In its 10th year as a patron of the arts, Sanlorenzo Asia-Pacific is partnering ART SG for the first time.

ART SG will return in January 2026, having attracted more than 40,000 visitors last year.

Sanlorenzo Asia-Pacific has announced that it will be an official partner of ART SG 2026, a major modern art fair held during Singapore Art Week (January 22-31). The fourth edition of ART SG will be held from January 23-25 at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore’s financial district.

Daniele Lucà, Sanlorenzo Asia-Pacific’s CEO, stated: “Our presence at ART SG is an extension of Sanlorenzo’s long-standing belief that true excellence is inseparable from culture and creativity.

“Following our successful presence at Art Basel Hong Kong and the opening of Sanlorenzo Casa in Venice [in 2025], we are proud to bring this dialogue to Singapore, a city that embodies innovation and cross-cultural artistic energy.

ART SG will feature panels led by influential artists and curators from across Asia.

“Through ART SG, we continue to explore new horizons where design, sustainability and art converge, welcoming our community for a curated series of experiences and encounters.”

First launched in 2023, the ART SG fair has proved popular for Southeast Asia’s artistic scene, with last year’s edition welcoming a total of 41,000 visitors while hosting 105 art galleries from 30 different countries.

The 2026 edition will feature an extensive line-up of installations and showcases from international and local art galleries, alongside film viewings and performances as well as panels led by artists and curators from across Asia.

Although this is the first time that Sanlorenzo Asia-Pacific is involved with ART SG, this year marks a decade of art patronage for the yacht brand.

Sanlorenzo Asia-Pacific’s partnerships in the art world began with its presence at Art Basel Hong Kong, following the global five-year partnership of Sanlorenzo and Art Basel, where the brand curated the prestigious Collectors Lounge, transforming it into an immersive space that celebrated Italian craftsmanship and contemporary art.

The superyacht industry starts 2026 in buoyant mood after a solid rise in brokerage sales last year – and record charter bookings for Fraser.

Sales of pre-owned 24m-plus yachts, Jan-Nov: 2024 v 2025

In Fraser’s Market Intelligence report in Yacht Style Issue 87, the superyacht brokerage house explained and illustrated reasons for confidence in the market, after the industry’s 2025 figures outperformed 2024 in many ways, as illustrated in the sales figures above and bar chart below.

Anders Kurtén, Fraser’s CEO, stated: “As our data shows, 2025 saw a significant increase in the total value of sales across both motor and sailing yachts on 2024, even while the average LOA changed little. In terms of size segments, the strongest increases were in the 50-65m and 24-30m sectors.

“From a more global perspective, insightful in-depth reports revealed various shifts in the patterns and geography of global wealth, including a surge in self-made billionaires in 2025.”

Kurtén revealed that 2025 was a particularly good year for Fraser across multiple segments including sales, charter and yacht management.

“We closed 2025 looking back on a healthy year for Fraser and for yachting in general. We recorded our best-ever charter season, with over 6,650 days enjoyed by charterers. Our Yacht Management department is now entrusted with over 130 yachts, more than ever before,” Kurtén wrote.

“And for the 15th consecutive year, more people bought and sold yachts with Fraser than with any other company – 35 per cent more than the closest competitor.

Ferretti Yachts flies high with 940

Another winning design collaboration between Filippo Salvetti and IdeaeItalia, the Ferretti Yachts 940 is the second-biggest model in the Italian builder’s Flybridge range, with highlights including a stunning main-deck master suite.

The Ferretti Yachts 940 was among Ferretti Group’s many world premieres in 2025

The Ferretti Yachts 940 immediately impresses with its sense of space, proportion, and design acumen, offering a sub-100ft yacht that feels far larger than its dimensions suggest.

At 28.97m overall with a 6.76m beam – just 5cm slimmer than the flagship 1000 – this is Ferretti Yachts’ second-biggest model in its Flybridge range and demonstrates how clever design can redefine expectations for yachts under 30m.

Every element has been designed to maximise space for guests, ensuring that luxury, light and functionality are experienced throughout the vessel.

The aft flybridge and cockpit can both feature loose furniture

The collaboration behind the 940 is as considered as the yacht itself. Exterior styling by Filippo Salvetti and interiors by IdeaeItalia harmonise with Ferretti Group’s Strategic Product Committee, chaired by Piero Ferrari, and the company’s Engineering Department.

The result is a yacht where dynamism, perceived lightness and dialogue with the environment are expressed through sweeping horizontal lines, panoramic glazing and sophisticated two-tone finishes.

HEART OF THE HOME

At the stern, a 32sqm cockpit sets the tone for life aboard. The space can be configured with facing sofas and a central table or, as seen on the first unit, with free-standing Minotti pieces that allow the area to breathe.

The cockpit features a transparent parapet

A glass parapet links the cockpit to the swim platform, subtly encouraging movement between sea and deck. The hidden transom garage houses a tender of up to 4.1m, which is deployed via a pantograph mechanism that lowers the swim platform below the water – a quietly ingenious touch that underscores Ferretti Yachts’ attention to detail.

From the cockpit, sliding doors open into the 30sqm saloon, where natural light floods through uninterrupted glazing. The interior starts with an L-shaped sofa to port and the choice of either a cabinet or facing sofa to starboard, reinforcing the yacht’s residential ambience.

The saloon, shown in IdeaeItalia’s Classic décor

Moving through the saloon, the seamless layout ensures fluid movement; each space feels connected yet distinct, a subtle orchestration of scale and proportion.

The forward dining area, seating eight around a bronze-glass table, is boosted by sliding doors on the starboard side, which allow a through breeze and open views across the water.

The dining area benefits from fresh air and views through sliding doors

For the interior, owners can select between Classic and Contemporary moods: the former emphasising warm, earthy tones, the latter bright woods and soft fabrics inspired by the sea. Both feel immediately refined yet welcoming, a quiet assertion of Ferretti’s ‘Just Like Home’ philosophy.

Forward, the master suite is a rare full-width cabin on a vessel of this size, and is executed with impeccable proportion and elegance. Detailed in Silver Roots marble, leather and tactile woods, it combines scale with intimacy.

v

The master suite starts with an entrance lobby and two steps down to a large walk-in wardrobe before the entrance to the main bedroom, a spectacular area with a forward-facing double, long windows on both sides and elegant design throughout.

In the bow, the en-suite bathroom mirrors the cabin’s generous proportions, offering a spacious shower and smoked-glass partitions that separate function from visual openness. The sense of calm here is deliberate; it’s a space that invites lingering, a full-width retreat rarely found on yachts of this length.

The spacious foredeck has sunbathing and seating

Outside, the foredeck continues this theme of considered proportion. A large sunpad for up to four people and a C-shaped sofa surrounding a central teak table are complemented by wide, unobstructed walkways for easy access to mooring equipment. An optional awning provides sun protection without disrupting the yacht’s clean lines – practical, considered and visually light.

UP TOP, DOWN BELOW

The 50sqm flybridge demonstrates the same intelligence in layout. Staircases from both the cockpit and the raised pilothouse encourage movement and flexibility.

Motoryacht, superyacht, flybridge, Ferretti Yachts 940, Filippo Salvetti, IdeaeItalia

Forward, the flybridge features a covered dining area, outdoor galley and bar

The central hardtop, which can include louvres, balances shade and openness, protecting the helm and dining area without ever enclosing them. The dining area comfortably seats nine, accompanied by Talenti furniture, while to starboard, a large outdoor galley with a bar counter rounds out the alfresco entertaining.

A structural arch along the aft gunwale is a sculptural flourish. Minimal and elegant, it reinforces the yacht’s horizontal lines while offering visual lightness. The stern area is fully customisable. Freestanding furniture, such as sun loungers or low tables, allows owners to tailor the space, emphasising that every element on the 940 serves both style and living experience.

Aft end of the flybridge

On the lower deck, the guest accommodation continues Ferretti Yachts’ mastery of proportion. Three VIP cabins and one convertible cabin with sliding beds each feature an en-suite bathroom and generous storage, offering privacy and comfort that exceeds expectations for a yacht of this length.

Crew quarters forward include a dinette, captain’s cabin and a twin bunk cabin with private facilities, while an optional configuration allows conversion of the captain’s cabin to a double, so accommodating up to four crew members.

The Ferretti Yachts 940 is offered with two MAN V12 engine options. Twin 2,000hp units achieve a top speed of 25 knots and a cruising speed of 21, while the 2,200hp V12X engines can power the yacht to 27 knots with a 23-knot cruise speed.

Motoryacht, superyacht, flybridge, Ferretti Yachts 940, Filippo Salvetti, IdeaeItalia

The foredeck has a four-person sunpad and a C-shaped sofa with table

CE Class A certification confirms that the yacht is capable of open-sea performance. Yet it’s not sheer speed that defines the 940; it is the sense of poise, the quiet authority in its motion. Hull design is optimised for both comfort and efficiency, so every journey – whether a short hop or extended cruise – feels effortless.

CLEVER DESIGN, ELEVATED LIVING

What distinguishes the 940 is how Ferretti Yachts has integrated superyacht-level design cues into a sub-100ft yacht without compromising scale or accessibility.

Floor-to-ceiling glazing, a main deck master suite, and seamless indoor-outdoor transitions are rare in this category, yet here they feel natural. The yacht’s proportions, layouts and even furniture choices work in concert to create spaces that are functional, comfortable and emotionally engaging.

Motoryacht, superyacht, flybridge, Ferretti Yachts 940, Filippo Salvetti, IdeaeItalia

Nighttime shot shows the clear views from the saloon through transparent bulwarks on both sides

The sense of rhythm and flow throughout the decks reinforces the ‘Just Like Home’ ethos. From cockpit to saloon, from master suite to flybridge, the yacht encourages movement, exploration and enjoyment. It is as suited to quiet reflection as it is to hosting, with spaces that adapt effortlessly to either.

In the sub-100ft category, the Ferretti Yachts 940 sets a new benchmark. Thoughtful design, intelligent proportion and a clear vision of how life on board should feel transform the experience of ownership. Every glance, every step, every interaction aboard communicates that this is a yacht designed for living, not just showing.

The 940 demonstrates that luxury is measured not in length but in the sense of space, light and freedom it provides. More than a statement of style, it exudes quiet confidence and intelligent design, creating a yacht where every detail enhances comfort, style and the beauty of life on the water.

Designed by Guido de Groot and Diana Yacht Design, the 30m superyacht features an asymmetric layout.

Van der Valk has revealed that construction is already underway on the 30m Project Berlin. Scheduled for delivery in the summer of 2027, the raised pilothouse yacht is built in aluminium with naval architecture by Diana Yacht Design, while Guido de Groot Design handled exterior and interior design.

Yoeri Bijker, Van der Valk’s Commercial Director, explained that the shipyard’s initial discussions with the owners about the project began in January 2025.

“They had been contemplating moving to another serial production build, but they wanted the opportunity to develop a custom interior layout and design,” Bijker said. “This was important to them as they anticipate staying on the boat for extended periods, from April until October. They are really building this boat for themselves, and not for charter nor for carrying many guests onboard.”

The yacht has a 7m beam and an asymmetric layout, with the portside crew passage slightly smaller than the guest side deck to starboard, allowing for more interior volume. Guido de Groot said: “Both indoor and outdoor living are very important to the owners, and we’ve worked really hard on maximising the layout.”

Project Berlin is topped by a large flybridge that includes an aft spa pool flanked by sunpads and sofas, a big outdoor galley with barbecue grill, seating and a dining area, while there’s also a sofa and sunbathing area forward.

Inside, a unique feature of the project is an airy main saloon featuring opening windows to allow a sea breeze to drift through the interior. Project Engineer Valentijn Roos described the design as “quite a challenge”, noting that “we have done drop-down windows before on previous projects, but not at this size”.

There are also opening windows in the full-beam owner’s suite forward on the main deck. The layout of the guest cabins has also been customised to the owners’ lifestyle, with just two spacious VIP en-suite rooms on the lower deck.

Bijker explained: “There would normally be four guest staterooms on a 30m yacht, but that simply didn’t match the owners’ way of using this vessel. In fact, that’s one of the reasons why they were leaning toward building something custom.

Project Berlin will be powered by twin MTU engines and have a top speed of 25 knots, while its 2m draft will enable the yacht to visit shallower bays and anchorages. The yacht includes a generous crew area with three cabins, plus a tender garage designed to carry a Williams DieselJet 415.

Celebrating its 160th anniversary, Zenith honours the legacy of its El Primero and its core competency in chronometric precision.

Zenith G.F.J. watch

For the true watch enthusiast, the story of Zenith is not merely a timeline of calibres and case shapes; it is a narrative of audacity and continuity. Well, it is a story of calibres and watches but it has a meaning that speaks directly to the reason people collect watches.

As the Manufacture in Le Locle celebrates its 160th anniversary in 2025, we look back at a legacy defined by a single, upward gaze — the same gaze that inspired a young visionary to name his company after the highest point in the night sky. Not his own name, but an ideal or goal.

One evening, struck by the complexity of the cosmos, he saw his mechanics as a mirror of the celestial order, adopting the name Zenith and the five-pointed star as his symbol. But we are getting ahead of ourselves because Favre-Jacot was not just a starry-eyed dreamer but a practical industrial wizard.

The story begins in 1865, in the frosty Jura mountains. While the Swiss watchmaking industry relied on a fragmented system of établissage – where scattered artisans made individual parts – 22-year-old Georges Favre-Jacot dreamt of unity. He constructed the first true manufacture in history, bringing every discipline of watchmaking under one roof in Le Locle. His goal was not just efficiency, but the creation of the “perfect watch.” In its heyday, the manufacture sparked a change in how Swiss watchmaking organised itself.

Zenith

This foundational decision to integrate all skills, what we call vertical integration today, is what allowed Zenith to become the “Master of Chronometry.” By the mid-20th century, the brand had amassed an unbeaten record of 2,333 chronometry prizes, a testament to an obsession with precision that remains the brand’s heartbeat today.

Savior in the Attic

Zenith

Of course, no story about Swiss watchmaking is complete without healthy servings of drama. Zenith’s story of triumphs is accompanied by turns towards disaster. Thus, no enthusiast’s retelling of Zenith is complete without the legend of Charles Vermot.

When the Quartz Crisis threatened to erase mechanical watchmaking in the 1970s, it was Vermot, a humble chronograph specialist, who defied orders to scrap the tooling for the legendary El Primero. He secretly hid the presses and plans in the manufacture’s attic.

Vermot’s act of rebellion saved the world’s first high-frequency automatic chronograph—launched in 1969 and beating at 36,000 vph or 5 Hz – ensuring that Zenith’s mechanical heart would beat on. Today, that heart still beats and has established Zenith as a maker of properly iconic chronographs.

Zenith G.F.J. watch

The El Primero has also evolved to beat faster than ever, becoming the El Primero 9004. This movement is capable of measuring 1/100th of a second, with a second escapement dedicated to the chronograph that beats at the phenomenal rate of 360,000 vph or 50 Hz.

Thus, Zenith’s 160th anniversary is not just a celebration of survival, but of simultaneous continuity and revival. It is why the manufacture not only began in Le Locle, it stayed there and remains there today. It was the biggest in the canton of Neuchatel and remains an impressive complex of 18 buildings. It is hard to imagine today but most of Swiss watchmaking is no longer where it began, marking Zenith as truly unusual.

Swept along by the ebb and flow of time, watchmaking’s industrial centres devolved into something resembling the supplier network of the établissage, only to be forced into consolidation by the Quartz Crisis, then to fragment again. It is now once more on the crest of a wave of vertical integration. For its part, Zenith remained anchored in Le Locle, from the difficult times all through to the renaissance of traditional watchmaking in early 21st century.

Zenith G.F.J. watch

In 2025, Zenith created a physical manifestation of its unyielding bridge between past and present in the form of the G.F.J. watch. A tribute to its founder, the watch might yet be a beacon on that bridge, lighting the way forward towards a hopeful future.

Powered by a modern re-engineering of the famed Calibre 135 – the most awarded movement in the golden age of observatory competitions – this platinum masterpiece recently won the Chronometry Prize at the 2025 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG). With a dial of deep lapis lazuli and a “brick” guilloché motif mimicking the manufacture’s façade, it serves as a tangible link between the 1950s chronometry battles and contemporary haute horlogerie.

From the attic of the manufacture to the podium of the GPHG, Zenith proves that its story is still being written. It is a story of those who do not just measure time, but dare to reach for the star that guides them.

The Defy Extreme Lapis Lazuli

Precision That Radiates in Blue

If the G.F.J. represents the classical past, the Defy Extreme Lapis Lazuli embodies the radical future. Released as part of the 160th-anniversary celebrations, this limited edition of 50 pieces is a high-frequency wristwatch that fuses the brand’s celestial inspiration with brutalist architecture.

  • The Dial: A slice of the cosmos. The openworked dial features counters crafted from lapis lazuli, a stone chosen for its deep celestial blue and natural pyrite inclusions that shimmer like distant stars. No two dials are alike.

  • The Engine: The El Primero 9004 calibre. It features two independent escapements: one beating at 5Hz (36,000 vph) for the time, and a second beating at a staggering 50Hz (360,000 vph) for the chronograph. This allows the central hand to make a full rotation every second, carving time into 1/100th of a second slices.

  • The Armour: A 45mm case of polished stainless steel contrasted with a microblasted yellow gold dodecagonal bezel and pusher protectors, creating a warm, matte radiance. That bezel itself is a two-piece wonder, with the top half in stainless steel.

Like many contemporary Zenith creations, the strap for the Defy Extreme Lapis Lazuli is effortlessly interchangeable. There are three options here, all included: a steel bracelet; a black embossed rubber strap with folding clasp; and a black Velcro strap.

Limitation: 50 pieces

Price: 32,900 CHF

Riva is producing a limited-edition series of 12 units of the Cento, which was launched last year to celebrate production of the 100th unit of the Rivamare. The 100th Rivamare was honoured in June 2025 at a private ceremony in Sarnico attended by Alberto Galassi and Jiang Kui, Ferretti Group’s CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors respectively, while the Cento was among Riva’s world premieres at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September.

Based on the design of the Rivamare, with a 39ft LOA and an 11ft 6in beam, Cento has succeeded the Rivamare in Riva’s Open series. Like all Riva models since 1994, the new model was penned by Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta, founders of Officina Italiana Design, working with Ferretti Group.

The Cento’s hull is available in a dark ‘fireworks black’ metallic hue or a light grey aluminium colour. Equipped with two Volvo Penta D6 440 Aquamatic Duoprop DPI engines, the 39-footer reaches a top speed of 40 knots and a cruising speed of 31, while Volvo Penta software automatically adjusts the sterndrive to optimise trim when under way.

In addition, a Seakeeper NG6 gyroscopic stabiliser fitted as standard ensures stability at anchor and contributes to cruising stability. The Cento is also fitted with underwater lights that facilitate navigation and mooring operations in low-light conditions.

As shown in the photos, the leather cushions with ribbed finish – inspired by car design in the 1950s and ’60s – are available in either a beige ‘biscuit’ tone or aquamarine and white.

A surprise beach club emerges when the transom door opens out over the water to reveal two water-facing chaises longues with detachable cushions, plus storage for fenders and a Seabob. The retractable gangway fully integrated into the transom can be opened automatically.

Forward is a full-width sunpad with built-in cup holders. The cockpit is furnished with a C-shaped sofa that frames a foldable stainless-steel table, which features a glossy lacquered mahogany top and an up-down mechanism so it can be lowered flush with the cushions to form a second sunpad.

When required, the cockpit can be sheltered by a retractable bimini top operated by an electro-hydraulic mechanism integrated into the sofa backrest.

There are storage compartments for the life jackets and a shoe drawer. Aft of the port helm seats and companion seat to starboard are two units that include space for cocktail preparation accessories, a drawer refrigerator, a sink and work top, and an insulated cooler.

Two 15in or 24in Boening displays present all data relating to the engines, navigation, cartography, the Seakeeper and the sound system. The steering system is operated by a Volvo Penta joystick and benefits from an electric bow thruster. On the port side of the windscreen is the iconic searchlight inherited from the Aquarama and Aquariva.

On the hull side, the decorative grille that previously covered the air intake has been replaced with a new steel profile containing a polished mahogany insert, decorated with the name ‘Riva’ and a series of small stars.

Below deck is a the fully appointed galley on the starboard side, while the bathroom with separate shower cubicle is on the port side.

The first CLX96 has been sold and named Reunion by her new owners, who were introduced by David Johnson of Denison Yachting, while Panu Virtanen of CL Yachts represented the seller. Denison Yachting announced that Reunion has been added to its charter fleet and is available in the Bahamas this winter season from US$88,000 per week.

CL Yachts’ largest build to date, hull one of CLX96 was completed in 2022 and shown privately in Hong Kong before its official debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show later that year.

Described by CL Yachts as a ‘sea activity vessel’ (SAV), the yacht was designed by Jozeph Forakis. The yacht’s exterior features trawler-style, reverse-angle windscreens, a nod to the commercial heritage of CL Yachts’ parent company Cheoy Lee.

On the main deck, the reverse-angle windscreen has even been mirrored by the aft superstructure in a rarely seen design feature.

Other distinctive features include a vertical bow and a teardrop-shaped hull, with the forward part of the boat being wider than the aft. Eye-catching exterior spaces include the foredecks on both the main and upper decks, known as Terrazza Portoghese and Piazza del Sole respectively.

The huge flybridge reaches back almost as far as the main deck and features a big outdoor sky deck that connects to the interior sky lounge featuring the yacht’s sole pilothouse with twin helm chairs, lounge seating and opening windows on each side.

Forward of this is the Terrazza Portoghese, a large outdoor area that can be dressed with loose furniture like sunbeds.

The circular-themed Piazza del Sole on the main deck is arguably the yacht’s signature outdoor space.

Two large sunpads on each side can transform into sofas due to pop-up backrests, linking with the semi-circular, forward-facing sofa to create a circular ‘aperitif lounge’. The tables can be raised or lowered and covered with sunpads to large lounging areas, with adjustable, slanting backrests by the bulwarks.

At the other end of the boat, a huge swim platform can carry a tender or jetski, which can be deployed by a motorised Z-Lift swim platform, which further extends the living area so the boat stretches to 105ft in length. Storage for furniture and toys is inside the transom, through doors on either side of the full-height door to the engine room.

The yacht’s interior also has several innovative features including a main deck with two lounges and clear 360-degree views including through to the forward windows. The interior starts with the main living area, which leads to a long dining table that can benefit from clear views and a sea breeze through bi-fold doors to starboard.

CL Yachts, CLX96, Denison Yachting, David Johnson, Panu Virtanen, Cheoy Lee, Hong Kong, Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show

There’s an open galley with bar to port, while starboard is an enormous fridge, storage and the interior stairs to the flybridge. Further forward – in the absence of a main-deck helm – is a slightly raised lounge, ideal for cosy, intimate gatherings, while to starboard are stairs to the lower-deck.

Due to the teardrop shape of the hull, the master is forward and benefits from being in the widest part of the boat, over 24ft (7.3m). It has a large forward-facing bed under a big skylight, a huge TV, expansive windows and a full-width dressing room and bathroom in the bow, with glass doors and windows that can be tinted.

CL Yachts, CLX96, Denison Yachting, David Johnson, Panu Virtanen, Cheoy Lee, Hong Kong, Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show

A central hallway leads to the two guest cabins, which have aft-facing single beds that can slide together to become a double. Further aft down the hallway, the full-beam VIP stateroom has a forward-facing double and a portside bathroom with a huge window and slatted doors. There’s even a clever virtual skylight, using technology that senses the colour and brightness of the sky.

Much of the furniture is moulded and the desk-cum-sofas under the hull windows show Forakis’ flowing, industrial design at its best. Furthermore, there’s even a camera at the bow that can be relayed to the TVs – as on aeroplanes – so owners and guests can always tune in to see where they’re going and what lies ahead.

CL Yachts, CLX96, Denison Yachting, David Johnson, Panu Virtanen, Cheoy Lee, Hong Kong, Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show

Performance and seaworthiness are always a priority for CL Yachts, which uses carbon-fibre and fibreglass for strength and to reduce weight, along with weight-optimised stonework and furniture inside. Stone surfaces are thinned and then backed by rigid composite materials, while Tricel honeycomb is used in furniture to reduce weight by 20 per cent compared to solid wood or plywood.

The crew quarters are accessed by stairs leading down from the cockpit, underneath the exterior flybridge stairs. Situated aft of the VIP stateroom, the crew area includes two cabins and has access to the engine room, which includes the twin CAT C32 1,900hp engines that can power the boat to 27 knots and a cruising speed of 22 knots at 2,000rpm, impressive figures for an almost 97ft yacht.

Conceived by Luca Santella and designed by Zuccon International Project, Bluegame’s BGX83 builds on the success of the BGX63 and BGX73.

Bluegame will debut its new flagship BGX83 at Boot Düsseldorf, the world’s biggest indoor boat show, which will be held from January 17-25.

Carla Demaria, Bluegame’s CEO, commented: “BGX83 is the clearest statement of who we are today. Prior to launch, the very first units are already secured by clients, loyal Bluegame owners now embarking on their third Bluegame journey. This level of trust and loyalty is our greatest achievement, and it confirms that BGX83 is not just a flagship but a milestone for the brand.”

Designed by Zuccon International Project, with Piero Lissoni handling interiors on the first hull, the Bluegame BGX83 builds on the crossover concept introduced by founder Luca Santella – who was in Hong Kong last month – through Bluegame’s BGX73 and BGX63 models. With a 25m LOA, the superyacht is the largest vessel in the Bluegame fleet.

Santella, Bluegame’s founder and Head of Product Strategy, stated: “With the BGX83, we pushed the crossover philosophy to its absolute limit. We created a genuine apartment on the water where the perception of inside and outside disappears. From the expandable beach club to the full-beam master suite, every line is designed to deliver a superyacht experience in an 83ft yacht.”

The BGX83 features a hull designed by naval architect Lou Codega to optimise the yacht’s performance during extended cruising, while three Volvo Penta IPS 1,200 engines power the flagship to a top speed of 30 knots.

Developed with an owner-centric approach, the design of the new Bluegame flagship offers significantly increased volume particularly at the stern. The standout feature of the Bluegame BGX83 is the signature beach area with its hydraulic swimming platform, which can be extended even further into an outdoor lounge area due to a starboard side opening.

As a result of these increased spaces, the Bluegame BGX83 can offer up to three VIP cabins located on the same deck as the full-beam master suite, which spans a generous 6.3m in width. Discreet crew quarters are also situated on the same level. An additional upper saloon offers further panoramic views.

The layout of the Bluegame BGX83 is specifically designed to create a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces. The water-level aft saloon, which leads directly to the beach club, can be seen as a private extension of the owner’s suite, creating an uninterrupted flow throughout the yacht’s interior and exterior spaces.

The new Navetta 62 has the volume-boosting exterior lines that characterise this semi-displacement series, but spices up the equation with an extra shot of interior style. On a yacht where logic and intelligence rule, a light and contemporary touch takes things to a different level.

The Navetta 62 premiered at the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival

Absolute’s new Navetta 62 is a masterclass in how to think rationally and appeal globally in just over 18.5m. When it was founded in the early 2000s, the Italian shipyard was mainly building sport cruisers, but shipyard management has since found that flexibility of use has become the key to appeal today.

Sergio Maggi, Absolute’s co-founder, explains: “Clients used to want something fast, and they didn’t really care about living on the water. Times have changed. Our clients want a comfortable boat where they can entertain and stay aboard for extended periods of time. Now you need function and ease of use.

“We want to build boats that appeal to a broad client base, from nationalities who prefer indoor space to families and those who want to entertain friends aboard. We’re not focused on a Mediterranean market anymore.”

The Navetta 62 had its US debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in October 2025

While the Absolute outlook is broad ranging, the shipyard is based inland in Piacenza, and must contend with some very particular local constraints. Once built, the boats are transported via the autostrada to their launching sites, so must respect the height of overpasses and the width of tunnels.

Add that there are no star designers at Absolute and you begin to understand the genesis of the shipyard’s typical exterior lines: looks count, but interior volume counts even more. In typical Absolute style, the exterior look of the Navetta 62 is boxy and vertical, yet simple and appealing.

COCKPIT FREEDOM

Beginning a tour by boarding aft offers an excellent introduction to the types of intelligent solutions that make this shipyard’s production stand out. Boarding and launching water toys is easy due to a retractable passarelle and a 5.3m-wide hydraulic platform. Side compartments open to reveal a shower and water connections on one side and shore power connections on the other.

Motoryacht, superyacht, Absolute Yachts, Navetta 62, flybridge, semi-displacement

An Absolute signature, the cockpit features modular furniture

Look carefully and you’ll see that one of the symmetrical staircases that leads to the aft cockpit lifts to allow access to a crew cabin and laundry area that gets plenty of air and light through a large, wide transom window with a porthole. A door leads through the crew head to give easy access to the engine room.

Just upstairs from the beach platform, the large aft cockpit is where the easy living starts. The entire area can be left free and open or furnished with Absolute’s clever modular pieces, true transformers that can be seating, tables, loungers or just about anything else by joining elements or slotting pieces like armrests and backrests in or out.

“The owner is free to decide the setup that works best,” Maggi says.

Motoryacht, superyacht, Absolute Yachts, Navetta 62, flybridge, semi-displacement

The cockpit table can be raised and expanded for dining

The area is shaded by the overhang and gets breeze through openings in the gunwales. Light and views are assured by an aft closure in tempered glass. Owners can opt to install a wet bar plus a cleverly concealed mooring station on the starboard side.

LIGHT AND AIRY

The cockpit connects seamlessly to the galley just inside the saloon so the two areas can become a single space when the glass doors are opened wide.

Aft view of the lounge, dining area and galley, which all benefit from huge windows on both sides

The galley has marble-look Corian countertops and is well equipped with everything you need for preparing a meal and storing utensils. The induction cooktop has an integrated downdraft exhaust fan that frees up extra space for storage units above the stove.

While the cockpit-to-galley setup assures that entertaining is easy, the saloon is clearly an area designed for relaxing in good company. Large windows and excellent ceiling height make the saloon light and bright, and soft touches like linen curtains give it a home-like feel. Cream upholstery sets a discreet colour palette that lets the spectacular, all-round views play the starring role.

The window starboard of the dining table can be opened

Excellent, well-distributed ambient lighting comes from discreet LED rope lights in just the right tone of warmth inserted under the furnishings, around the window frames and in the ceiling. While fully set up with both living and dining areas, the saloon is easy to move through, with paths kept clear. A small touch that says large things is the drop-down window beside the dining table.

“We designed extra-large windows that open and close like car windows so there’s as much fresh air moving through the boat as possible,” Maggi says.

A smart, chic touch is the floor in distressed oak that combines good looks and excellent grip even in bare feet. Absolute is run by people who really go out to sea and know what you need to enjoy it, right down to what’s under your feet.

Port view of the sofa, which faces a high-low TV to starboard

The helm is fore, part of the saloon yet backed by a slated wooden partition that sets it apart from the living area. Everything you need for controlling the boat’s systems, including the electric circuits, is easy to access and a door leading directly to the side passage can be very handy when docking. It’s a perfect setup for safely enjoying the boat with family, friends and a minimal crew.

TWO FULL-BEAM CABINS

The full-beam owner’s cabin is fore on the lower deck, just a few steps down from the helm. “It’s the area that gets the most light and the least noise,” Maggi points out.

Motoryacht, superyacht, Absolute Yachts, Navetta 62, flybridge, semi-displacement

Forward, the master suite has a full-width bathroom in the bow

The cabin has a centrally placed double bed, a desk and plenty of storage, while furnishings are tastefully modern with contrasting textured and smooth surfaces to keep visual interest high. Large hull windows let light and views in, and have opening portholes for natural air circulation. The cabin’s full-width en-suite bathroom is fully fore and has a large shower to starboard.

The VIP cabin is midships, also full beam, with a centrally placed bed, a desk on the starboard side and an ingenious bathroom to port. The sink and vanity are open to the cabin, under a large window that converts to become a mirror at the push of a button.

Motoryacht, superyacht, Absolute Yachts, Navetta 62, flybridge, semi-displacement

The midships VIP suite has an open-style bathroom to port

What seem to be closet doors in textured, frosted glass on either side of the sink lead to separate toilet and shower compartments. Built on a lower level than the master cabin, this cabin’s hull windows are so close to the water that you feel like you could reach out and touch it.

A convertible twin cabin to starboard has beds that can slide together, while to port is a third bathroom, which also serves as a day head. Since the VIP is just as nice as the owner’s cabin, a family may want to use the aft two cabins while leaving the master cabin and its ensuite to their guests.

GREAT OUTDOORS

While the interiors are elegant, luxurious and very well thought out, the Navetta line – which includes models ranging from the 48 to the brand’s flagship 75 – has excellent outdoor areas.

Motoryacht, superyacht, Absolute Yachts, Navetta 62, flybridge, semi-displacement

The foredeck’s large sunpad has a backrest that can be moved forward to offer seating that faces aft to the table and sofa

The 62’s foredeck is a ‘this is the life’ space, set up with a couch, table and large island sunpad that easily converts to become an aft-facing sofa, another clever way to provide flexibility and ease of use.

But the flybridge is the 62’s crowning glory. A real dawn to dusk (and beyond) area, it has an open-air helm station and C-shaped couch fore, while under the hardtop is an outdoor kitchen, bar and dining area. Aft is a lot of free space for owners to arrange as they please, ideally with the same modular pieces used in the cockpit, again allowing lots of flexibility.

Motoryacht, superyacht, Absolute Yachts, Navetta 62, flybridge, semi-displacement

The flybridge includes a large galley and dining area under a hardtop, which can include solar panels

There are even options for the hardtop, which can have a retractable section or be fitted with solar panels to provide power to run the hotel load. “With the solar panels installed, you can drop anchor, turn off your engine and generators, and enjoy the clean air and silence,” Maggi says.

Absolute was an early adopter of Volvo Penta IPS pod drives and helming one of their yachts will make you a true believer too. Navetta 62 owners can choose to mount twin D13-IPS1200 or D13-IPS1350 engines.

Motoryacht, superyacht, Absolute Yachts, Navetta 62, flybridge, semi-displacement

Like the cockpit, the aft end of the flybridge can be arranged with moveable furniture

Either way, they will get a dependable system that combines ease of use and joystick controls with reduced noise, vibration and fuel consumption. And since these systems can be mounted further aft than conventional shaft drives, there’s extra room for things like that lovely VIP suite.

While anyone who boards the Navetta 62 will appreciate the detail and quality at first glance, before long it will be the planning, engineering and smart solutions that have them hooked. “We aren’t just talking about looks any longer,” Maggi concludes. “Along with function and ease of use, you need a boat that delivers on the water but is also comfortable and sustainable.”

The Absolute Navetta 62, with its safe and solid construction, well-planned design and touch of class, looks to be the boat that lets you say “Andiamo” in style.

Debuting at this year’s Thailand Boat Festival in Phuket Boat Lagoon from January 15-18, Dreamer Marine presents tailor-made ownership programmes, yacht charter and investment services. Araya Banlang, the company’s marine-loving founder, explains more.

Araya Banlang, founder & CEO, Dreamer Marine

“I’m excited, as this has been a while in the planning,” says Araya Banlang, whose decade-plus of experience across the banking industry and emerging energy technologies – requiring expertise in long-term planning, corporate strategy and value-driven investment – brings a solid foundation on which to build and launch her new venture, Dreamer Marine, in Thailand’s yachting capital: Phuket.

How do you define Dreamer Marine?

It’s a new hybrid model merging yachting, lifestyle and high-yield investment. Unlike traditional yacht brokers who focus solely on buying and selling vessels, Dreamer Marine positions itself as a strategic partner for investors, identifying yacht models with the strongest charter demand and highest yield potential in Phuket’s expanding luxury sector.

I’ve developed a company that offers a blend of premium yacht experiences with strategic investment opportunities. I believe we’re reshaping what yacht ownership and chartering can be in Thailand’s luxury yachting and tourism markets.

As far as the luxury yachting experience is concerned in Phuket and its surrounds, what sets Dreamer Marine apart from other charter and management operators?

Dreamer Marine is redefining what luxury yachting in Phuket can feel like, refined yet effortless, with a focus on modern models, licenced crews and truly tailored experiences. We call this philosophy ‘Lifestyle-Yachting’, reflecting our belief that time at sea should feel like an extension of one’s personal standards in life, rather than a one-off indulgence.

Araya Banlang, Dreamer Marine, Thailand Boat Festival, Phuket Boat Lagoon, Jeanneau, DB/37

Jeanneau DB/37

The company positions its yachting experiences as more than ‘boat trips’. Our charters are well planned, refined moments shared with family or loved ones, where every journey is seamless and meaningful.

In a market still shaped by refitted vessels and price-driven competition, Dreamer Marine sets a different benchmark: modern, well-maintained yachts operated with professional standards behind every voyage.

What kind of fleet are you offering?

Dreamer Marine officially launches with a brand-new Jeanneau DB/37, which arrived in late December [2025] and is our proof of concept for stocking new-generation yachting models.

The company expects rapid expansion of its curated fleet through investor partnerships, focusing on new types of sport yachts, power catamarans, family and event-ready flybridge motoryachts and luxury dayboats, aligned with the preferences of high-end travellers and luxury hotels, who we expect to be our clients.

We are in advanced discussions regarding a membership buyout structure, after which we plan to invest immediately in additional new yachts. We see our owned fleet as approximately five yachts as optimal – large enough to ensure operational flexibility, brand visibility and meaningful data on usage and yield.

Araya Banlang, Dreamer Marine, Thailand Boat Festival, Phuket Boat Lagoon, Jeanneau, DB/37

This initial scale enables us to adopt a ‘wait and see’ strategy – assessing market response, charter demand, hotel partnerships and investor appetite – before determining the next phase of expansion.

Rather than pursuing aggressive fleet growth for its own sake, we are focused on building a curated, high-quality fleet aligned with the preferences of high-end travellers, luxury hotels and long-term investors, ensuring each yacht added has a clear purpose, positioning and path to the company’s and investors’ performance.

Tell us more about your investor, membership and charter plans. Memberships and fractional ownership are the core of our long-term strategy, ensuring quality consistency and sustainable yield, while we will also charter a curated selection of yachts directly.

Each yacht, whether part of a membership programme, fractional ownership or direct charter, is operated under the same professional standards including International Maritime Organisation licensed Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping crews, capable of experience-led service matching our requirements.

While each membership is associated with a specific yacht, members are not restricted to a single vessel. If multiple members request the same yacht on the same date and travel dates are not adjustable, Dreamer Marine will offer alternative yachts of comparable standard within our fleet. This ensures members retain access to Lifestyle-Yachting without disruption.

Is Dreamer Marine also offering a fully managed ownership, for those not seeking a fractional plan?

Yes, this is a serviced programme option that we offer, too, with a large variety of yachts, crew, maintenance, insurance and other tailor-made options.

Araya Banlang, Dreamer Marine, Thailand Boat Festival, Phuket Boat Lagoon, Jeanneau, DB/37

Our fractional ownership programmes are really for those seeking consistent access without the complexity of full ownership. It offers straightforward usage without concerns over maintenance, berthing or ongoing operational costs. Each yacht is shared by a maximum of five members, ensuring generous availability and flexibility throughout the year.

What corporate yacht programmes do you offer?

We offer corporate yacht memberships, specifically tailored for luxury hotels, branded residences and premium organisations seeking a distinctive privilege for their clients and partners. Programmes can be customised to align with hospitality standards, styles and brand identity.

Phuket’s top resorts have long faced a shortage of modern yachts that meet their service standards. Dreamer Marine addresses this gap.

Can you explain the types of custom yachting experiences you present?

Rather than fixed itineraries, Dreamer Marine curates approved routes and experiences around each guest – from intimate romantic escapes to relaxed family journeys designed for the perfect day at sea. We collaborate with the best resort-style diving partnerships and watersports operators when requests are made for such activities.

Besides these requests, we also tailor personal, family or corporate events, to specific needs for yacht decor, music, entertainment and additional hospitality staff – all to a very high standard.

How will the fleet be maintained?

Behind every experience is a clear emphasis on professionalism – from preventive maintenance and safety checks to service protocols and crew training – allowing guests to simply arrive, step aboard and enjoy the ocean with absolute confidence.

Jiang Lin makes history in Hobart

At 60, Jiang Lin could have spent the year-end festive season with her feet up. Instead, she won one of the world’s toughest yacht races, the 630nm Rolex Sydney Hobart, with only one crew, becoming the first female to do so in the 80-year history of the event, and amid a record Chinese entry list.
Words: Bruce Maxwell; Photos: Rolex & Salty Dingo Media

When her relatively tiny 10m JPK 1030 yacht Min River, named for her ancestral homeland in Fujian Province, was confirmed winner of the premier IRC handicap prize, the Tattersall Cup, and of a Rolex Seamaster, it became the crowning glory in a rough race that saw all Asian entries finish, no mean feat in a heavy beating race that saw 35 of the 128 starters retire.

“I did not have hopes of winning,” she said in Hobart. “You think about all the 100-something boats, all the big boats and superb sailors out there. Not in my wildest dreams did I think this would come true for me. So no, I didn’t think about it. The best would be winning our division”.

Which, with the propitious sail number AUS888, she and co-crew, the French professional sailor Alexis Loisin, did as well as collecting overall honours.

Lee Seng Huang’s SHK Scallywag 100, formerly Syd Fischer’s Ragamuffin 100, kicked off the Asian challenge this year among the superyachts. Sponsor SHK is his leading investment and property firm Sun Hung Kai, although Lee also has Malaysian interests through Mulpha Australia with Sanctuary Cove, Hayman Island and other substantial holdings.

Team WhiteWave, aboard a Malaysian-built DK 46, Sail #8338, came about due to a partnership between Mark Griffith and Steve McConaghy of the eponymous boat builder in a Davidson 60 in Phuket. William Wu Liang joined them for a King’s Cup Regatta, and for this Rolex Sydney Hobart he supplied the crew from his WhiteWave Sailing Centre in Shenzhen.

An all Chinese crew was aboard the Beneteau 47.7 Marguerite, now owned by a Malaysian Chinese couple and run for the Rolex Sydney Hobart by RYA Yachtmaster and Australian Sailing Keelboat Instructor Aaron Zhou and his wife Joanne Wu.

Because yachting mostly evolved on the China Coast in Hong Kong, various Asian-Australian expats also took part, including investment banker Geoff Hill and his daughter Tash aboard the Santa Cruz 72 flyer Antipodes, and equally well-known Drew Taylor remarkably completed his 30th Rolex Sydney Hobart with dad Bruce on modest Chutzpah.

The race was first won by a Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club entry in 1973, when solicitor Bill Turnbull quietly triumphed in Ceil 111, and Karl Kwok was the first Chinese male to win in 1997 on Beau Geste. His sail number was HKG 1997.
