Nimbus debuts its largest flybridge at Cannes

Swedish boatbuilder Nimbus has unveiled the Nimbus 495 Flybridge, its largest flybridge model to date, at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024 this week.
The 15m (49ft, 3 in) expedition yacht has plenty of zip
Making its world debut, the Nimbus 495 Flybridge is an impressive 15m (49ft, 3 in) vessel. Designed as an expedition yacht for extended voyages, the new Flybridge marks Nimbus’ entry into the explorer segment and sets a new standard for Nordic coupés.
With its spacious layout and modern amenities, this vessel allows adventurers to cruise in comfort for weeks rather than days. The yacht’s design prioritises social areas and free space, making it ideal for exploring diverse locations. Nimbus cited the Mediterranean and Alaska as ideal destinations.
The design offers a seamless connection between spaces
The Nimbus 495 Flybridge is equipped with an array of features tailored for extended voyages. Its expansive social areas and free space are complemented by modern amenities including a generatorr, a washing machine, and a dishwasher.
Living quarters brings families together
An increased tank capacity ensures longer, stress-free journeys, while large glass windows offer undisturbed views of the surrounding seascape. The design features a seamless connection between the saloon, a large aft deck, and a robust bathing platform on the same level to further enhance the onboard living experience.
Joacim Gustavsson, Chief Designer at Nimbus Group AB, emphasised the importance of the saloon that, with driving controls, dining area, lounge and kitchen is the place where passengers really “live on board.”

The yacht also boasts freshwater accessibility and emission-free propulsion options, catering to environmentally-conscious motoryacht cruisers. With its easy-to-manoeuvre deck layout, the 495 Flybridge is suitable for minimal crew, making it an ideal choice for families or small groups of friends embarking on long-range cruising adventures.
Plush interiors offer continued comfort on longer expeditions
At the Cannes Yachting Festival, Nimbus has pulled out all the stops with an impressive line-up of models.
The star of the show, the 495 Flybridge, made its debut in the water at berth POWER042. Accompanying the new flagship model are several other noteworthy Nimbus vessels, including the versatile Nimbus W11, the sleek Nimbus C11, the compact yet capable Nimbus T9, and the stylish Aquador 300HT.
