Asia Yachting has announced the sale of Asia’s first Prestige M8, which had its regional premiere at last year’s Hong Kong International Boat Show 2024 from November 28-December 1, following a private viewing at the Prestige Exclusive Days.
Last month, the regional dealership displayed the 65ft multihull motoryacht at the Asia Yachting Boat Show at the Gold Coast Yacht & Country Club.

“Asia Yachting is thrilled to announce the successful sale of the Prestige M8 in Hong Kong,” stated the dealership, which represents Prestige in Hong Kong and selected markets in Southeast Asia. “This M-Line flagship found its new owner in less than four months, underscoring the exceptional demand for Prestige yachts in the region.”
The Prestige M8 (click for 2023 Review) was acquired by a client who previously owned a Prestige 450 then “briefly explored other brands and has now returned to Prestige”, according to Asia Yachting.

Provisionally scheduled to appear at this year’s Singapore Yacht Festival (April 10-13), the M8 will instead remain available for viewings in Hong Kong until mid-April and could then be relocated to Thailand for a VIP showcase in Phuket in May.
The recent M8 acquisition follows last year’s sales of three units of the Prestige M48 in the region and the growing popularity of power catamarans in Asia and around the world.

Tanguy Tertrais, Asia-Pacific Sales Director of Prestige, said: “The swift Prestige M8 sale demonstrates the growing demand for Prestige yachts and multihull motoryachts in Asia. Our dedication to redefining the luxury yachting experience continues to resonate with clients who value innovation, comfort and precious moments at sea.”
The M48 was the first multihull motoryacht produced by Prestige and had its world premiere at the 2022 Cannes Yachting Festival. Prestige then debuted the M8 at the Cannes show the following year and will unveil the M7 at this year’s edition from September 9-14.
