Sanlorenzo Asia-Pacific hosted a spectacular grand opening for its new Sanlorenzo Australia office at the Jones Bay Wharf in Sydney. Event highlights included Sanlorenzo’s SD126 semi-displacement tri-deck superyacht and SX76 crossover yacht, which were berthed in front of the office beside the BGX63 by sister brand Bluegame, marking its country debut.
The event featured exclusive partnerships with Chopard and Technogym, and was spearheaded by Simpson Marine, whose representation of Sanlorenzo and Bluegame expanded from Asia to Asia-Pacific earlier this year, following the dealership’s acquisition by the Sanlorenzo Group.

“Sanlorenzo’s expansion into Australia is a testament to our commitment to serving the Asia-Pacific region with excellence and precision. The debut of the Bluegame BGX63 and our iconic models, the SX76 and SD126, signals the next chapter in our mission to bring the ultimate yachting experience to new audiences,” Cristino said.

“Australia is already home to several Sanlorenzo yachts, and our aim is to expand this elite community, with more exceptional vessels arriving soon. With this new office, we also aim to build deeper connections with our clients and redefine yachting luxury in Australia.”
Cristino cited Sydney, the Gold Coast and Perth as “epicentres for yachting activities”, with the Whitsundays, Great Barrier Reef and Sydney Harbour among the country’s leading cruising areas.

Australia is among the world’s top 10 countries for superyacht ownership and the leader in Asia-Pacific, with at least 145 yachts over 30m according to the Asia-Pacific Superyacht Market Report 2024 by Superyacht Times. Joachim Howard, Country Sales Manager for Sanlorenzo Australia, was among speakers at the event and spoke of his belief in the country’s yachting industry.
“The opening of Sanlorenzo Australia emphasises our confidence in the Australian market as a key player in the global yachting scene. Australia has long been recognised as a thriving market for luxury yachts, with over 2.5 million recreational boats registered across the country, including a significant segment of high-end motoryachts and superyachts,” Howard said.
