Poland’s Sunreef Yachts has launched the Sunreef 60 Eco, the second new model from its range of solar-electric sailing cats.
Sunreef Yachts has launched its first Sunreef 60 Eco sailing catamaran, which follows the launch of the Sunreef 80 Eco earlier in the year. Part of the brand’s new Eco range of sailing and power catamarans, the Sunreef 60 Eco is equipped with the shipyard’s own composite-integrated solar panels built into the hull sides, superstructure and hardtop roof.
With a thickness below 1mm, the ultralight solar skin is the industry’s lightest and most efficient solar power solution, according to Sunreef, which says the solar panels have a very high resistance to shock and abrasion due to their advanced integration technique. The Sunreef 80 Eco powerful custom-engineered battery bank.
Outdoor areas include a large flybridge with a wet bar, a sunken lounging area on the foredeck and a full-beam aft cockpit with a big swim platform. The main-deck interior features a saloon with generous lounging and dining areas, with the galley located in the starboard hull. The hulls also accommodate four cabins for up to eight guests.
