The second Pershing GTX116 was recently launched in the port of Fano and was built for the US market, like the first unit. Hull two is painted a classic Pershing grey, with a special shade of blue for the deckhouse. The GTX116 will have its world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival from September 12-17.

A collaboration between Fulvio De Simoni Yacht Design and Ferretti Group’s Strategic Product Committee led by Piero Ferrari and its Engineering Department, the GTX116 has a triple water jet propulsion system and a top speed of 35.5 knots with three MAN V12-2000 engines.

The ‘sport utility yacht’ has a 35m hull with a beam of 7.7m and offers 150sqm of outdoor space. The garage can contain a jet-ski and two water toys, while the 39sqm beach club has a teak deck protected by an electro-hydraulic taffrail that opens to connect the beach area with the swim platform, creating a huge space at the water’s edge.

The 40sqm sun deck, reached from the stern area via two outdoor stairways, features outdoor furnishings including modular sofas by Minotti. The aft cockpit has an extendable fixed table, two teak tables further aft and, in this second unit, a large bar unit. The foredeck includes two sun loungers and a circular six-person Jacuzzi.

The main deck contains the spacious lounge and includes a conventional dining table, unlike the first model, in which the owner chose a bar area. The taupe oak parquet by Listone Giordano matches warmly coloured furnishings including a sand-coloured Frau sofa.

Entered from the saloon, the galley is larger than on the previous unit and contains three fridges. The cupboard doors are in warm colours, such as ivory with tone-on-tone colour dots.

The lower deck contains four guest cabins including a master suite featuring a king-size bed by Frau with pecan-coloured finishings and ivory accents, again fitting the palette of warm colours used throughout this second unit. The bathroom contains two regular showers, a central waterfall shower and two entrances, along with a herringbone mosaic by MetalBorder.
