Jeanneau unveils Merry Fisher flagship

The French builder has launched the Merry Fisher 1295 Fly ahead of the model’s world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival.

The Merry Fisher 1295 Fly features triple outboards

Jeanneau has launched the Merry Fisher 1295 Fly, which features three 300hp Yamaha outboard engines and is the new series flagship. A big step up for Merry Fisher models, the 1295 Fly has an overall length of 41ft 2in, making it almost 7ft longer than the 1095, the former flagship and first model in the range to offer a flybridge.

The Merry Fisher 1295 Fly has a large aft cockpit featuring an L-shaped sofa and an electrically controlled starboard terrace that can be used as a balcony over the sea, providing easy access to the sea. Up front, accessed by two walkways, the foredeck features three integrated sun loungers.

The flybridge has seating and sunbathing areas

The large flybridge offers large social spaces with a C-shaped sofa and a table to port, while there’s also a refrigerator and an optional galley. The upper helm is to starboard, while forward is a full-width sunbathing area protected by a curved windscreen.

The aft galley connects with the cockpit

The cockpit and interior are well integrated, with the galley open to the outdoors and offering a pop-up bar top aft that further links the inside and outside.

The saloon features a C-shaped sofa

The saloon enjoys good natural light from the windows and features C-shaped seating around the main table to port. To starboard is the helm featuring a dual GPS screen as well as joystick and autopilot technology, while the skipper enjoys easy access and fresh air through a starboard door.

Forward stairs lead to the lower deck, which offers three guest cabins including the owner suite with en-suite bathroom in the bow, while the two guest cabins midships share a portside day head that includes a separate shower.

Designed for triple 300hp outboards, the hull has been developed to plane early, even at moderate speeds, to improve fuel efficiency and comfort. The Merry Fisher 1295 Fly can also be equipped with a generator, air-conditioning, a gyroscopic Seakeeper stabiliser and a hydraulic gangway.

Simpson Marine’s Hainan office supported the luxury fashion house by supplying two Lagoon sailing catamarans for the Dior Riviera event in Sanya.

Simpson Marine recently extended its partnership with Dior China on their unique customer events related to the sea, collaborating on a Dior Riviera activation in Sanya after working together on a client event in Shenzhen in spring.

The Dior Riviera event involved helping create a ‘summer cruise pop-up’ that Dior also organised in various worldwide locations. The China event was held in Sanya, where the fashion house established an impressive display in the exclusive setting of L’Edition hotel.

Dior invited its VIP customers from all over China for a three-day/two-night experience in Sanya, where Simpson Marine’s Sanya team provided two new Lagoon catamarans for lifestyle activations in the programme.

Simpson Marine staff were on hand to welcome Dior clients on board Lagoon 46 and Lagoon 450 models for cruising around the beautiful waters off Sanya.

Dior Riviera is inspired by the azure ocean and sunny summer days,” Dior stated. “The newly released capsule collection is a reinvention of the House’s style fundamentals in a fluorescent colour palette of blue and orange. The Polish builder will showcase four models including a world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival before displaying two large catamarans at the Monaco Yacht Show.

Celebrating its 20^th anniversary this year, Sunreef Yachts has announced its line-ups for both the Cannes Yachting Festival (September 6-11) and Monaco Yacht Show (September 28-October 1), the two highlights of Europe’s autumn boat show season.

The Polish catamaran builder will exhibit four power and sailing models at Cannes including the world premiere of the Sunreef 80 Eco (click to read Review). The first 80 Eco includes a revolutionary patented composite-integrated solar power system with cells built into the hulls, superstructure, bimini and mast. The 80-footer is also able to generate green energy while under sail due to a modern hydrogeneration system.

Sunreef’s sailing models at the SAIL 138 stand in Port Canto, home to the show’s sailing yachts, will also include a Sunreef 70 designed for private and charter use and a highly customised Sunreef 60, both part of the builder’s current ‘New Beginnings’ range of models. A Sunreef 80 Power will be on display at the QML 196 stand in Vieux Port, the show’s main hub and home to all the motor yachts.

Asia Yachting showcases four brands in Repulse Bay

The regional dealer exhibited Prestige, Fountaine Pajot and Nautique yachts at its floating showcase in Repulse Bay, with an MCY model also available for viewings.

Asia Yachting showcased nine yachts by Prestige, Monte Carlo Yachts, Fountaine Pajot and Nautique at its successful on-water Open Day on the south side of Hong Kong Island. Over 150 guests attended the Asia Yachting Open Day over the two days, which included shuttle transfer to a floating showcase in the middle of Repulse Bay.

Prestige enjoyed the standout display and included the French builder’s flagship, widebody X70 as well as the 420, 520, 590 and 680 flybridge models.

Another favourite was Monte Carlo Yachts’ MCY 70 Skylounge, which was moored separately to the other boats at the floating showcase. Adapted from the new MCY 70, the Skylounge version offers an enclosed flybridge featuring the yacht’s only one helm station.

The Skylounge design offers larger and more numerous indoor areas, and increases the ability to be used in all seasons, an attractive feature especially among the retired guests, according to Asia Yachting.

The Nautique GT23 and G25 Paragon

Nautique G23 and G25 Paragon wakeboats were also on show and proved popular with younger guests. The G25 Paragon features a 600hp engine and a configurable lounge area that converts from a social space to viewing area, ideal for a group of friends. A Fountaine Pajot MY6 power catamaran was also on show at the platform.

The Prestige X70 generated huge interest

Celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, the Singapore marina has organised a series of sustainability-focused events and exhibitions in September.

Already accredited as a Platinum 5 Gold Anchor and Level 4 Clean Water marina, ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove (ONE°15) is hosting a month-long campaign in September dedicated to building awareness on ocean conservation, with a focus on sharks, stingrays and corals.

Building on its many sustainability initiatives including annual eco-dives and lining with its 15th-anniversary celebrations, ONE°15 wants the Eco Month to engage, educate and empower the public with the knowledge of how to help protect seas and coastlines.

Jonathan Sit, General Manager of ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove, said: “Water provides us with sustenance and leisure. It’s only natural we take the responsibility to solidify our efforts towards sustainability one step at time.

“We are on a mission to educate our members and the public on how everyone can play their part in being eco-conscious. On this note, it is timely that we celebrate our 15th-year milestone by shining the spotlight on key marine life and show how the luxurious and the sustainable can co-exist in many ways.”

A Coral Garden tour, scheduled to be held on September 11, will allow participants to learn about the marina’s coral restoration efforts and watch a new sea bin in operation, with the technology supplementing existing routines for cleaning the surface of the water.

On the same day, the marina will also host an Eco Talk with Sam Shu Qin, ONE°15’s Eco Advisor, who will explain how coral reefs contribute to the ecosystem while also recounting her expeditions as a marine scientist.

Throughout the month, ONE°15 is hosting an exhibition about sharks, stingrays and corals, revealing why they’re vital indicators of the ocean’s health.

In tandem with the exhibition, the marina is running a social media campaign focused on fun facts about marine conservation while encouraging the community to take charge of their own carbon and plastic footprint. To incentivise engagement, weekly giveaways will be held on social media and participants have the chance to win F&B vouchers and hotel nights at the marina.

Coral Garden

In conjunction with Eco Month, ONE°15 will also launch the Coral Garden Volunteer Program in a bid to make the project more sustainable and allow more members to enjoy it. Since the launch of the Coral Garden in 2018, ONE°15 has grown and transplanted over 239 different coral fragments in the joint project with the Tropical Marine Science Institute at National University of Singapore.

ONE°15 is also working to bring sustainability to on-land operations and recently installed an indoor vertical vegetable farm within one of its restaurants, adding to efforts to adopt sustainable food sources into its F&B operations.

The marina’s ongoing eco efforts include elimination of single-use plastics such as straws, takeaway containers, cutlery, hotel room toiletries and bin liners. The marina has pledged to eliminate all single-use plastics from operations by 2025, while upsized recycle bins have also been put in place at the marina to encourage more recycling of waste.

Princess to debut F65 at Southampton show

The Plymouth builder is staging the world premiere of the all-new F65 along with six other yachts at this year’s Southampton International Boat Show.

Princess Yachts’ seven-yacht display at this year’s Southampton International Boat Show (September 16-25) will be headlined by the global debut of the F65, the new flagship of the F Class of flybridge models.

The Plymouth builder’s other models on display comprise the F55, F50 and F45, the V55 sports yacht, S66 sportbridge and the Y72 from the larger Y Class flybridge motor yachts.

The Y72 on show will feature a new interior fabric range including materials from more sustainable sources than traditionally used fabrics, a taste of the builder’s upcoming Environmental and Sustainability Programme.

However, the all-new F65 will be the star attraction as it “sets the direction for an all-new design language for the F Class, with an emphasis on sculptural surfaces and lengthened feature lines”, according to Princess.

The F65’s extended knife-edge hull window running from the bow is part of a coherent look across new and upcoming products within the Princess range, while the interior styling offers “a light and airy atmosphere … establishing a contemporary feel”, the builder says.

Monaco Yacht Show line-up strengthens

CRN, Sanlorenzo and Sunreef yachts added as almost 80 yachts are confirmed more than a month before the superyacht spectacle from September 28-October 1.

The Monaco Yacht Show website showed a list of 79 yachts already registered for this year’s show by August 25, with over 20 joining in the last two weeks. Organisers expect the number to rise to about 100 by the time of the show, which will be held from September 28-October 1 and headed by the 115m Lürssen build Ahpo (click for Review in Issue 66).

Ferretti Group’s CRN had already announced that its 62m Rio would be exhibiting but it has since been confirmed that the 52m Ciao, another 2022 delivery, will also be in the line-up, while fellow Italian builder Sanlorenzo will be exhibiting both a 52Steel and a 62Steel.

Big yachts recently added to the list include the 89m Amels Here Comes The Sun and new Amels 78 Energy, the 97m Carinthia VII by Lürssen, new 88m Project X by Golden Yachts, 86m B2 by Abeking & Rasmussen and 72m Solo by Tankoa.

Meanwhile, Poland’s Sunreef has confirmed that it will exhibit an 80 Power, Kokomo, along with its new 80 Eco, Marie-Joseph, as it celebrates its 20^th anniversary.

The Sunreef 80 Eco is the first sailing catamaran from the shipyard’s new Eco range and was followed later in the year by the first Sunreef 60 Eco. The 80 Eco showcases Sunreef’s groundbreaking green tech solutions including solar panels built into the yacht’s entire bodywork, including hull sides, superstructure, hard top and even mast.

The propulsion is 100 per cent electric and while under sail, the yacht keeps producing power due to a hydrogeneration system.

The Sunreef 80 Eco will be on display in the Sailing Yacht Area inside Quai l’Hirondelle alongside three other new models: the ClubSwan 80, Swan 98 and the 35m Sorvind by Southern Wind.

Other sailing yachts in the line-up include Advanced 80, 36m Perseverance 1 by Baltic Yachts, 39m State of Grace by Perini Navi and 57.5m Twizzle by Royal Huisman, while Camper & Nicholsons will exhibit the 45m Blush by Perini Navi and the 51m Borkumriff IV by Royal Huisman.

The Italian shipyard has launched the Grande 26 Metri ahead of the model’s world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival.

Azimut has launched the first Grande 26 Metri, which will make its debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival (September 6-11) along with the Grande 36 Metri and the Magellano 30 Metri. Launched in Viareggio, the 26.1m (85ft 7in) superyacht features exterior styling by Alberto Mancini and interiors by Achille Salvagni, like other recent Grande models.

Its signature feature is the aft Deck2Deck™ terrace inspired by the brand’s flagship Grande Trideck. The opening transom comes all the way up to lie flush with the aft edge of the main deck and expands the cockpit, which can be used either as a lounge space or a dining area with a walkaround table. The convertible furniture enables multiple layout, all with clear views of the horizon. Other features include a main-deck owner’s suite with full-height windows.

The Grande 26 Metri is one of Azimut’s new generation of Low Emission Yachts and the first in any category to be fitted with the new 4600 Pod propulsion system developed by ZF. Innovative, high-efficiency propulsion systems and a superstructure weighing 30 per cent less, due to the extensive use of carbon-fibre, results in a 20 per cent less fuel consumption than boats of a similar size, according to Azimut.

Sunreef Yachts opens sales office in Turkey

The Polish builder of luxury sailing, power and eco-friendly catamarans has expanded its sales network with a new office in Istanbul.

Sunreef Yachts has expanded its sales network to Turkey, with Beril Sümen heading the new office in Istanbul. Theurkey office is hosting clients and media on its boats during summer events including the 21st Bosphorus Cup in Istanbul from September 22-25, while the builder will participate at the CNR Eurasia Boat Show at Istanbul Expo Center from December 17-24.

Now celebrating its 20th anniversary, Sunreef has two production facilities and offices in Gdansk on Poland’s north coast, a shipyard and office in build in the UAE (click to read article), a US sales office in Fort Lauderdale and now a Turkey sales office, while it expanded its dealer network by appointing Hong Seh Marine in Singapore (click to read article).

Francis Lapp, the founder and President of Sunreef, “sees a great opportunity in Turkey” for the brand’s luxury catamarans in the eastern part of Europe, where Croatia and Greece are also key markets. Turkey also neighbours the Middle East and is a pathway to Asia.

“Turkey is a strategic choice for the company due to its economy, yachting tradition, location and cruising grounds,” Lapp said. “Recent trends show that yachting is heading east. I am proud of our new office in Istanbul, bringing us closer to our Turkish customers.”

Turkey, which had the fastest economic growth among the G20 countries in 2021, has over 20 marinas with 6,530 berths along its 8,000km coastline and has an ambitious programme to build more marinas, attracting major developers to the country.

Absolute to debut new flagship at Cannes

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, Absolute will stage two world premieres among its nine-boat display at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival.

The Navetta 75 is Absolute’s new flagship

Absolute Yachts will stage the debuts of the flagship Navetta 75 and the 56 Fly at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festiva, which will be held from September 6-11 and feature over 600 yachts between Vieux Port and Port Canto, the latter hosting all sailing yachts.

The Italian builder expect to display nine yachts in Vieux Port’s Pantiero area (PAN 214-082) including the 50 Fly and 62 Fly along with multiple Navetta models from the 48 to the 68.

The yacht has open aft areas on three decks

The Navetta 75 will be the highlight and features Absolute’s signature cockpit terrace, with modular furniture, stainless-steel guardrail and glazed balustrade offering clear views aft.

The foredeck has a sofa and forward sunpads with backrests that can create aft-facing seats to offer seating on both sides of the table. The large flybridge has space aft for sun loungers and an L-shaped sofa with a table, while the covered area includes a long dining table lengthways.

The cockpit terrace has modular furniture and clear balustrade

The sense of space continues in the interiors, where the main deck features a saloon aft, dining table athwartships, forward galley and raised helm station, with two staircases to the cabins on the starboard side.

The midships steps lead to three guest cabins comprising a full-beam VIP, an en-suite double to port and a twin-berth cabin starboard.

A private staircase leads to the master stateroom forward, which has large hull windows offering plenty of light and great views. Features include a centreline queen berth accessible from three sides, a walk-in closet aft of the bed on port side and a full-beam bathroom in the bow. The room’s forward position increases privacy and reduces noise from the engines and generators.

However, Absolute offers the option of solar panels built into the hard top that can power refrigerators and other on-board systems while at anchor, so that guests can enjoy the sea without the hum of engines.

The Navetta 75 has an enormous flybridge

The design innovation lavished on the Navetta 75 includes a system of stairs and passageways that enables the crew to operate in total discretion without having to pass through the salon or other guest spaces.

Crew quarters offer generous space for up to three, with separate galley and laundry room, features typical of much larger yachts. The crew quarters can be used for extra guests, so are finished at the same high standards as the other cabins.

The British builder staged a spectacular ‘Ultimate Twenty Twenty Two’ party in Mallorca featuring mermaids, acrobats, dancers, live music and a gourmet menu.

Sunseeker thrilled over 260 yacht owners and VIP guests in Mallorca with a spectacular waterfront party held beside an array of stunning new yachts from the British builder including a black-hulled Sunseeker 116 Yacht, Skye, ultimately headed for Japan. Other Sunseekers in Port Adriano illuminated lit by a curated lightshow included a 90 Ocean, Predator 74 and 65 Sport Yacht.

Beneteau to show 16 yachts at Cannes Yachting Festival

Beneteau’s line-up of sailing yachts and motorboats includes four world and French premieres, while sister brands Lagoon and Excess will show new sailing catamarans at Port Canto.

Beneteau will stage the world premieres of the First 44 and flagship Oceanis Yacht 60 sailing yachts at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival. The French builder will also hold the French debuts of the First 36 and Swift Trawler 48, the latter unveiled globally at the Miami International Boat Show in February.

First 44 and Oceanis Yacht 60 will be among seven Beneteau sailing yachts at Port Canto including the Oceanis 34.1, Oceanis 40.1, Oceanis 46.1 and Oceanis Yacht 54.

Beneteau Swift Trawler 48

In Vieux Port, the Swift Trawler 48 will be among nine Beneteau motorboats including the Swift Trawler 41 and flagship Grand Trawler 62, which made its Asia debut earlier this year. All four Gran Turismo models (32, 36, 41, 45) will be on display along with the Antares 11 Fly and Flyer 9 Sundeck.

In Port Canto, sister brands Lagoon and Excess will also show new models. The Lagoon 51 will make its Cannes debut, having premiered at April’s International Multihull Show, while the Lagoon 42, 46, 55, Sixty 7 and flagship Seventy 7 will complete the six-strong line-up of sailing catamarans.
