The Southeast Asia Yachting Conference 2025 (SEAYC 2025) is shaping up to be a must-attend event in Singapore next month. Bringing together key industry leaders, marina developers, yacht builders, charter operators, and marine technology innovators to explore the future of yachting in the region, the annual event is being held over the two days prior to the 3rd Singapore Yachting Festival. This two-day conference will feature expert-led panels, in-depth discussions on infrastructure, sustainability, and market trends, as well as dedicated breakout sessions for targeted industry engagement. Attendees will gain valuable insights into the evolving yachting landscape, from the rise of superyacht exploration to advancements in renewable energy and biofuels.

Day 1 of SEAYC 2025 opens on the morning of April 8, 2025, with a high-profile keynote panel, featuring Marco Valle, CEO of Azimut-Benetti Group, and Arthur Tay, Chairman of SUTL and ONE°15 Marina. This exclusive discussion will provide valuable insights into market trends, sustainability, and the evolving landscape of luxury yacht ownership and marina development in Southeast Asia.

Following this opening, the conference moves into the first industry-discussion Panel 1, entitled Masterplanning: Future Asian Coastal Marina Developments, moderated by Jonathan Sit of SUTL Enterprise, in which marina development experts discuss the increasing demand and upcoming waterfront projects across Asia.

This is followed by a presentation on the Hong Kong International Airport Skytopia Development Blueprint by Cissy Chan from Airport Authority Hong Kong, who outlines plans for the airport’s waterfront expansion, including a proposed 500-vessel marina.

The focus then shifts to the charter and tourism sector with Panel 2, Tourism and Chartering: Market Trends Across Southeast Asia, led by Mike Sagar from Ankor Software, who analyses the evolving charter market and regional tourism opportunities. Vu Tran of Tam Son is also to provide insights into Vietnam’s growing role in yachting and tourism.

The afternoon sessions begin with Icomia: Propelling Our Future, presented by Joe Lynch, the CEO International Council of Marine Industry Associations (Icomia) addressing global initiatives and future developments in the yachting industry. This segues into Panel 3 – Technology Transforming the Yachting Landscape – which explores the latest advancements in electrification and onboard systems, industry challenges, and potential solutions.

Sustainability will be a key focus later in the day with Renewables and Biofuels in Singapore and Southeast Asia, presented by Neste, which operates a Singapore-based renewable diesel refinery. This will set the stage for Panel 4 – Where to Next: Rise of Alternatives and Sustainability – examining innovations in sustainable yachting, how yacht builders, service providers, and marinas can implement these solutions today, and future strategies for industry-wide adoption.
