Sanlorenzo Asia Pacific (APAC) has announced a partnership with Vrit Yongsakul to establish Sanlorenzo Thailand, a new company dedicated to the sales of Sanlorenzo and Bluegame yachts in the Kingdom. Sanlorenzo’s presence in the region has grown significantly in Asia since 2015 following representation by Simpson Marine, which has been owned by the Italian builder since March 2024, leading to the expansion of the dealership’s remit and the creation of Sanlorenzo APAC.

Through the partnership with Simpson Marine, Sanlorenzo has solidified its presence across key markets such as Hong Kong, Singapore, mainland China, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia, while Sanlorenzo Australia and Sanlorenzo Vietnam were inaugurated last year. Over 100 yachts have been delivered to yacht owners across the region, where Sanlorenzo Service hubs in Hong Kong and Thailand cater to North Asia and Southeast Asia respectively.

Daniele LucĂ , CEO of Sanlorenzo APAC and Simpson Marine, said: “We are delighted to welcome Vrit and his team into the Sanlorenzo family. Vrit’s deep understanding of the Thai market, his passion for the brand, and his entrepreneurial spirit make him the ideal partner to drive the next phase of growth by Sanlorenzo and Bluegame in Thailand. This collaboration ensures that our clients in Thailand will receive the highest standards of brand experience.”

Vrit is the founder and Chairman of Boat Lagoon Yachting, which was formed in 1994 and represents Princess, Jeanneau and Sacs, while he is also a representative of Burgess in Thailand. Sanlorenzo Thailand is a new venture for the Thai national, a recurring presence in Yacht Style’s annual Asia Yachting Leaders feature.

“I have always admired Sanlorenzo for its artistry, elegance and bespoke design philosophy uniquely tailored to the needs of superyacht owners with a crafted made-to-measure approach and a range of innovative products. It is a privilege to represent such an iconic brand in Thailand,” Vrit said.

“With the launch of Sanlorenzo Thailand, we aim to elevate the luxury yachting experience for Thai clients and strengthen the brand’s visibility in one of Asia’s most dynamic markets, with existing infrastructures, regulations and mindset to support its growth.”

Sanlorenzo Thailand will be headquartered in Phuket and has “plans to establish a strong presence across Thailand’s key coastal yachting hubs”, according to Sanlorenzo APAC.

Nick Stratton, Chief Sales Officer at Sanlorenzo APAC and Simpson Marine, added: “Thailand continues to host numerous Sanlorenzo yachts and superyachts. This new and exciting collaboration only strengthens the country as a key yachting destination in Southeast Asia, combining local experts and direct service from Sanlorenzo APAC.”

Following the establishment of the new company, a series of exclusive events will be held across Thailand, inviting yacht owners and customers to experience the new partnership. Sanlorenzo’s new models include the SD132, while the SX120 and SL110A will also be among world premieres at the Cannes Yachting Festival from September 9-14.
