Camper & Nicholsons’ new Central Agency (CA) listings include two superyachts for sale with both Julien Solari, Chief Commercial Officer Asia, and Sales Broker Della Pearce, as well as one with Senior Advisor Carmen Lau.

Song of Songs, the 42m Heysea superyacht delivered in 2022, is for sale with Solari and Pearce, and has an asking price of €22,888,000. Currently in Phuket, Song of Songs is available for viewings by appointment and is also available for charter in Southeast Asia through Camper & Nicholsons.

Camper & Nicholsons earlier announced a new CA for the 52m Benetti Solafide, which is also represented by Solari and Pearce. Currently in the south of France, the steel-hulled yacht has a 4,600nm range, accommodation for 12 guests and 12 crew, and an asking price of €19,250,000.

Delivered in 1995 and fully refitted between 2023 and 2025, Solafide has been modernised throughout. Tommaso Spadolini refined her iconic profile, while major upgrades include new engines, systems, a full repaint, and reconfigured interiors. Exterior spaces were also redesigned, with an aft lounge using fold-down bulwarks, and a sundeck now supporting helicopter operations.

The successor of the Grand Trawler 62 will be the largest of Beneteau’s world premieres at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival.

Beneteau, Grand Trawler 63, Cannes Yachting Festival

Beneteau has launched its Grand Trawler 63, the French builder’s new flagship motoryacht and successor to the Grand Trawler 62, of which 27 yachts have been delivered. The Grand Trawler 63 will have its world premiere in Vieux Port at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival from September 9-14.

Just under 19m in length and built at Groupe Beneteau’s Monfalcone shipyard in Italy, the Grand Trawler 63 is an evolution of the 62. The new model retains the MICAD-designed full-displacement hull, known for its exceptional fuel efficiency and offering a range up to 900nm at nine knots with a 10 per cent fuel reserve.

Beneteau, Grand Trawler 63, Cannes Yachting Festival

As part of Beneteau’s “uncompromising pursuit of tranquillity” on the Grand Trawler 63, the yacht features enhanced soundproofing in the crew quarters, lazarette and engine room, while Sleipner fin stabilisers deliver stability, both underway and at anchor.

The Sleipner fins are included as standard as part of the base package, along with the Luxe Pack, AGM service batteries, and a MAN spares box. Options include a new Silent Boat Pack that significantly reduces ambient noise.

A redrawn helm station takes cues from the Swift Trawler 54, with floating MFD screens that improve both form and function. The transition from hydraulic to Xenta electric steering allows for a more responsive helm in both calm and rough seas.

The lower deck includes three or four spacious cabins, all with refined bathrooms featuring upgraded tapware and mirrored finishes. The yacht also features enhanced storage and slatted wardrobe latches, while options including a Texan-style barbecue, a black, modular flybridge, and a new convertible coffee table with removable cushion.

Beneteau, Grand Trawler 63, Cannes Yachting Festival

“With the launch of the Grand Trawler 63, Beneteau sets a new benchmark in long-distance luxury cruising. Building on the proven success of the Grand Trawler 62, Beneteau saw not just an opportunity to improve but a responsibility to elevate the experience even further,” Beneteau stated.

“Owners today expect more than comfort and range. They seek serenity, precision and craftsmanship that responds intuitively to their way of living at sea. The Grand Trawler 63 introduces a suite of innovations and aesthetic refinements that together redefine the elegant way of extended cruising.”

From luxury electric cars to coachbuilt marvels, these standout machines define automotive prestige in 2025 through avant-garde design and heritage craftsmanship.

In 2025, prestige in the luxury automotive industry is not just about speed or badge power – it is about provenance and painstaking detail. As electric mobility continues to reshape the industry, a new generation of high-luxury vehicles is emerging with models that marry cutting-edge technology with the kind of craftsmanship once reserved for coachbuilt classics. These are not cars made for the masses. They are engineered to evoke desire and uphold legacies decades in the making. From the debut of four-door Ferraris to the quiet confidence of an all-electric Maybach, the most aspirational cars on the market today remain resolutely aspirational.

RollsRoyce La Rose Noire Droptail

Rolls-Royce La Rose Noire Droptail is a singular expression of coachbuilt artistry, inspired by the velvety Black Baccara rose and developed over a four-year period. At its core is a motif of abstract petals rendered in the most complex parquetry Rolls-Royce has ever produced, comprising 1,603 pieces of Black Sycamore veneer. Crafted in complete silence over nine months by a single artisan working in limited-hour shifts, the symmetrical triangles and asymmetrical red inserts resemble falling rose petals that cocoon the driver and passenger. This motif continues seamlessly across the aft deck, framed by two dramatic sail cowls that recall a yacht’s profile.

Measuring 5.3m long and 2m wide, Droptail’s roadster form is a sculptural ode to early Rolls-Royce proportions, featuring a ‘dropping’ rear and a striking negative body line. Its exterior finish, dubbed True Love, echoes the changing tones of the Black Baccara rose, from pomegranate in shadow to luminous red in light, achieved through a new paint process involving over 150 iterations and five layers of tinted lacquer. The darkened brightwork – finished in bespoke Hydroshade – mirrors natural light and adds to the car’s noir elegance. In a refined flourish, the reverse side of the grille vanes is painted in True Love red – visible only by indirect reflection.

Inside, the two-seat cabin marks a first for modern Rolls-Royce design. The fascia reveals the intricate parquetry, while the seats are trimmed in dark red Mystery leather and shimmering light red True Love leather. A low, enveloping layout reinforces the romantic character. The car offers two experiences: an open-air drive with the roof removed and a sleek coupé profile with the hardtop in place. With only four ever to be made, the La Rose Noire Droptail stands as a dramatically romantic celebration of automotive excellence.

Mercedes Maybach EQS SUV

With its sweeping silhouette, hand-applied two-tone paintwork and unmistakable Maybach grille, the Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV signals a new era of electric prestige. This is not just the brand’s first all-electric SUV – it is the amalgamation of cutting-edge innovation with the meticulous craftsmanship that the Maybach is revered for. Offering up to 635 km of all-electric range (WLTP), 658hp of seamless power and fast-charging capabilities that take it to 80 per cent in just 31 minutes.

Inside, the cabin becomes a sanctuary of sensory indulgence: sustainably produced, vegetable-tanned leather makes its debut, paired with ambient lighting, high-end entertainment systems and Maybach-exclusive trim elements. The pièce de résistance is arguably the refrigerated rear compartment with matching champagne goblets and bespoke holders, ideal for moments that call for celebration on the move. From its stainless-steel pedal system to its intelligent energy-recovery technology, every detail is designed to elevate the driving experience.

Aston Martin Valhalla / Vanquish

The Aston Martin Valhalla represents a groundbreaking chapter in the marque’s 112-year legacy – a mid-engined plug-in hybrid supercar that sees road and track performance in unprecedented ways. Developed in close collaboration with Aston Martin Performance Technologies (AMPT), the Valhalla features cutting-edge innovations in dynamics, aerodynamics and materials, many drawn from Formula 1® technology. At its core is a bespoke 4.0-litre twin-turbo flat-plane crank V8 engine producing 828PS, paired with three electric motors delivering an additional 251PS – for a combined output of 1079PS and 1100Nm. It can accelerate from 0–100kmh in just 2.5 seconds and reaches an electronically limited top speed of 350kmh (217mph).

This is Aston Martin’s first series production mid-engined supercar and the first to feature a fully integrated plug-in hybrid system with dedicated EV range. A newly developed 8-speed Dual Clutch Transmission and an advanced all-wheel drive system with torque vectoring further to elevate its dynamic performance. The Valhalla’s design is equally striking, combining Aston Martin’s signature luxury with aerodynamic efficiency and dramatic styling cues. Limited to just 999 units, deliveries are set to begin in the second half of 2025, marking the arrival of a true road and track masterpiece.

Lamborghini Revuelto

Unveiled on the cusp of Lamborghini’s 60th anniversary, the Revuelto marks a bold new chapter as the brand’s first HPEV (High Performance Electrified Vehicle) hybrid super sports car. Fusing the raw power of a brand-new naturally aspirated V12 with three electric motors and a groundbreaking transversal dual-clutch e-gearbox, the Revuelto delivers an astonishing 1,015 CV (747 kW). It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds and exceeds top speeds of 350 km/h.

Performance is matched with advanced aerodynamics, LDVI 2.0 driving intelligence and a carbon fibre monofuselage inspired by aeronautics — a feat that improves stiffness and reduces weight by nine kg compared to the Aventador’s front frame. Visually, the Revuelto sees tradition and futurism with sharply sculpted lines, a central silhouette and an exposed V12 engine. Inside, a driver-centric cockpit embraces Lamborghini’s “Feel Like a Pilot” philosophy, combining symmetry, hexagonal elements and futuristic tech for a fully immersive driving experience.

Bugatti La Voiture Noire

A singular homage to the long-lost Type 57 SC Atlantic, the Bugatti La Voiture Noire embodies the marque’s legacy of pioneering design and unparalleled craftsmanship. Inspired by Jean Bugatti’s missing black Atlantic, this one-off creation is an exercise in automotive haute couture. Its elongated silhouette, flowing windscreen and helmet-like windows reflect Bugatti’s artistic precision. Six tailpipes subtly signal the immense power beneath its sculptural frame: the iconic 16-cylinder engine.

With a dorsal seam that recalls the Atlantic’s legendary fin, the car is a commanding presence. As with the original Atlantics — only four of which were ever made and just three known to survive. More than a revival, it is a reimagining of a mystery, a masterpiece resurrected for a new era of connoisseurs. Bugatti’s latest Mistral closed‑top record‑setter, and the one‑of‑a‑kind La Voiture Noire hyper‑luxury model, both showcase flagship speed and exclusivity.

Bentley Flying Spur Speed

Bentley’s fourth-generation Flying Spur debuts in 2025 as the marque’s most powerful four-door to date. This super sedan is powered by the new Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain, which pairs a 600 PS 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 with a 190 PS electric motor, delivering a combined 782 PS and 1,000 Nm of torque. Acceleration is staggering: 0–60 mph in just 3.3 seconds, all while achieving CO₂ emissions of only 33 g/km and an electric-only range of up to 47 miles.

Beneath its familiar but refined exterior lies Bentley’s most advanced chassis yet, equipped with Dynamic Ride, All-Wheel Steering and twin-valve dampers that allow for nuanced control between drive modes. Inside, the cabin has been elevated with new 3D diamond hide, wellness seating for all passengers and Bentley’s My App Studio, which integrates infotainment and smart services directly into the vehicle. With nearly limitless customisation options through Mulliner, a palette of 101 standard paints (plus bespoke matching) and three elite audio systems — including a Naim 2,200W 19-speaker setup — the Flying Spur is as much a feat of personal expression as it is of engineering.

Ferrari Purosangue

Marking a historic first for the marque, the Ferrari Purosangue is the brand’s inaugural four-door, four-seater vehicle — a bold move that remains rooted in the spirit of the Prancing Horse. Developed over 75 years of engineering ambition, the Purosangue delivers a seamless fusion of power, dynamic handling and refined cabin comfort. Aptly named “Purosangue” — meaning “thoroughbred” in Italian — it channels Ferrari’s racing heritage into an entirely new format, without compromising on presence or performance. Fuel consumption averages 17.3 l/100 km under the WLTP cycle, with combined CO₂ emissions at 393 g/km — a testament to Ferrari’s unapologetically potent character.

A highlight of Pershing’s 40th anniversary celebrations, the GTX70 is the newest model in the Ferretti Group brand’s line of ‘sport utility yachts’.

Pershing has revealed photos and details of its GTX70, which had its world premiere at this year’s Venice Boat Show and was then a star at Pershing’s 40th anniversary celebrations in Capri in July. Following the GTX116 and GTX80, the three-cabin GTX70 is the newest and smallest model in the brand’s range of ‘sport utility yachts’, with an overall length of 21.76m and a 5.42m beam.

Fitted with three 900hp Volvo Penta D13-IPS1200 engines, the GTX70 reaches 36 knots and has a cruising speed of about 30 knots (preliminary data). Advanced technology on the CE Class A yacht includes Volvo IPS electro-hydraulic steering, Humphree Interceptor trim control and Seakeeper gyroscopic stabilisers.

Pershing, GTX70, Venice Boat Show, Capri, Vallicelli Design, Ferretti Group, Product Strategy Committee, Piero Ferrari, Engineering Department, sportbridge, Plug and Mould, Forli, Mondolfo

Vallicelli Design and the Ferretti Group’s Product Strategy Committee, led by Piero Ferrari, and Engineering Department collaborated on the design of the sportbridge model. The GTX70 is produced at the Ferretti Group Plug and Mould facility in Forli and completed at Pershing’s newly expanded production facility in Mondolfo, along with the other GTX models.

The exterior features a sleek deckhouse and a near-vertical bow connected to the keel line. Pershing states that the GTX70 offers 30 per cent more exterior space and 10 per cent more interior space “than the areas available on other models in the same category”.

The impressive beach club expands to 23sqm when the side terraces are deployed, widening the aft beam to 8m. The central swim platform can be level with the beach club or lowered using dual linear lift technology, enabling it to launch or retrieve a jetski or Williams TurboJet 325 tender.

On the first unit, the beach club incorporates an aft-facing triple sunpad and is also furnished with a deckchair and an armchair by Modenatech, two carbon-fibre design elements. An optional retractable electric awning can be added to shade the beach area.

Three steps lead up to the main deck and a cockpit shaded by the sportbridge overhang and furnished to port with a C-shaped sofa and a table. The area is directly connected to the U-shaped galley on the port side by a retractable up-down glass panel, while guests enter the interior via a folding door on the starboard side.

The widebody structure creates a large saloon featuring facing L-shaped sofas, as well as an extending table to port, and an up-down TV behind the starboard sofa. Lighting by Altraluce features decorative LED light strips in the ceiling, helping diffuse lighting across the entire deck.

The raised helm station has two monitors and a joystick between the two pilot seats. There’s also a starboard door to provide access to the bow area, which can be fitted with a sunpad and a dinette containing an up-down table that can be lowered and covered to provide one big sunbathing area.

The staircase to port leads to the lower deck, which includes three en-suite guest cabins. The full-beam master suite is midships and includes a walk-in wardrobe next to the bathroom, both positioned aft to provide further separation between the bedroom and engine room.

The VIP cabin is located forward and has a double bed with the headboard against the starboard side to create more usable floor space, while the guest cabin has two beds arranged crosswise. The laundry room can be accessed from the hallway, while the crew area is forward and contains bunk beds and a bathroom.

Up top, the sportbridge spans 16sqm and features a wide sunbathing area aft, an L-shaped dinette with extending table and an outdoor galley athwartships. Forward is a three-seat helm station with the wheel on the starboard side, which allows a skipper to look aft down the starboard staircase to the cockpit when mooring.

Shade for the dining area, galley and helm station can be provided by a folding awning with carbon-fibre poles or, on request, an innovative bimini top with prepreg carbon-fibre poles and a streamlined design.

In 2020, Jean-Marc Poullet shared that the Burgess operation in Asia had secured 12 superyacht transactions in the five years since he co-founded the regional chapter of the global brokerage house. This year, as the Asia division celebrates its 10th anniversary, Poullet was happy to share with Yacht Style that his team recently completed their 40th transaction of the past decade.

Just as significant as the number of transactions is the size of yachts that Burgess has helped buy or sell for its clients in Asia over the past 10 years, with the yachts averaging about 53m in length – and including six above 75m. This is significant, even on a global scale.

The scale of the yachts Poullet and his team are buying and selling is also one of the reasons Burgess won the ‘Global Brokerage in Asia, Above 40m’ category at this year’s Yacht Style Awards in Singapore. The gala dinner at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove was held on the eve of the Singapore Yachting Festival, and provided a fitting place to honour the company’s achievements.

“It’s always nice to receive an award, but it’s more rewarding to see the team’s hard work help deliver the best-possible results for our clients, making successful transactions and charters happen,” says Poullet, who was joined on stage by colleagues including Mark Woodmansey and Hwee Tiah – his first two hires after setting up the company a decade ago – and Monaco-based Jiyu Xie.

“We officially launched our Asia operation in April 2015 at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove, during the then Singapore Yacht Show, so we had our 10-year celebration at the same marina during this year’s Singapore Yacht Festival. The marina has a special place in our hearts.”

TEAM BUILDING

Poullet, who keeps his 33m yacht at ONE°15 Marina, has been based in Asia since 1993. He became Burgess’ Chairman for Asia after retiring as a Senior Partner of McKinsey & Company following more than 25 years of advising leading Asia-based businessmen and entrepreneurs, skills that helped him transition to the superyacht industry.

An 85m Lürssen was among 2023 transactions by Burgess’ Asia team

“I feel great pride in what the Asia team has become and collectively achieved, rising from a start-up in 2015 to be the clear superyacht industry leader in Asia 10 years later. We were fortunate enough to help transact some very large yachts by global standards, something that I was not expecting when we started the [Asia] business 10 years ago,” Poullet says.

“It was a unique opportunity to build this Asia operation in partnership with Burgess, which is truly a world-class firm with very talented yachting professionals and unequalled expertise. I’m grateful to all the clients who trusted us to assist them with their yachting lifestyle and helped us grow our business over the years.”

The Belgian is quick to acknowledge the power of the brand, with Burgess long established as one of the world’s leading superyacht brokerages. Furthermore, Burgess’ head offices in the likes of Monaco and London have played a pivotal role in the success of the Asia chapter, helping to ensure the team is integrated into its work practices and adopts Burgess’ company values.

“The benefits of working with Burgess are very important, from brand recognition as a global leader to its exceptional accumulated experience and expertise over 50 years,” he says.

“There’s also a great global spirit of teamwork that makes colleagues work together across geographies and departments to provide the best-possible advice and service to customers. In Asia, we’ve adopted the same teamwork values, and work closely with our colleagues globally. It also just makes doing business more fun and interesting that way.”

Even so, Burgess’ close-knit Asia team has achieved a lot in just 10 years. Poullet hired Woodmansey and Tiah in the middle and end of 2015 respectively, with the pair joining him as the brokerage house’s most familiar faces in Asia.

Based in Hong Kong since 2003, Woodmansey spent over a decade with Simpson Marine before joining Burgess, holding the title of Head of Brokerage, Asia since 2018. Tiah is Burgess’ Head of Charter and Business Development for Asia, the Singaporean having formerly worked in the shipping and marine insurance industries.

“It has been great to see Mark grow into a top superyacht broker by global standards and certainly Asia’s most successful superyacht broker,” Poullet says. “Hwee’s roles evolved rapidly from marketing to business development to now heading our charter department. She’s great at building strong relationships and keeps a wide network of close friends in Asia’s yachting and luxury industries.”

The core leadership team for Asia is completed by Xie, who has been part of the ‘fab four’ since 2022, when he took on the role of Yacht Fleet Manager and New Build Advisor for Asia. Based in Monaco, he has been with Burgess since 2018, having obtained a Master’s in Maritime Engineering at the University of Southampton and spent 12 years with Lloyd’s Register in China and the Netherlands.

“Jiyu came to us with very strong maritime and yachting technical background, focused primarily on Lloyd’s certification of Amels new builds yachts. As the Fleet Manager for Asia, he manages yachts from 35m to over 100m. Collectively we combine about 60 years of superyacht industry experience, and coordinate Burgess’ Asia business in close collaboration with the global departments.”

WIDENING NETWORK

As well as solidifying its core leadership team, Burgess has steadily widened its network of Associates across the region in addition to Japan-based Lyu Kamikage, who has represented Burgess since 2010. Since 2019, that network has also included Julian Chang in Singapore, and Boat Lagoon Yachting for Thailand, with Vrit Yongsakul and Alister Brunskill.

More recent appointments include Anju and Gautama Dutta of India’s Yacht Solutions, Edwin Ho of Hong Kong’s Starship Yachts, and Leo Yang of Wanda and Shanghai Yachting Prestige in mainland China.

“Our Associates are all very experienced Asian yachting professionals, typically representing global leading brands in their market, and each with their own network of clients, typically more active in the sub-30m range. They all have business values like ours and are nice people to hang out with,” Poullet smiles.

“Occasionally they have clients who want to upgrade to larger yachts or charter a large yacht, so we collaborate with them to advise and assist their clients. It’s a very synergetic relationship.”

A 92m Oceanco was among 2023 transactions

Poullet says Burgess has not only survived but thrived during the post-Covid era. In fact, 2023 stands out as the company’s strongest year to date in Asia, with four very large yacht transactions headed by a 92m Oceanco, an 85m Lürssen and a 75m Amels.

Last year was also a good year, with its four transactions comprising a 55m Amels, 42m Custom Line, 42m Sanlorenzo and 29m Princess, while a 28m Sanlorenzo new build and 40m Princess have been among transactions this year.

“Our strategy and focus have remained the larger yachts segment and providing world-class yachting advice and services to our Asia customers anywhere in the world,” Poullet says. “Moving forward, we plan to be more active in the 30-40m segment in closer collaboration with our Associates, adding resources in our team to identify and market high-quality yachts in this segment.”

As Poullet and his team prepare to lead Burgess’ Asia operation into its second decade, the regional yachting market is in a soft state, especially when compared to the Covid surge. In addition to China’s economic challenges, there are also fresh global geo-political challenges around the globe including conflicts in Europe and the Middle East, as well as volatile US trade strategies.

“Inevitably, the current macro-economic and geo-political challenges are slowing down the growth of Asia’s yachting market. However, any industry in Asia has always been made of ups and downs, with more ups than downs, and yachting is no different,” Poullet says.

“If I look back over our first decade, I guess I was hoping the Asia superyacht market would develop a bit faster. While there has been continuous steady growth, we’ve not yet seen the acceleration the region’s potential could justify. Sanlorenzo Asia Pacific (APAC) has announced a partnership with Vrit Yongsakul to establish Sanlorenzo Thailand, a new company dedicated to the sales of Sanlorenzo and Bluegame yachts in the Kingdom. Sanlorenzo’s presence in the region has grown significantly in Asia since 2015 following representation by Simpson Marine, which has been owned by the Italian builder since March 2024, leading to the expansion of the dealership’s remit and the creation of Sanlorenzo APAC.

Through the partnership with Simpson Marine, Sanlorenzo has solidified its presence across key markets such as Hong Kong, Singapore, mainland China, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia, while Sanlorenzo Australia and Sanlorenzo Vietnam were inaugurated last year. Over 100 yachts have been delivered to yacht owners across the region, where Sanlorenzo Service hubs in Hong Kong and Thailand cater to North Asia and Southeast Asia respectively.

Daniele Lucà, CEO of Sanlorenzo APAC and Simpson Marine, said: “We are delighted to welcome Vrit and his team into the Sanlorenzo family. Vrit’s deep understanding of the Thai market, his passion for the brand, and his entrepreneurial spirit make him the ideal partner to drive the next phase of growth by Sanlorenzo and Bluegame in Thailand. This collaboration ensures that our clients in Thailand will receive the highest standards of brand experience.”

Vrit is the founder and Chairman of Boat Lagoon Yachting, which was formed in 1994 and represents Princess, Jeanneau and Sacs, while he is also a representative of Burgess in Thailand. Sanlorenzo Thailand is a new venture for the Thai national, a recurring presence in Yacht Style’s annual Asia Yachting Leaders feature.

“I have always admired Sanlorenzo for its artistry, elegance and bespoke design philosophy uniquely tailored to the needs of superyacht owners with a crafted made-to-measure approach and a range of innovative products. It is a privilege to represent such an iconic brand in Thailand,” Vrit said.

“With the launch of Sanlorenzo Thailand, we aim to elevate the luxury yachting experience for Thai clients and strengthen the brand’s visibility in one of Asia’s most dynamic markets, with existing infrastructures, regulations and mindset to support its growth.”

Sanlorenzo Thailand will be headquartered in Phuket and has “plans to establish a strong presence across Thailand’s key coastal yachting hubs”, according to Sanlorenzo APAC.

Nick Stratton, Chief Sales Officer at Sanlorenzo APAC and Simpson Marine, added: “Thailand continues to host numerous Sanlorenzo yachts and superyachts. This new and exciting collaboration only strengthens the country as a key yachting destination in Southeast Asia, combining local experts and direct service from Sanlorenzo APAC.”

Following the establishment of the new company, a series of exclusive events will be held across Thailand, inviting yacht owners and customers to experience the new partnership. Sanlorenzo’s new models include the SD132, while the SX120 and SL110A will also be among world premieres at the Cannes Yachting Festival from September 9-14.

The inauguration’s ribbon-cutting ceremony

Giovanna Vitelli and Marco Valle, Azimut|Benetti Group’s Chair and CEO respectively, and Andrea Archinà, the Mayor of Avigliana, inaugurated the new Azimut Yachts headquarters, which will open its doors to staff from September. The new headquarters is part of a €50 million investment plan for the Avigliana production facility, which has a total of about 1,500 employees.

AMDL Circle and Michele De Lucchi spearheaded artistic direction for the brand’s new-look headquarters, which included restyling of the main building and construction of the new multifunctional pavilion. Offices were completely renovated based on an architectural design by Settanta7, while the project included a significant energy efficiency upgrade.

Marco Valle, Giovanna Vitelli and Avigliana Mayor Andrea Archinà

The aim of the project was to sensitively reinterpret the original architectural concept of Gabetti & Isola, which designed Azimut|Benetti Group facilities in the Piedmont, Liguria and Tuscany regions in the 1990s.

Vitelli, daughter of company founder Paolo Vitelli, said: “I had the image of the Louvre pyramid in mind. A statement of changing times but above all a sign of how the new finds its full power in its relationship with the grandeur of the past. Azimut has a history spanning more than 50 years, and the best way to honour it is to continue evolving, as my father always did.”

AMDL Circle – Azimut’s longtime creative partner and creator of the iconic ‘yacht in the pool’ at Bagni Misteriosi during last year’s Milano Design Week – added an entrance pavilion, the first stop on the new heritage walk that takes you through Azimut’s history. The new pavilion includes a metallic volume, reminiscent of the nautical world, resting on an historic brick structure.

The water feature’s surface reflects the models of Azimut’s ‘firsts’, a tribute to the key stylistic and technological innovations of the brand’s yachts “born in the mountains”.

Among these was the introduction in 2003 of hull glazing in place of traditional portholes, to bring more natural light into cabins. This visionary development is echoed in the new Avigliana headquarters, with the windows extended for floor-to-ceiling glazing, underscoring the continuity between nautical innovation and the design language of this project.

The layout of the new headquarters symbolises an evolution of Azimut’s work model, focusing now on collaboration and teamwork, and moving beyond traditional hierarchical structures. Transparency dominates an architectural language that transcends aesthetics to give shape to Azimut’s vision of “a work culture based on openness, connection and trust”, with glass replacing walls, and shared environments instead of closed, oversized executive offices.

The panoramic meeting rooms, Gogamigoga, Goga and Goghina, are named after Paolo Vitelli’s boats, reflecting the company’s heritage.

A pinnacle of modern Azimut is the new Virtual Reality room, the creative and technological heart of the building, where the technical and style offices collaborate daily. Owners and guests are also welcome to use virtual reality, so selecting layouts, furnishings, colours and fabrics “becomes an immersive and personalised experience”, according to Azimut.

Gulf Craft, parent company of the Majesty, Nomad, Oryx and SilverCat brands, has announced that it’s offering a fully regulated crypto-payment solution for yacht and boat purchases, service, and refit works.

Headquartered in the UAE, the shipyard is working with Bahrain-licensed fintech provider ARP Pay, with the payment converting stablecoins such as USDT and USDC into AED or USD. The launch of Gulf Craft’s new offering aligns with UAE’s ambition to become the world’s most crypto-friendly country, supported by VARA regulations, free-zone exchanges and a 24/7 fintech talent pool.

Mohammed Alshaali, Gulf Craft’s co-founder and Chairman, said: “By integrating ARP Pay, Gulf Craft not only meets evolving client preferences but also strengthens the UAE’s reputation for forward-looking manufacturing and financial innovation. The UAE was built on maritime trade and early adoption of new ideas. Embracing regulated digital payments is a natural next step.”

A recent pilot allowed part of a yacht purchase price to be settled in cryptocurrency, cutting transaction costs and improving client satisfaction among international buyers.

Erwin Bamps, Gulf Craft’s Group CEO, said: “Adding a crypto option future-proofs our customer experience. We stay ahead of the curve by adopting technologies that shape tomorrow’s commerce and by tapping into the growing segment of crypto holders who prefer paying with digital assets.

“Whether a client is taking delivery of a Majesty or Nomad yacht or purchasing any boat or power catamaran across our Oryx or SilverCat ranges, they can now transact through a channel that is fast, transparent and fully compliant.”

A preview of Singapore’s most ambitious invitation-only membership to date

BY Esquire Singapore

(VANTA)

Don’t you love it when we play into the Crazy Rich Asians image that the world has of Singapore? We’ve got a couple of private clubs going, but a SGD30 million one? Yeah, it’s about time we raised the stakes.

Spanning a hefty 16,000 square feet at the newly transformed MacDonald House, you should know Vanta took two years of dedicated development. The extensive design seeps into every detail, from architectural layout to cultural curation.

Inside the two-level dining and lounge, Italian marble and quartz finishes are amongst the bespoke materials you’ll spot. And yes, the mezzanine towering over the main salon offers both panoramic views and discreet enclaves. Besides private dining rooms for immersive tastings and hosted masterclasses, the space also sports an impressive AI golf simulator to match.

Since gastronomy is the unofficial national obsession though, great sophistication goes into Vanta’s culinary approach. Michelin-starred Consulting Chef Alvin Leung helms the bold programme, so there’s much to anticipate from this innovative approach.

(VANTA)

Members also gain access to-the best part, in our humble opinion-an ever-evolving collection of investment-grade whiskies. Specially sourced, collectible bottlings; all in one storied cellar. Limited-releases also include vintages from some of the world’s most prestigious vineyards, coveted junmai daiginjo from legendary Japanese producers, and more.

“At Vanta, exclusivity isn’t about status-it’s about significance,” says Wayne Lin, Vanta CEO. “We’ve designed this club for individuals who are actively shaping conversations and leading change across industries. It will be a place where connoisseurs, especially those with a passion for whisky, wine and sake, can connect, collaborate, and define what’s next for business and culture.”

Vanta is set to open December 2025

Monaco Yacht Show organisers have publicised its online list of exhibiting yachts, with Feadship’s new 118m Breakthrough the largest in the provisional line-up two months ahead of the September 24-27 show. Featuring exterior and interior design by British studio RWD, the hydrogen fuel-cell superyacht is the largest Feadship build to date.

Organisers stated that nearly half of the current list of exhibiting superyachts will be unveiled as world premieres – marking a show record – and that they expect about 120 yachts at the annual superyacht spectacle.

The 85m Lürssen Gigia (2017) and Feadship’s new 79.5m Valor are among the next-biggest yachts along with Bilgin’s new 80m Al Reem, which was recently pictured in sea trials with the 50m Camila, also set for the Monaco show.

The Italian Sea Group’s aqua-blue 77.7m Project 595 (2024) and 72.3m Armani-designed Project 595 (2025) are among 70m-plus builds, along with Amels’ 70m Energy (2022).

Benetti is expected to exhibit its new Project FB287, the second B.Now 67M with Oasis Deck, and a new B.Now 50M, while sister shipyard Azimut is lining up new units of the Grande Trideck (38m), Grande 36 Metri and Grande 30 Metri.

Damen Yachting could potentially exhibit two new units of the Amels 60 and a new Yacht Support 53, while Sanlorenzo is listed as exhibiting a 58Steel and the SD132, which will first show at the Cannes Yachting Festival.

Gaëlle Tallarida, Managing Director of the Monaco Yacht Show, said: “Bringing together a fleet of this calibre every year is a challenge that only the Monaco Yacht Show consistently meets. The 2025 edition cements our global benchmark position, where innovation, exclusivity and sophistication converge, with a record number of superyachts revealed in world premieres.

“Nowhere else in the world can visitors discover, in one place, such an exceptional selection, from the latest builds by renowned shipyards to recently refitted yachts, all rigorously selected by brokers for sale or charter.”

Organisers also revealed that the list of Blue Wake™-certified exhibitors has risen to 28 a week ahead of the July 31 deadline for exhibitors to apply. Blue Wake is a Monaco Yacht Show programme, developed with the support of the Water Revolution Foundation and sponsored by Siemens Energy.

The approved exhibitors represent a wide variety of industry sectors including hybrid, electric or renewable energy propulsion systems, on-board wastewater management, thermal optimisation, shore-power systems, marine coatings, sustainable interior design, handling and lifting equipment, recyclable shrink wraps, biological systems, and marina infrastructures.

Exhibitors also represent cleaner energy sources, dual-fuel marine engines, eco-responsible tenders, and shipyards focused on bioclimatic structures, digitalisation of operations, renewable energy use or alternative propulsion.

Sanlorenzo SD132

Robert van Tol, Water Revolution Foundation’s Executive Director, said: “Blue Wake highlights MYS exhibitors that have been developing concrete, innovative eco-responsible solutions for the yachting sector over the past several years. Our mission is to ensure that only robust and operational initiatives are included in this programme, thereby guaranteeing the true credibility and viability of the solutions presented at the MYS.

“The Monaco Yacht Show plays a vital role in showcasing these efforts, reinforcing the collective commitment of the entire yachting industry towards a sustainable transition. Yet showcasing innovation is only half of the story. Real change happens when buyers choose to embrace and adopt these solutions in their new build and refit projects. That’s how we collectively move the yachting industry forward.”

The hulls for Leopard’s catamarans are benefiting from single-shot resin infusion at the Robertson and Caine shipyard in South Africa.

Leopard Catamarans, the catamaran brand from South African builder Robertson and Caine, has introduced single-shot infusion for hull construction. Building on the traditional three-step hull construction, the new method uses one shot of resin infusion to infuse the entire hull at once, bonding all core components in a straightforward, one-time process.

Providing an even distribution of resin, the technique leads to a more durable, stronger and lighter hull, removes the need for secondary bonding, and eliminates the need for structural repairs along the hull’s join lines, so enhancing overall integrity, according to Leopard.

Robertson and Caine has also adopted advanced acoustic leak detection. This technology verifies the vacuum system’s integrity before each infusion, further improving success rates.

The Cape Town shipyard’s other developments include carrying out a second phenolic hull sounding inspection on all vessels under construction. Carried out 30 days after the initial post-demoulding check, the inspection identifies any delayed anomalies and the testing of a thicker 600 CSM print blocker across all models to improve hull aesthetics and reduce the visibility of future rework.

Early this year, the shipyard updated all mould-shop quality documentation, reinforced key hold points and added new focus areas to strengthen the hull process control. Improvements included a redesigned infusion resin feed pipe layout to reduce dry spots and voids, providing a more consistent and robust construction.

Robertson and Caine is currently developing and testing a new resin recipe with its supplier to slow down the infusion process and improve consistency during the southern-hemisphere summer, with implementation planned for the end of 2025.

“The shipyard is also working on a project to implement hull temperature control versus entire factory temperature control to limit the environmental impact, as resin and temperature are influential factors in successful infusion,” said a Leopard Catamarans spokesperson.

“We support these improvements and believe they will enhance our already robust yacht’s durability, quality, and overall craftsmanship.”
