CLB88 to Visit Hong Kong Before World Premiere at Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show
CL Yachts has launched its flagship CLB88, which will visit Hong Kong before heading for the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
CL Yachts has launched its flagship CLB88 at its production facility in Zhuhai and will exhibit the yacht in Hong Kong in July before shipping her to the US ahead of her world premiere at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (October 28-November 1). The brand offers a 360˚ virtual tour of the new model at www.clb88.virtual-tour
until the launch of the CLX96, which is currently under construction and scheduled to launch by the end of the year.
Developed in collaboration with international designer Jozeph Forakis, the CLB88 has a RINA-certified hull, engineered in consultation with structural engineering firm Gurit, and was built with a strategic use of carbon-fibre and advanced resin infusion technology.
An evolution of the popular CLB72, the CLB88 has been pitched as the motor yacht 'reimagined', whereas all the talk of reinvention and revolution is focused on the CLX96. For the latter, Forakis started from scratch and wasn't tied to any previous models, from inside or outside CL Yachts.
The 88ft 11in motor yacht has four generous ensuite staterooms on the lower deck including a master and VIP of almost equal size.
Forakis said: “The exterior of CLB88 is designed to stimulate the collective memories and imagination of every yachting enthusiast. Her effortless beauty and balanced proportions are timeless, but her overall look is distinctly bold and contemporary.
“With the interior, pure sun light and open, flowing spaces are the primary ingredients, giving the feeling of being connected to the water and air.”
The CLB88 won the Transportation category at the 2019 Good Design Awards, presented by the prestigious Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design, and was shortlisted for the International Yacht & Aviation Award.
