Currently the world’s top-ranked tennis player, the Spaniard is joining Rafa Nadal, Fernando Alonso and Robert Lewandoski as Sunreef yacht owners.
Carlos Alcaraz
Carlos Alcaraz, the world’s top-ranked tennis player, is joining Sunreef’s prestigious list of celebrity yacht owners including compatriot Rafa Nadal, who won 22 Grand Slam men’s singles titles before retiring in 2024. Nadal (click for interview) received his 80 Sunreef Power in his native Mallorca in 2020.
Still only 22, Alcaraz is on his way to joining the all-time tennis greats, having this year won his seventh Grand Slam men’s singles title with his maiden Australian Open victory. The triumph in Melbourne completed a career Grand Slam for Alcaraz, who earlier won the French Open (2024, 2025), Wimbledon (2023, 2024) and US Open (2022, 2025).

Alcaraz has signed a contract for the construction of a fully customised Ultima 88, which Sunreef states marks the Spaniard’s entry into the world of luxury yachting. The new Ultima line of powercats, which started with the 55 that debuted last year, are built at Sunreef’s new production facility in Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE.
“I decided to order the Ultima 88 with Sunreef because I feel they are not only experts in luxury catamarans but true trendsetters,” Alcaraz said. “Building with them gives me confidence that this will be the perfect yacht to unwind and recharge. I feel that Sunreef and I share the same dynamic spirit — we are a great match.”

Complementing the Sunreef Power range (60, 70, 80, 100), now in its ‘Next’ generation, the Ultima series are slimmer and faster. Featuring a top speed of 26 knots, the Ultima 88 has an overall length of 88ft and a beam of 30ft, which is 5ft narrower than the 60 Sunreef Power Next. Alcaraz’s yacht will include a full-beam owner’s suite forward plus four guest cabins.
Designed with an active lifestyle in mind, the Ultima 88 features a spacious ‘Ocean Lounge’ at the stern. Featuring a large garage and hydraulic platform, the area provides direct access to storage for a jet-ski and watersports equipment, while unfolding side terraces expand the waterside zone.

Turning 23 on May 5, Alcaraz is the youngest of Sunreef’s celebrity owners, which include Nadal (39), current Barcelona and Poland footballer Robert Lewandowski (37) and two-time F1 world champion Fernando Alonso (44), currently racing for Aston Martin. Sunreef ambassadors have included explorer Mike Horn (59) and 2016 F1 world champion Nico Rosberg (40).
Francis Lapp, founder and President of Sunreef Yachts, stated: “Carlos is another remarkable personality joining the House of Sunreef – a community of visionary owners whose achievements inspire the world and bring fresh energy to the yachting lifestyle.”
