Nimbus has released its Weekender 11 Legacy Edition, which debuted at the Cannes Yachting Festival a year after the original W11 was premiered. Part of the Swedish builder’s range of Day Cruisers, the semi-enclosed W11 shares the same platform as the open Tender 11 (T11) and enclosed Commuter 11 (C11).
Measuring 12.4m (40ft 7in) in length, the W11 Legacy Edition features an exclusive design package, with light beige quilted upholstery and premium leather accents throughout “embodying the brand’s timeless craftsmanship and Scandinavian design ethos”. Founded in 1968, Nimbus is among the most storied Nordic builders and emphasises its heritage in the Legacy Edition.
The W11 Legacy Edition pays tribute to Nimbus’s history
Niclas Augustin, Commercial Director, Technical Support & Sales at Nimbus, said: “The W11 Legacy Edition represents the pinnacle of what we stand for at Nimbus – seaworthiness, quality you can rely on and functional design, now in a more refined style.
“We’ve incorporated premium materials and unique features to create a boat that pays homage to our past while offering modern-day luxury and versatility for our customers.”
The covered seating area is functional and flexible
An evolution of the W9, the near-41ft W11 has a beam of 3.46m (11ft 4in). Propulsion options include twin 400hp Mercury V10 outboard engines, while a gyro option offers greater stabilisation.
Features include an optional hydraulic swim platform, folding side balcony to starboard, a spacious aft deck with adjustable seating, multiple sunbeds, outdoor gallery options, and ample storage for water toys. The cockpit offers protection and visibility, while below deck, the W11 comfortably sleeps four guests and has a spacious bathroom with toilet and shower.
The foredeck area can also be covered
Asiamarine, which represents Nimbus in Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand, was full of praise for both the Legacy Edition and the original W11, which offers a best-of-both-worlds alternative to the T11 and C11.
“The W11 is the perfect weekender for Asia,” said Raphael Sachs, Brand Manager of Nimbus at Asiamarine. “The W11’s functional and versatile layout, superior stability, and features such as the folding side balcony and hydraulic swim platform are ideal for enjoying the beautiful waters in this region.”
