Sunreef Yachts has been commissioned to build two Sunreef 100 Eco sailing catamarans, which have been ordered by repeat Sunreef clients, according to the Polish shipyard. The sales of the two ‘supercats’ follow the first orders for the even-larger 43M Eco (143ft) sailing cats that were announced in late 2022 and early 2023.

“With a growing interest in large eco-responsible catamarans worldwide, Sunreef Yachts is pioneering a sustainable revolution in the superyacht world,” the shipyard stated.

The Sunreef 100 Eco has an overall length of 96ft and a beam of just over 42ft, plus a water capacity of 1,600 litres. The sailing cat has a different hull to the 100 Sunreef Power (cover story, Issue 65), which has a sub-94ft overall length and a beam of 44ft 4in, and has received multiple orders since hull one was launched in 2021.

Like other models in Sunreef’s Eco range, the 100 Eco is designed to provide a silent, emissions-free cruising experience by using high-tech in-house solutions including 1mm-thin solar panels that can be integrated into the hull sides, superstructure, hard top and even mast. The Sunreef 100 Eco can generate up to 45.1kWp (kilowatts peak) depending on the solar panel coverage.

The Sunreef 100 Eco also includes custom-engineered batteries and twin state-of-the-art, 180kW electric engines that offer e-motoring with no fumes or vibrations. While the yacht is sailing, hydro-generators can provide another steady supply of green energy to the batteries.

Design highlights include a vast ‘ocean lounge’, which combines the aft swim platform and fold-down balconies on both sides, providing direct access to storage for water toys including and diving gear. Furthermore, an invisible aft garage under the cockpit sofa can stow one or two jet-skis and water toys.

The yacht includes large outdoor areas in the aft cockpit, foredeck lounge and flybridge, while interior options on the main deck include a forward master suite.

Sunreef’s dealers in Asia include Hong Seh Marine in Singapore, Lee Marine in Thailand, NextWave Yachting in Hong Kong and Speedo Marine in mainland China.
