Princess Yachts will stage the global debut of the Y80 at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival (September 12-17), where it plans to display eight models. The British builder’s line-up in Vieux Port will also include the Y95, which will making its first official appearance outside the UK.

The Y95 and Y80 join the British builder’s Y Class of large flybridge motor yachts, which also includes the Y72 and Y85. The Y80’s exterior styling follows the new direction of the Y Class design language with a continuous hull window line graphic and elegant hard top. The yacht is fitted with twin 1,900hp MAN V12 engines expected to produce a top speed over 30 knots.

Three cockpit designs include a traditional C-shaped sofa with additional storage solution for two Seabobs. Options with a large glass balustrade aft comprise either a central cockpit table with freestanding furniture to seat eight guests or the builder’s new ‘infinity cockpit’ layout, first seen on the new Y85, with electrically sliding seating and table mechanism to transform the area from a relaxed sofa arrangement to an informal dining area.

The foredeck can seat up to 10 people and has a traditional forward-facing sofa with a small table facing a larger C-shaped sofa and a bigger table that can also be covered and filled in to make a large sunbathing area. The main-deck interior starts with a saloon that includes an L-shaped sofa to port facing a curved sofa to starboard, where a diagonal cabinet leads the eye to an eight-seat dining table to port, opposite the galley.

The raised helm area includes twin pilot seats in front of the day ahead, and a U-shaped sofa and a table to port. Optional partitions to the galley and wheelhouse are available, as is a helm pantograph door to the side deck.

The lower deck is accessed by port stairs forward of the dining table and has four en-suite guest cabins including a full-beam master midships with large double bed, dressing area, starboard sofa and vanity unit to port. Forward are a double to starboard and a twin to port, while the VIP is in the bow. The two-cabin crew quarters is accessed from the swim platform.
