Two units of the Sanlorenzo SD96 will soon arrive in Asia, with hulls heading for Hong Kong and Phuket. First seen at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2019, the SD96 joins a semi-displacement range that also includes the SD118 and SD126.

Zuccon International Studio, Sanlorenzo’s regular collaborator, designed the exterior of the SD96, while Sanlorenzo appointed acclaimed Spanish architect Patricia Urquiola to work on the interiors.

Spanish architect Patricia Urquiola developed the interiors

“Our starting point for this collaboration with Sanlorenzo was doubtlessly the sea, a great source of inspiration for the whole development of the concept and therefore the interior of the yacht,” Urquiola said. “The materials, shapes and colours evoke the marine world, creating a flowing and elegant space full of natural colours.”

The SD96 sold into Hong Kong will feature Urquiola’s interior design, while the Phuket hull will have a bespoke interior by Sanlorenzo’s design team.

With the more powerful option of twin 1,380hp MTU engines, the SD96 has a top speed of 20 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots, and a range of 1,800nm at 10 knots.
