Simpson Marine Open Days Hong Kong Shines

Simpson Marine, Hong Kong held an Open Days event – showing new and pre-owned boats – at its shipyard in Wong Chuk Hang from May 10-11.
New and pre-owned yachts were on display
A line-up of European- and UK-built yachts at Simpson Marine’s Open Days mini boat show last Friday and Saturday (May 10-11, 2024) were enjoyed in perfectly-timed bright weather in Hong Kong, just after two weeks of rain.
Held at Simpson Marine’s shipyard in Wong Chuk Hang, close to Asia’s largest yacht dealership’s Hong Kong headquarters, the event welcomed attracted guests looking for the perfect vessel for warmer season cruising.
New and pre-owned hulls were on display. Two Italian Sanlorenzo superyachts were shown: a 2019 SL86 and a 2022 SX76, as was a new UK-built Fairline Squadron 50, two new French Beneteau Gran Turismos: a 45 and a 41. Additionally, a new France-made Lagoon 40 sailing cat, a 2015 Italy-built Ferretti Yachts 650 and a 2009 Sunseeker 88 from the UK shipyard were displayed.
Sanlorenzo SL86
The Sanlorenzo SL86, a flybridge motoryacht with plenty of customisation, low-cut bulwarks and large side windows cut a stylish silhouette dockside. Inside, its saloon was illuminated with natural light.
It’s stablemate, the like-new SX76 looked every bit the crossover yacht built with functionality for long-range distances and an abundance of in-built storage for marine toys, but with a splash of Sanlorenzo elegance in its exterior lines and interior finishing.

An exhilarating flybridge cruiser exquisitely finished throughout, the new Fairline Squadron 50 presented generous social spaces in its size category with multiple lounge areas in the saloon, a recently upgraded galley and flybridge and sun decks are also making the model ideal for gatherings, adventures or relaxed comfort.
“We were delighted to see some of these yachts being secured by happy new owners,” the dealership said on Monday.
