Vietnam’s Tam Son represents Azimut

The Italian builder of motor yachts from 34-125ft has appointed Tam Son Yachting as its authorised dealer in Vietnam.

Azimut Yachts has named Tam Son Yachting as its authorised dealer in Vietnam, a Southeast Asia market where interest in luxury yachting is on the rise. The appointment expands the Italian motor yacht builder’s extensive distribution network in the region and follows positive results in Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore.
Filippo Tomasoni, Azimut’s Sales Manager for East Asia, Oceania and Africa, was instrumental in creating the new dealership and said Tam Son Yachting’s appointment would open a new market with big growth potential.
“We are delighted to enter into this partnership with Tam Son Yachting,” Tomasoni said. “Their experience in the area will be invaluable in developing a market that we see as extremely promising.”
Azimut has been growing its presence in Southeast Asia in recent years
As part of the Openasia Group, a multi-industry investment group founded in Vietnam in 1994, Tam Son Yachting represents multiple European yachting brands, manages marinas and has a technical servicing centre.
Based in Ho Chi Minh City, the company offers an integrated range of services from consultation for those considering purchasing a yacht through to boat management, technical and other service support, together with concierge solutions.
Along with Azimut, Tam Son Yachting also represents Beneteau power and sailing yachts, Lagoon catamarans and Zodiac RIBS.
Azimut completing Grande Trideck
The Italian builder is busy finishing the 38.2m Grande Trideck, its biggest-ever yacht, for delivery in early 2021.
