The new Custom Line 140’ adorns YACHT STYLE’S first cover of 2023 and is one of four Review features in the issue. Designed by Francesco Paszkowski and Margherita Casprini, the 140’ is the Ferretti Group brand’s powerful, voluminous new flagship, with an Asia-based client securing one of the first units.
Review: Azimut Grande 26M
Azimut alone launched three new superyacht models last year including the Grande 26M. Designed by Alberto Mancini and Achille Salvagni, the five-cabin 26M is the new entry model for Grande range of superyachts, with highlights including a first use of ZF’s Pod 4600 propulsion system, a 50sqm flybridge and the aft Deck2DeckTM Terrace.
Review: Beneteau Oceanis Yacht 60
Beneteau’s new sailing flagship, the Oceanis Yacht 60, is also in the spotlight and another design by Italians Roberto Biscontini and Lorenzo Argento. Unveiled at the Cannes Yachting Festival, the yacht has already secured multiple sales in Asia.
Review: Jeanneau Merry Fisher 1295 Fly
There’s also a Review of the Jeanneau Merry Fisher 1295 Fly, which is the new flagship of Jeanneau’s most popular outboard range in Asia and offers new features including an aft galley and a drop-down bulwark.
Shipyard: Ferretti Group in Italy
Shipyard profiles the Ferretti Group’s diverse network of production sites from Italy’s west coast to the east coast, and up north by Lake Iseo, witnessing a fast-moving company continually upgrading and expanding both its facilities and its collection of yachts.

In Leader, Vice-President Giovanna Vitelli explains why the family-owned shipyard is currently sitting on a record order book and tops the 2023 Global Order Book for 24m-plus superyachts for a 23rd straight year, also outlining the company’s ongoing drive to producing ‘Low Emission Yachts’.

YACHT STYLE’s annual list of Asia’s Yachting Leaders has expanded to 120 personalities as it recognises the growing range of personalities playing key roles in steering the luxury boating industry across the region including the Gulf, which will be in the yachting spotlight during the Dubai International Boat Show in March.
Windie Tsoi, a yacht consultant now based in the UAE, is among contributors in Column, along with Lies Sol of Northrop & Johnson, who outlines positive signs for Thailand’s superyacht industry. Meanwhile, Robert Van Tol discusses the Water Revolution Foundation’s new Yacht Environmental Transparency Index (YETI), which compares yachts based on their environmental credentials.
Sustainability focuses on the inspiring OceanR, which is headquartered in Ireland and manufactures in Latvia. Designing and manufacturing high-tech apparel and products made from ocean waste, OceanR has recovered over 1 million plastic bottles to create an online retail portfolio along with custom-designed collections for clients such as Necker Island and Four Seasons.
Events: Seakeepers Asia Awards Dinner
Finally, the Events section is again lively with the Seakeepers Asia Awards Dinner, Voyager Christmas Party and the Ferretti Beach Out among a colourful series of events in Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand and the UAE.
