Pershing has launched the first unit of the GTX70, among highlights of the Ferretti Group Brand’s 40th-anniversary celebrations in 2025.

Following the debuts of the GTX116 in 2023 and GTX80 in 2024, Pershing has launched the first GTX70 in Fano, after the yacht was transported 20km along on Italy’s east coast from the brand’s main production facility in Mondolfo. The hull was produced at the Ferretti Group Plug and Mould facility located an hour away in Forlì, home of the Ferretti Group headquarters.

Featuring an overall length of almost 72ft and a near-18ft beam, the GTX70 is the third and smallest model in Pershing’s ‘sport utility yacht’ series, and another collaboration between Vallicelli Design and the Ferretti Group’s Product Strategy Committee led by Piero Ferrari and its Engineering Department.

“GTX70 delivers the sporty spirit and incredibly liveable spaces of the previous models, but in a more compact format that promises a sensational new on-board experience,” Pershing stated.

Profile of the Pershing GTX70 in Fano on Italy’s east coast

Fitted with three 900hp Volvo Penta D13-IPS1200 units, the GTX70 has a cruising speed of 30 knots and a top speed of 35 knots based on preliminary data. The CE class A yacht has a lower deck with three en-suite guest cabins, a main deck and a sportbridge.

Hull one is finished in classic Pershing grey and shows off an exterior design that reprises some of the styling of other GTX models including the near-vertical bow of the GTX80. The slightly convex, stanchion-free sheerline runs from bow to stern, joining up with the aft bulwarks, which open out on either side of the cockpit to form two terraces and expand the beach area.

When the side terraces are open, the beach club has a total surface area of 23sqm, with the first unit including an optional sunpad. The stern swim platform with dual linear lift technology increases the available space by aligning the platform with the beach area and can also be used to launch a jetski or a Williams TurboJet 325 tender.

The GTX70 includes a 16sqm sportbridge

On the main deck, the aft cockpit has a C-shaped sofa and a table, and is fully shaded by the sportfly. As on the GTX80, the cockpit and interior areas are connected via the galley and its up-down glass window.

The widebody structure increases space in the saloon, which contains two facing L-shaped sofas, which are finished in dark nubuck leather upholstery on the first unit. The ceilings of both the saloon and lower deck are decorated with LED light strips that deliver diffused light.

The 16sqm sportbridge is split into three spacious areas, for sunbathing, dining and the helm station. The first hull also features the innovative electric bimini top with prepreg carbon poles, available as an option, which can be used to shade the dining area and helm.
