Amels 60 named Memories delivered

The latest Amels 60 superyacht has been named Memories and delivered to her new owner just six months after her purchase.

The latest Amels 60 superyacht has been delivered and named Memories. The name was unveiled during a private ceremony at Damen Yachting’s main Amels facility in Vlissingen in southwest Netherlands. The event was attended by the owner and the crew of Memories.
Moran Yacht & Ship oversaw the introduction of the owner, who purchased the 60m in-build project just six months ago. The brokerage house will also manage the charter programme for Memories, the first Amels new build to feature interiors by London-based studio Harrison Eidsgaard.
Joppe Osté, the yacht’s Project Manager, said: “When the owner stepped in, we were already at an advanced stage of construction. The advantage of this was that the owner was able to make decisions quickly and take possession of it before the start of summer. The custom interiors by Harrison Eidsgaard appealed to the owner, which allowed us to stay on schedule.”

Memories is a product of Amels’ Limited Editions concept, which combines the efficient build times of series models with optional customisations. Like all Amels 60 units, Memories’ exterior was penned by Norweigan designer Espen Øino and features sleek lines and distinctive geometric windows.
Despite the limited timeframe, the owner was still able to make several customisations including changes to the beach club, owner’s areas and sun deck, where a large sofa with a TV that drops down from the ceiling replaced a dining table and a bar. The aft bridge deck was adapted from a lounge area with a TV and games table into an on-deck cinema setup.
For the interior, Harrison Eidsgaard focused on using natural materials in a contemporary, beach house style. The 853GT superyacht features an eye-catching spiral staircase connecting her multiple decks and accommodation for up to 12 guests and 12 crew.

Memories has already begun her journey to Ibiza, where she will begin her first charter season managed by Moran Yacht & Ship.
