The Polish catamaran builder has added a fifth model to its new slim, sleek series of Ultima powercats.
Sunreef has presented the 66 Ultima, the fifth design in a powercat range that also includes the 44, 55, 77 and 88, with Tim Ciasulli among owners who have ordered the series flagship. Like others in the line, the 66 Ultima is available with traditional or hybrid propulsion, with the shipyard’s ‘solar skin’ among advanced green technology options.
Combining the attributes of monohull and multihull yachts, the Ultima powercats are much sleeker and narrower than Sunreef’s standard Power models.
The 66 Ultima has an overall length of over 72ft (22m) yet has a sub-24ft beam, making it less than two-thirds the width of the 70 Sunreef Power, which has a beam of over 37ft. The 66 Ultima also has a shallow draft of just 1.2m, with the capacity for 2,000 litres of fuel and 800 litres of water.
“Her shallow draft, sleek hull shape and high-tech features are a breath of fresh air in yachting,” Sunreef stated. “This dynamic catamaran rewrites the rules of luxury cruising and lifestyle.”
The reduced width has allowed Sunreef to create a full-beam lower deck linking the two hulls, with a spacious, full-beam owner’s suite among guest accommodation for eight guests and three crew. Overall, the 66 Ultima offers 228sqm (2,454sqft) of living space on three levels including a large 35sqm (377sqft) flybridge.
Large social zones also include a spacious fore and aft decks, while a high-low swim platform flanked by drop-down balconies create an ‘ocean lounge’ for sunbathing and watersports, which also benefit from a hidden jet-ski garage.
