe versions, all featuring exterior design by Marco Casali.

This May, Zinchenko was in Hong Kong to attend the Asia-Pacific Superyacht Summit, of which GX Superyachts was a Platinum Sponsor and where he spoke in the panel discussion ‘Reducing the Energy Consumption of Yachts’. Yacht Style spoke to Zinchenko to hear more about the new brand and its first hull, the GX 42m RHP, which is due to launch in the summer of 2026.

Considering the success of Greenline Yachts, what prompted the launch of the GX Superyachts, a production collaboration with Türkiye’s SES Yachts?

We’ve established a lot of manufacturing technology in Slovenia and gained knowledge in-house on building from moulds and how to use hybrid propulsion. So, we began to ask, ‘how can we take this further?’ We also have a lot of customers who have shown an interest in growing together with us.

GX42 RPH exterior design by Marco Casali

With the idea of building superyachts and in aluminium, we needed to be practical. Our shipyard is 160km from the seaside. To get there, we need to go through five tunnels and cross a lot of bridges. Our bigger Greenline boats are delivered in two pieces, the flybridge and hull separately, which are then glued together at a marina facility.

Slovenia’s coastline is only 46km long and mostly cliffs, so for larger-scale yachts, we couldn’t face the transport challenges. We looked for somewhere to be easily accessible to use for deliveries around the world, with a strong background in building in metal. The shipyard we’re using for GX Superyachts is in Tuzla, Istanbul, and offers both these things.

What is the mission for GX Superyachts and how do you imagine the owner profile?

We would like to build a smart platform, which concentrates on not only how far and how fast you can go somewhere but also on the way of life on the boat. And of course, we set out our Responsible Yachting path with Greenline, so we will carry this into GX models.

Greenline yachts are built for spending quality time with your family, and this starts from the first few minutes when you step on board. The kids are running around, parents are sunbathing, the wife is reading a book, the husband is making coffee. Because they move slowly, everything is visible, with 360 degrees of glazing around in the flybridge. It’s for enjoying time on a family cruise, not for fast day-cruising from A to B, to go to restaurants and back. You know? That’s not Greenline style.

Greenline Yachts, leaders, Vladimir Zinchenko, GX Superyachts, Marco Casali, Too Design, SES Yachts, motoryachts

The GX42 RPH will feature hybrid propulsion

GX Superyachts boats have larger dimensions and more dynamic performance. You know, we are talking about the €30 million figure – so it’s an owner of a business, who already has a family, a lot of relatives, and they plan to invite them on board. It means there should be water toys, a Jacuzzi – really, a great entertainment boat.

In the respect of on-board power for GX models, the expectation must be that you need a lot for superyacht hotel use and propulsion.

From the start, we were finding out the number of batteries, generators and solar panels we need to cover the needs for powering not only the propulsion system but also the air-conditioning, heating, ventilation and the general house needs. Our first model is a 42m boat and we calculate that we need 1.5 megawatts of energy a day.

We started to look at what we can do to minimise consumption, and we found out that we can save up to 70 per cent when we modify our air-conditioning technology. Our smart air-conditioning is complex. Importantly, we’re not cooling empty rooms and we’re using highly-efficient glass with tall overhanging brows, which stops a lot of direct heat in the saloon, and we use thermal insulation.

Marco Casali has also designed the interior of hull one

We also realise the crew must be trained. They get constant reports and analysis, and there will even be online artificial intelligence that will help them quickly react in real time. This is very important. We can build the smartest boats ever but if a crew ignores recommendations, our customer will waste money for nothing.

How is the backup for the hybrid propulsion on GX Superyachts?

Hybrid propulsion itself is a secondary system – the primary is still classic diesel, connecting with a straight shaft, so you’re always going to have propulsion. As yachts usually have twin engines – offering safety if one has a problem – we also have twin electric motors. So, in fact, it means we are protected four times, not just double.

Potential customers who we talk to about Greenline and GX aren’t always asking how far and how fast the boats can go but more often how big a carbon footprint the boats will leave, how much fuel they will burn, how silent they can go. We are working on all these areas.

How long was the planning stage before you announced the three-yacht range in Monaco last September?

We really started in January 2022, at the Boot Düsseldorf show, when we presented our vision for the future. We said Greenline Yachts was sure to continue because our customer base was growing. We added that we would like to continue not only up to 20m but that we planned to go up to 24m, and that we could consider a line above 24m. We immediately got interested feedback from dealers on this, so we started to think about a 26m yacht.

Drop-down aft bulwarks create a huge beach club

Some dealers and customers started asking about boats larger than 26m, and it grew to 30m, then to 36m and 40m LOA, and, finally, we came to 42m, which is the size of the first hull we’re building now.

It was a long journey from January 2022 to June 1, 2024, when we had a keel-laying ceremony in Istanbul. We decided to make an announcement on the GX42 RPH only after we knew it would be sold and in production. We’re not a shipyard that makes [concept] sketches available before we know something is at the manufacturing stage.

How many hulls could GX Superyachts build in a year?

Yes, our plan is about one per year, across those three LOA sizes. First of all, we do not have our own production facilities for GX – we outsource. Secondly, we just started, and we never had experience with aluminium hulls. Plus, our team never touched the class regulations for this size and type of yacht.

Zinchenko spends much of his time at the SES shipyard in Tuzla

Is it a challenge to divide your time between Greenline Yachts and GX Superyachts?

I’m enjoying spending a lot of time at the Turkish shipyard – I’m an engineer. We looked at about 20 shipyards in Italy and Istanbul and we chose a reliable, small, boutique family shipyard. With 50 years in the business, under one family, our project is their number 57. After three years of asking, they gave us our first slot. It’s important to be there a lot and when I am, I notice the returning customers who have used the shipyard for three, four or five yachts.

Sanlorenzo’s first 50Steel, Almax, is now available to charter in the Mediterranean. The 50m motoryacht is managed by the Sanlorenzo Charter Fleet with a weekly rate starting from €320,000.

Almax is currently open for summer 2025 bookings on itineraries around the Italian island of Sicily (July 3-10 and August 20-27), followed by a cruise between Naples and Monaco in early autumn (September 6-21).

Delivered by Sanlorenzo in 2024 to a design by Zuccon International Project, Almax has been described by Sanlorenzo CEO Massimo Perotti – owner of Almax – as “a milestone in our journey towards carbon neutrality, reflecting our commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility”.

Almax is considered a game-changer in the charter market as the world’s first superyacht to feature the revolutionary Fuel Cell system developed by Siemens Energy. This system allows the motoryacht to transform green methanol into hydrogen, which can then generate up to 100kW of power.

At the small expense of reducing the size of the master suite to make way for the Fuel Cell system in the bow, Almax can be operated almost completely emission-free, making her a prime choice for eco-conscious charter guests. The full-beam master suite still has room for a private office and double dressing rooms.

Almax’s interiors by Lissoni & Partners can accommodate up to 10 guests and nine crew, and offer all the amenities expected on modern superyachts.

Azimut Yachts marked a key milestone in its Asia Pacific expansion strategy with the debut of the Asian Rendez-Vous in Tokyo in collaboration with the brand’s exclusive Japanese dealer, Yasuda Shipyard.

Yacht Style attended the exclusive event, which welcomed over 100 guests – including 50 owners from across Asia – for a four-day tribute to Azimut’s success in the region and an Asian yachting community “bonded by a common vision of sophistication and deep passion for maritime elegance and innovation”, the Italian shipyard stated.

Azimut, Asian, Rendez-Vous, Tokyo, Japan, Giovanna Vitelli, Marco Valle, Australia, China, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Yasuda Shipyard

Azimut continues to strengthen its footprint in the region through an extensive, well-established network spanning Australia, mainland China, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. The Tokyo event served as both a cultural showcase and a strategic touchpoint to chart the brand’s next chapter in the region.

Azimut has a long-standing strategy of one dealer per market, with the shipyard believing this “gives each market the advantage of tailored local insight, a highly personal client relationship, and an entrepreneurial mindset that drives innovation and long-term value”. It also helps Azimut remain closely attuned to evolving owner preferences in different countries and regions.

Giovanna Vitelli, Chair of Azimut|Benetti Group, said: “Azimut has always stood for more than products – we represent a way of living the sea with purpose, beauty, and Italian flair.

“What makes our journey in Asia so meaningful is not just how early we entered the region but how deeply we’ve connected with owners with shared values. We are especially grateful to Yasuda Shipyard for their dedication in making this meaningful gathering possible – another reflection of the strength of the Azimut family and the relationships that shape our story here.”

Marco Valle, CEO of Azimut|Benetti, added: “Asia has long been a region of strategic importance for Azimut, where we’ve built a strong foundation anchored in trust and local insights.

“The Asian Rendez-Vous was a valuable moment to directly engage our community and reaffirm our commitment. With 16 recent deliveries, such as the Grande 32M in Halong Bay, and another 10 already planned, we are proud to continuously grow alongside a new generation of inspiring owners, true to our promise: Dare to Amaze.”

The Azimut community came together for an exclusive showcase of the brand’s most iconic yachts at Yasuda Shipyard, which was transformed into a striking stage “where cutting-edge innovation, bold style, and Italian high craftsmanship converged”. An artisanal workshop with Milanese leather atelier Serapian further spotlighted heritage and design excellence.

Guests came together aboard seven Azimut yachts gliding across Tokyo Bay, beneath the stars in a spectacular celebration as fireworks lit up the sky.

The event also offered guests an immersive cultural journey, celebrating the union of Japanese and Italian values. A pinnacle of the celebration was an exclusive evening at the Italian Embassy in Tokyo, graciously opened for the occasion by His Excellency Ambassador Benedetti, where tradition met innovation in a setting that reflected Azimut’s spirit of harmony between man, nature, and technology.

Guests were also treated with a sensory culinary experience curated by Michelin-starred, internationally renowned chef Carlo Cracco, followed by a refined performance honouring Italy’s rich musical heritage. With the success of its first Asian Rendez-Vous, Azimut has set the stage for deeper engagement and elevated yachting experiences across Asia Pacific.

Sanlorenzo Asia-Pacific is hosting the Asia-Pacific premiere of the Bluegame BGM75 at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove in Singapore from 4-8pm on Saturday, June 21. Interested parties should email singapore@simpsonmarine.com to register their attendance.

The BGM75, which had its world premiere at the 2023 Cannes Yachting Festival, is the Italian brand’s first multihull motoryacht. Asia-Pacific’s first hull will be docked at berths E13-14 at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove, which in April hosted the annual Singapore Yachting Festival, Yacht Style Awards and Southeast Asia Yachting Conference.

Luca Santella, Bluegame’s founder and Head of Product Strategy, designed the BGM75 with Bernardo Zuccon of Zuccon International Project, and Philippe Briand for naval architecture. Bluegame states that the yacht offers over 50 per cent more space than a monohull of comparable length, while maintaining the handling, aesthetics and luxury feel of a traditional yacht.

Spanning an overall length of 22.7m and a beam of 8.1m, the flybridge motoryacht offers significant internal volume and includes a full-beam owner’s suite on the lower deck, while the extensive outdoor areas include fold-out aft bulwarks either side of the swim platform.

Featuring Volvo D8 engines, a 5,000-litre fuel capacity and a low-resistance hull, the yacht has a top speed of 21 knots and a range of over 1,500nm at 8.5 knots. Its range and a shallow draft of 1.5m make it suitable for long expeditions across Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and beyond.

Sanlorenzo is due to launch the first Panorama Edition of the 64Steel in 2026, with a completely reimagined beach club among features distinguishing it from the original model.

The design of the expansive waterside area has been inspired by the iconic beach club introduced on the 52Steel. The enhanced beach club now features three fold-down side terraces – aft, port and starboard – for a full walkaround layout and a seamless connection between the yacht and the water.

The infinity pool on the aft main deck has been enlarged and features glass sides and a glass floor. The glass bottom allows natural light to filter through to the indoor beach club below, creating a covered but bright area open on all three sides, offering an atmospheric area to unwind by the water.

Another enhancement of the 64Steel Panorama Edition is a new panoramic deck, which offers a private lounge and sunbathing space with 360-degree views for additional alfresco entertaining, day or night.

Other amenities on board the 64m motoryacht – which is designed with Sanlorenzo’s signature low-profile silhouette and modern lines – include a private cinema, gym and spa area, a touch-and-go helipad and an elevator to transport guests through the multiple decks.

The 1,340GT superyacht will be able to accommodate up to 12 guests. The master suite is located on the private owner’s deck for total seclusion and optimal views. There will also be cabins on board for 14 members of crew.

Powered by a pair of MTU 12V 4000 M65L engines, the steel-hulled superyacht has been designed for long-range cruising at a speed of 12.5 knots. At full throttle, the yacht will offer a top speed of 17 knots.

To date, the Italian shipyard has delivered two units of the 64Steel, Attila in 2019 and KD in 2024, as well as three 62Steel yachts – Lemon Tree (2021), Alchemist (2022) and Rose d’Or (2023) – with the two models sharing a similar platform.

Galeon’s 435 GTI had its world premiere earlier this year

A world premiere at Boot Düsseldorf 2025, the Galeon 435 GTI model is the twin-inboard version of 2024’s 435 GTO (Grand Touring Outboard). Due to their streamlined designs and seaworthy handling, the 435 GTO/GTI models won the Motoryacht 13-15m category at this year’s Yacht Style Awards, held on the eve of the Singapore Yachting Festival in April.

The two-cabin 435 GTI is a fine performer, and can reach in the region of 38 knots with two 480hp Volvo Penta IPS650 engines, and top 40 knots with the 600hp IPS800 options. There’s even a four-engine option available, with each one limited to 500hp.

The yacht can top 40 knots, depending on engine options

Design highlights include a climate-controlled wheelhouse enveloped in glass, partially glazed balconies and ample deck space aft and at the bow. The 435 GTO is available in Asia, while the GTI version will be coming to the region in the last quarter of 2025, with one unit sold following an inspection by its owner at the Düsseldorf show.

The model marks a second consecutive Yacht Style Awards win in this category for Galeon, following last year’s success with its 440 Fly. Both reflect Galeon’s bold vision and the UK-based Tony Castro Yacht Design studio’s commitment to innovation, performance and aesthetics. The 435 GTO/GTI line stands out for its design philosophy that balances form and function to elevate life on the water.

The Galeon 435 GTI has a dynamic silhouette

Established in 1982, Galeon remains a family-owned and operated company specialising in constructing luxury yachts and motorboats on the outskirts of Gdansk, in northern Poland. With clear vision and steady growth, today Galeon has 1,400 people working within 36,000sqm of production and assembly halls.

With models ranging from 32ft to 80ft and represented by regional dealer Asiamarine (and MarineMax in the US), Galeon is known for its attention to detail, cutting-edge on-board technology and great designs, often incorporating additional space thanks to its pioneering drop-down sides.

The saloon has a two-piece opening sunroof

The 435 GTI’s two-tone exterior boasts full-length windows and partially glazed balconies complemented by striking sporty details. The Tony Castro studio, which has been designing for Galeon since 2001, created a climate-controlled wheelhouse in wraparound glass to offer unobstructed, panoramic views while protecting the passengers from the elements.

VERSATILE EXTERIOR LAYOUT

Two distinct outside leisure areas located bow and aft provide ample space for entertaining guests while cruising or anchored. The GTI cockpit showcases significant improvements over the GTO’s, including transformable seating that allows guests to face bow or aft, as well as fold into a completely flat sunpad.

The balconies expand space on the swim platform

Concealed beneath the seats is a compact garage, ideal for storing a Zodiac 200 roll-up dinghy or water toys. Further enhancing functionality is the hydraulic swim platform, providing easy access to the water. For added comfort, a retractable sunshade offers respite from the sun while stationary or during cruising. The cockpit stands out for its spaciousness and array of practical features.

The hydraulic swim platform has a built-in folding ladder to provide effortless access to the sea, and it doubles as a lift. In ‘Beach Mode’, folding balconies on the port and starboard sides substantially extend the deck space, creating a social, open atmosphere while at anchor.

Access to the foredeck is on the port side

Forward, the flush floor facilitates easy access on the port side to the wide bow area that offers luxurious seating with a flexible configuration for either a sunpad or a dining table at its centre.

The bench lounger, just fore of the helm windshield, is ergonomically designed in a reclined position, featuring sporty headrests, drink holders and stylish two-tone quilted upholstery. Soft, foam decking enhances comfort underfoot, adding a touch of sophistication.

INTERESTING INTERIOR

The surprisingly spacious interior of the main deck features a U-shaped dining area, a wet bar area with fridge and sink, and three sporty helm seats – all under a large, two-section opening sunroof, with side windows that lower to allow in fresh breezes and natural light.

The saloon features a U-shaped dining area, stylish bar and three sporty helm seats

Below deck, the master cabin located in the bow offers a comfortable double bed and ample storage space. Enhanced natural light fills the interior, courtesy of oversized windows, a ceiling skylight and dispersed LED illumination.

The quality and finish uphold Galeon’s renowned standards, showcasing sophisticated curved woodwork, stainless-steel accents, and a range of customisable options to suit individual preferences.

Below deck, the finely appointed galley boasts ample storage

Midships, the guest cabin features both a single and a double berth with full-sized doors for privacy, while the galley and a spacious bathroom with separate shower cabin ensure a high level of comfort during extended day cruises or overnighters.

The finely appointed galley area boasts ample storage and plenty of headroom, ensuring easy access to both guest cabins. The bathroom is equipped with upscale cabinetry and a walk-in shower – a neat, well-organised environment. All lower-deck areas are illuminated by recessed LED lighting.

The master cabin is in the bow

The Galeon 435 GTI offers dynamic performance, versatile comfort and sophisticated style – all in one exceptional package, setting the stage for memorable day trips, overnighters or weekend getaways.

The Halong Catamaran

In the world of superyachts, luxury is measured not only in visual splendour or sleek engineering – it is now also felt in the air. As silent as a breeze and as personal as a signature, scent is becoming the invisible hallmark of elevated onboard living.

Leading this olfactive revolution is Maison 21G, the French house of bespoke perfumery, whose latest project aboard The Halong Catamaran is a testament to how bespoke scented objects can transform a vessel into a sensorial sanctuary.

Scenting the sea: A new dimension of yacht design

As the global luxury landscape evolves, scent has emerged as one of the most powerful tools in emotional branding – discreet yet unforgettable, invisible yet instantly evocative. Maison 21G, founded by master perfumer Johanna Monange, has positioned itself at the forefront of this revolution.

From prestigious hotels and luxury brands to high-end retail spaces and private residences, the Maison has become a trusted partner in scent marketing, crafting tailor-made olfactive signatures and scented objects that deepen brand identity and transform atmospheres.

Now, this expertise is being brought to the high seas.

As luxury yachts increasingly become private sanctuaries for the senses of their owners, the role of scent has evolved beyond the personal perfume bottle. Today, fragrance is an integral part of spatial identity just as vital as interior materials or ambient lighting. Maison 21G is leading this shift, curating immersive olfactive environments and unique scented objects with your boat identity and name that elevate life on board.

Their latest commission? Creating a custom scent experience aboard The Halong Catamaran, a modern, elegant yacht sailing through the legendary emerald waters of Vietnam’s Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its mythical beauty and tranquil majesty.

The brief was clear yet refined: develop a fragrance that harmonises with the yacht’s natural surroundings, while enhancing the on-board experience with tailor-made decorative scented objects like reed diffusers, candles and scented ancillaries for the cabins.

Monange, drawing on her deep knowledge of olfactive storytelling, composed a scent that captures the spirit of the boat with quiet elegance. A breath of ocean mist drifts through sage-laced air, anchored by the soft embrace of sun-warmed cashmere wood. It whispers of freedom, stillness, and salt-kissed sophistication – a fragrance that sails like a soul in sync with the sea.

The result is a creation both refined and emotionally resonant; not just a scent, but a sensory horizon – a signature that journeys with you.

Haute couture diffusion with design in mind: When your scent becomes luxurious scented objects

Scenting a yacht is as much a technical challenge as it is an artistic one. Maison 21G approached this project with a dual strategy of blending cutting-edge cold diffusion technology with timeless craftsmanship to create an olfactive presence that is both refined and adaptable to the vessel’s dynamic environment.

Maison 21G, Johana Monange, The Halong Catamaran

At the heart of the scenting system were cold-air micro-diffusion machines, seamlessly integrated into discreet corners of the main lounge and guest areas. These high-performance systems vaporise your bespoke fragrance without heat, preserving the integrity of the natural ingredients while allowing precise control over intensity and dispersion which is essential for maintaining harmony in enclosed spaces or open decks exposed to sea breeze.

To complement this invisible elegance, Maison 21G also deployed artisanal Reed Diffusers, candles, ancillaries with the boat branding in intimate spaces such as private cabins, bathrooms and dressing quarters. These were not simply decorative additions but thoughtfully placed to create pockets of warmth and olfactive intimacy, enhancing moments of stillness and privacy onboard.

Each bespoke Reed Diffuser was custom-coloured and styled to echo the yacht’s design language, using high-quality materials resistant to marine conditions. The reeds, the vessel and even the oil’s viscosity were carefully calibrated to suit the microclimate at sea, ensuring the scent would evolve naturally and harmoniously over time.

The interplay between precision diffusion and scented objects created an ambient experience that was immersive yet unobtrusive – like a breath of the ocean layered with herbal clarity and a whisper of wood. It’s a scent that travels with elegance, not only in the air but in visual memory.

The future of luxury gifting and scent branding

In today’s hyper-personalised economy, where customer loyalty is earned through emotional resonance and sensory engagement, corporate gifting is undergoing a transformation. No longer just a polite token, the most visionary brands are elevating it into a strategic tool – one that tells a story, builds brand equity, and cultivates enduring relationships.

Maison 21G is redefining how luxury brands express gratitude, deepen partnerships and immortalise their identities through olfactive craftsmanship.

At The Reserve, Maison 21G crafted the exclusive ‘Scent of Gold’, a fragrance that captures the hotel’s opulent serenity. This scent was not only diffused throughout the property but transformed into a personalised gift for VIP guests, turning each stay into a lingering, sensorial memory that reinforced loyalty and brand prestige.

Maison 21G, Johana Monange, The Halong Catamaran

Maison 21G brought a similarly strategic vision to its partnership with Williams Racing. In the high-octane world of Formula 1, the brand created a fragrance that encapsulated speed, innovation and elite performance – used both in hospitality lounges and as a limited-edition gift for sponsors and partners.

These olfactive touchpoints elevated the corporate gifting experience from transactional to deeply emotional. Whether for luxury hotels, elite sports, or yachting, Maison 21G enables brands to create truly memorable moments through scent – delivering gifts that are not only luxurious but deeply personal, timeless and brand-defining.

Maison 21G, Johana Monange, The Halong Catamaran

The invisible signature: The future of scented yachting and bespoke olfactive decoration

Beyond the polished teak and sculpted marble of today’s superyachts lies a new dimension of luxury – scent. No longer a mere accent, fragrance has become a vessel for emotion, memory, and owner identity.

Maison 21G brings this invisible signature to life, crafting bespoke scents that echo the spirit of the yacht and the soul of its owner. Each fragrance is a silent narrator, designed to linger not only in the air but in the memory, turning each voyage into a personal, olfactive journey.

Maison 21G goes beyond air scenting, offering a complete sensory ecosystem at sea. We craft bespoke scented objects – designed not only to perfume the air but to be seen, touched and experienced with your unique boat identity.

From branded soaps and reef-safe sunscreens to facial mists, lip balms, and hand wash and lotion, every item is infused with your yacht’s unique scent and visual identity. These pieces are not off-the-shelf amenities; they are custom creations that merge function, beauty and atmosphere into one coherent sensory language.

Because in the end, luxury is not just what surrounds you – it’s what lingers in your memory, long after the sea has slipped from your view.
