Galeon Yachts has begun a strategic collaboration with In Situ & Partners, the Hong Kong-based design studio. Headed by founder Yacine Bensalem, In Situ & Partners has already reimagined the interiors and outdoor settings of multiple Galeon models including the recently upgraded 640 Fly and the 620 Fly, set for its world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival (September 9-14).
Asiamarine, which is headquartered in Hong Kong and represents Galeon in key Asian markets, was among those to recently enjoy a sneak preview of the “groundbreaking results” of this collaboration during a private showcase of the 620 Fly at the Galeon shipyard in Gdansk on Poland’s north coast.
“In Situ & Partners has masterfully reinterpreted Galeon’s sporty, transformer DNA through the lens of timeless nautical heritage by creating interiors where cutting-edge functionality harmonises with enduring elegance,” Asiamarine stated.
“Elevating the brand’s recognition, luxury sensibility and user experience, this partnership brings a blend of European craftsmanship and Italian design sensibilities, creating interiors that resonate with a global – and particularly, Asian – luxury clientele. In Situ & Partners has introduced thematic palettes and material blends never seen before on production yachts.”
In Situ & Partners is renowned for its high-end interior and architectural designs for hospitality, office, retail and residential projects. The company’s portfolio includes boutiques for Balmain, retail spaces within The Peninsula Hotels group’s prestigious arcades, and the bespoke interior for the Hong Kong Bankers Club.
As it embraces its debut in the luxury yachting sector, In Situ & Partners paid tribute to the design team at the Galeon shipyard, whose wide range of motoryachts spans in size from the 325 GTO to the 800 Fly.
“This transformation was made possible through close collaboration with Galeon’s talented in-house designers, technicians and master craftsmen, whose expertise and dedication were essential in bringing these beautiful designs to life,” In Situ & Partners stated.
