Italian builders show new models at Genoa
Azimut, Riva, Pershing, Sanlorenzo, Bluegame, Absolute and Sessa are among builders displaying 2021 models at the 61st Genoa International Boat Show.
After staging the world premieres of the Azimut 53 and 68 – along with its flagship Grand Trideck – at last week’s Cannes Yachting Festival, the Italian builder’s display at the Genoa International Boat Show (September 16-21) includes the two newest models from its Flybridge Collection.
Alberto Mancini designed both the Azimut 53 and 68, having designed the 78 Flybridge launched in 2019. The 53 was launched earlier in the year and the first unit in Asia is in Hong Kong. The 68 is a more recent launch and features an interior by Achille Salvagni with the option of three main-deck layouts, with either galley aft, forward and open or forward and enclosed.
Ferretti Group is also displaying two of its new 2021 models at Genoa – Riva’s 68’ Diable and the Pershing 6X, which completes the builder’s X collection from the 5X to the 9X. Ferretti Group’s other models on display include the Ferretti Yachts 670 and 720 flybridge yachts, Custom Line Navetta 30 and the 48wallytenderX.
Sanlorenzo is displaying the SL90A, which also made its worldwide premiere at Cannes. The SL90A is the builder’s smallest Asymmetric model and joins the SL96A and SL102A from the planing line in the builder’s 10-strong display at Genoa.
The builder’s other models comprise the SL78 and SL86, also from the planing range, the SD96 and SD126 from the semi-displacement line and the SX76, SX88 and SX112 from the iconic crossover series.
Sister brand Bluegame is staging the Italian premiere of the BG72 after its global debut at Cannes, along with the BGX60, BGX70 and BG42. The four boats will be exhibited on the Bluegame quay alongside Sanlorenzo’s SX yachts, providing a natural link as the BGX models and BG72 effectively offer the SX concept in smaller models.
Absolute 60 Fly
Absolute is showing six boats including the 48 Coupé and the 60 Fly fresh from their world premieres at Cannes. Both models feature solar panels built into the hardtop and are showing at Genoa alongside the 62 Fly and the Navetta 52, 58 and 64 models.
Meanwhile, Sessa is exhibiting its new C47 at Genoa, having premiered the new model from its Yacht line at the Venice Boat Show in June before displaying it at Cannes. The builder’s display also includes its entry-level C35 from the Cruiser line along with the restyled KL34 and a KL40 from the Key Largo line.
The third chapter of the New Models 2021 series covers motor yachts from Italian builders Sanlorenzo, Bluegame, Absolute and Sessa.
