The Custom Amels 78 was recently moved out of her build shed as the 255ft Espen Øino design was unveiled outside for the first time since arriving at the Amels and Damen Yachting facilities in 2020.

Daan Langezaal, Amels and Damen Yachting Project Manager, said: “Seeing her in the open air and daylight is a real reminder of her size and presence but also highlights her design and how it has been worked to carry her form beautifully.

We are now looking forward to the next phase and getting her out on the water for the sea trials.”

The 2,885GT megayacht, which has accommodation for 14 guest and 26 crew plus a captain, will spend several weeks quayside at the Vlissingen City shipyard ready to undergo sea trials. When she is delivered in 2022, the Custom Amels 78 will be the largest Amels superyacht built to date in terms of volume.
