Riva Cento honours Rivamare success

The Ferretti Group brand is producing a limited number of Cento models, which are available in a dark or light hull colour, and either beige or aquamarine upholstery.
Riva is producing a limited-edition series of 12 units of the Cento, which was launched last year to celebrate production of the 100th unit of the Rivamare. The 100th Rivamare was honoured in June 2025 at a private ceremony in Sarnico attended by Alberto Galassi and Jiang Kui, Ferretti Group’s CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors respectively, while the Cento was among Riva’s world premieres at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September.
Based on the design of the Rivamare, with a 39ft LOA and an 11ft 6in beam, Cento has succeeded the Rivamare in Riva’s Open series. Like all Riva models since 1994, the new model was penned by Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta, founders of Officina Italiana Design, working with Ferretti Group.
The Cento’s hull is available in a dark ‘fireworks black’ metallic hue or a light grey aluminium colour. Equipped with two Volvo Penta D6 440 Aquamatic Duoprop DPI engines, the 39-footer reaches a top speed of 40 knots and a cruising speed of 31, while Volvo Penta software automatically adjusts the sterndrive to optimise trim when under way.
In addition, a Seakeeper NG6 gyroscopic stabiliser fitted as standard ensures stability at anchor and contributes to cruising stability. The Cento is also fitted with underwater lights that facilitate navigation and mooring operations in low-light conditions.
As shown in the photos, the leather cushions with ribbed finish – inspired by car design in the 1950s and ’60s – are available in either a beige ‘biscuit’ tone or aquamarine and white.
A surprise beach club emerges when the transom door opens out over the water to reveal two water-facing chaises longues with detachable cushions, plus storage for fenders and a Seabob. The retractable gangway fully integrated into the transom can be opened automatically.
Forward is a full-width sunpad with built-in cup holders. The cockpit is furnished with a C-shaped sofa that frames a foldable stainless-steel table, which features a glossy lacquered mahogany top and an up-down mechanism so it can be lowered flush with the cushions to form a second sunpad.
When required, the cockpit can be sheltered by a retractable bimini top operated by an electro-hydraulic mechanism integrated into the sofa backrest.
There are storage compartments for the life jackets and a shoe drawer. Aft of the port helm seats and companion seat to starboard are two units that include space for cocktail preparation accessories, a drawer refrigerator, a sink and work top, and an insulated cooler.
Two 15in or 24in Boening displays present all data relating to the engines, navigation, cartography, the Seakeeper and the sound system. The steering system is operated by a Volvo Penta joystick and benefits from an electric bow thruster. On the port side of the windscreen is the iconic searchlight inherited from the Aquarama and Aquariva.
On the hull side, the decorative grille that previously covered the air intake has been replaced with a new steel profile containing a polished mahogany insert, decorated with the name ‘Riva’ and a series of small stars.
Below deck is a the fully appointed galley on the starboard side, while the bathroom with separate shower cubicle is on the port side.
The large sofa in the bow follows the shape of the hull and can be converted into a double bed. The forward skylight has a new design, and the side windows amplify the natural light.
