Hong Kong to host Asia premiere of Sanlorenzo SL86A

The SL86A will be a highlight of this year’s Hong Kong International Boat Show, where Bluegame founder Luca Santella will be among VIP guests.

Sanlorenzo Asia-Pacific has announced that it will stage the Asia premiere of the Sanlorenzo SL86A at this year’s Hong Kong International Boat Show, which will be held at Club Marina Cove from December 4-7. The company will also display the BG62 from Bluegame, Sanlorenzo’s sister brand.
Featuring a single side deck, the SL86A is among the newest models in Sanlorenzo’s successful SL series of asymmetric planing yachts.
Tom Allen, Simpson Marine’s Country Sales Manager for Hong Kong and China, said: “We are very pleased to be premiering the Sanlorenzo SL86A at this important regional show. Hong Kong remains the most dynamic yachting hub in Asia. With its connection to the Greater Bay Area (GBA) in southern China and a short cruising distance from Hainan, it is also a key regional centre in North Asia.

In another boost for Hong Kong, Luca Santella, Bluegame’s founder and Head of Product Strategy, will attend the Marina Cove show. In addition, on December 3, the naval architect will be a keynote speaker at the Business of Design Week (December 2-6), which is organised by the Hong Kong Design Centre, with Italy as Partner Country this year and ‘Curiosity’ as a leading theme.
“It’s a true pleasure to be in Hong Kong for the first time in an official capacity. The city fascinates me with its energy and enthusiasm for the sea,” stated Santella, a former Olympic sailor, who’s part of the Sanlorenzo group’s strategic leadership team.
“The Asia-Pacific region holds immense promise for Sanlorenzo and Bluegame, and I look forward to meeting the local yachting community to share our vision, where innovation, artistry and sustainability converge.”
