Yacht Style presents our third magazine issue of the year, with the annual theme of Powercats 2025, and containing our yearly special feature on the Yacht Style Awards 2025.
As well as the Powercats 2025 round-up, in issue 83 Review pages we go deeper into the very new and fast Aquila 46 Coupe, the first hull of the Amels 80, the Wally wallywhy150, and the Galeon 435 GTI. Three of these won a Yacht Style Award at the 2025 gala-dinner event in April, covered in a 15-page feature. Also in the issue: interviews with CEOs and senior executives of Azimut-Benetti, GX Superyachts, and Fraser Asia; coverage on boat shows include the International Multihull Show in France, Singapore and Sanya; Racing reviews feature Rolex SailGP Los Angeles and San Francisco and a preview of the Rolex TP52 Championship in Portugal.

The Prestige M8, the largest of the Prestige brand’s M-Line multihull motoryachts, powers through Victoria Harbour on our latest cover
Yacht Style issue 83, in keeping with our Powercats 2025 theme, is graced with the cover image of the Prestige M8, which made an Asia debut at the Hong Kong International Boat show last December and is set to be on show at Royal Phuket Marina, for a Thailand VIP premiere held by Asia Yachting from June 21-22.
Powercats 2025
The rise of power multihulls continues, with superyacht makers – such as Rossinavi (above) – crafting custom builds, and established catamaran brands – such as Lagoon, Fountaine Pajot, Silent Yachts and VisionF – all launching flagships this year. Read more powercat updates in our Cover Feature.
Yacht Style Awards 2025
Another annual theme in this issue is the awaited 2025 Yacht Style Awards, held on April 9, at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove, on the eve of the third Singapore Yachting Festival. Read about the 34 winners, nominees and the well-attended event in our Special Feature.
Amels 80
Issue 83’s Reviews section begins with a Yacht Style Awards 2025 winner, the Amels 80, which splashed in April, with an exterior design by one of the world’s most sought-after stylists, Norwegian Espen Øino, interiors by Netherlands-based Amels and Sinot Yacht Architecture and Design, expansive outdoor areas that include a 6.5m swimming pool, owner’s deck and helipad, and hybrid propulsion devised to be ultra-quiet.
Taking the best signatures of her big sister, the Wally wallywhy200, our second review is the wallywhy150, which packs a lot into a smaller edition, pushing the boundaries of what a sub-24m yacht can do. The premiere hull of the Asia-Pacific edition was on display at the Singapore Yachting Festival.
Aquila 46 Coupe
Another Yacht Style Awards 2025 winner reviewed fits well into the powercats issue: the new Aquila 46 Coupe. The racy Hangzhou, China-built two-stateroom multihull, which achieves remarkable speeds with either inboard or outboard engine options, premiered at the Miami International Boat Show in February.
Galeon 435 GTI
Another Award-winning review is the zippy Galeon 435 GTI, a contemporary evolution of the Polish shipyard’s grand touring concept, resulting in a sporty day cruiser powered by sterndrive propulsion, with a sleek silhouette and practical appeal.
Marco Valle, CEO, Azimut-Benetti
In this issue’s two Leaders interviews, first read the thoughts of Marco Valle, CEO of Azimut-Benetti, who outlines the latest projects from a shipyard that has led the Global Order Book for a quarter of a century and recently launched a new type of boating with the Seadeck Series.
Vladimir Zinchenko, CEO, GX Superyachts
The second Leaders interview is an audience with Vladimir Zinchenko, CEO of new yacht brand GX Superyachts, currently building its debut hull, following 16 successful years producing Greenline Yachts.
Fraser Asia Team, with visiting Monaco executives
An illuminating Profile interview this issue hears from senior members of the fast-expanding Fraser Asia sales, charter and yacht services team, and incorporates comments from its Monaco-headquartered executives, on strategic proactive collaborations between regional teams.
Column pages include incisive takes on two key yachting areas in Asia. Ruurd van Putten, veteran of three decades working in Vietnam in the marina industry, now Marinetek’s Area Director for Southeast Asia, believes the country is on course to reach its full yachting potential. And Lawrence Chow, Chair of the Hong Kong Boating Industry Association and of Icomia Asia Working Group, founder and Director of Marine Asia, and manager of China Pacific Marine, examines new marinas and yacht tourism prospects in Hong Kong.
3rd Singapore Yachting Festival
Our Shows section reviews the four-day Singapore Yachting Festival in April, noting its premieres, as well as recapping the two-day Southeast Asia Yachting Conference that preceded it with a stellar line-up of speakers.
International Multihulls Show 2025
We also look back on the International Multihulls Show in La Grande-Motte, France, which presented a debut power-catamaran area in April, and in Asia, we review the Sanya Boat Festival show in April, and look ahead to the Thailand International Boat Show A Luxury Lifestyle Event, in January 2026.
Rolex SailGP San Fransisco
The Racing section’s global foiling and sailing events include a review of the recent Rolex SailGP Los Angeles and San Francisco races, and a preview of July’s Rolex TP52 World Championship in Cascais, Portugal.
Shanghai Sunreef Lounge launches
Events pages this issue are from France and Asia. They include images of recent elevated happenings in Singapore, Shanghai and Hong Kong – the latter at the second edition of the Asia-Pacific Superyacht Summit, for which Yacht Style was once again delighted to be a media partner.
Second Asia-Pacific Superyacht Summit soirée, in Hong Kong
It’s another issue of page-turners with plenty of Asia-Pacific focus – enjoy the read.
